In the poll I claim to not do any of these things, however I do sing, albiet badly. But I think you were looking for more along the lines of trained/coached and practiced.

My husband plays the paino and the drums. His brother the guitar and we're going to let our kiddos choose their instruments at 10. But growing up my family didn't have the money necessary for musical education where we grew up, nor for the cost of purchasing nor renting an instrument so my musical education was highly dissatisfying.

Let's see. I can sing and play piano, but I can also play clarinet and alto saxophone. I think the saxophone is my favorite... I wish I still had one. Maybe later when I can afford it I will purchase one.

No, I moreso taught myself and learned it officially in highschool and college. But I taught myself by ear, and not by note, so my learning style is quite bizarre
