"I suppose...but still, I'd do almost anything for just a clue..." Amaya replied.
"The main issue you have. You only refer to his silver-hair... That isn't exactly uncommon with some faunus."
"It's not?" Amaya asked, surprised.
"It's just an odd coloring of white. Wolves, Lions, Tigers tend to be more common... but... I'm just speculating that is. If you had another clue I could try to help." She said weakly, conserving her strength for later.
"Sorry...here you are trying to console me when you should be conserving your strength," Amaya said softly looking down. "Perhaps...I could meditate, focus on the events of that night to see if I can find another clue?" she muttered softly, knowing that it was dangerous...especially with the relapse she had during the spar with Team SMER...
"You will NOT until I am better." Raven was weak but she gave Amaya a look that said it all. She would fight the pain to beat her a new one if she did something that could emotionally scar her when Raven couldn't support her properly.
"I was just brainstorming, honest. I would have waited until you got better before asking if you could be my anchor," Amaya replied, knowing the dangers of what could happen if she didn't go into the past without proper precautions, especially if she could cause herself emotional harm. "But thank you for worrying about me love"
"Good... As long as you will wait." Raven sighed, "Never try anything crazy without me. Okay?"
"I will try to keep that promise, but I guarantee nothing," Amaya responded. She knew that it would be impossible to hold to that promise forever, but she wouldn't something entirely crazy on her own. "I also...want to make sure I don't suffer another flashback like that. If someone uses Flame Dust like that, well..." she added, leaving the rest of the comment unsaid.
"You shouldn't suffer like that. There has to be a way to help."
"That's another reason why I want to go into the past actually," she replied honestly. "Now then, how are you feeling? Think you're ready to try and go outside?" Amaya asked her girlfriend.
"With the... sun being up enough, it shouldn't be so cold outside... So yeah, I think I'm ready to try." Raven stood up slowly, getting to her feet by herself. "Let me try to make it to the stairs at least... without assistance... Please?"
Amaya heard the pleading in Raven's voice before nodding. "Alright. But if it looks like you're going to fall, I'm catching you," she responded truthfully as she got off of the bed as well, glad to see that the effects of the Wolfsbane was starting to dissipate from Raven's system.
Raven was fighting it, her body just hurt and she wanted to fall down and cry. She couldn't, she kept the front up as they made their way to the door. "Let's hope the weather stays nice today." Raven said softly.
"I hope it does as well, especially since it hasn't been this nice in a few days," Amaya responded, not seeing that Raven was fighting for every step that she took.
"But it's suppose to rain soon. That's the only thing that hasn't happened." Raven said as they slowly made their way down the hallway.
"I heard that it won't rain until later tonight," Amaya responded as she walked next to Raven, and not behind her.
"Weather is never predictable." Raven looked beside her. "Just, We'll need to keep an eye out for the slightest chance of it raining this early."
"Yeah. We don't want you getting wet. Though if it does happen, I can always use my semblance...if you think you're up to it," she responded.
"We'll play it by ear." Raven said as they reached the stairs and she grabbed a railing. "Stay close... please..."
Amaya entwined her fingers with Raven's and nodded. "Always love" she said softly.
"Thank you." She whispered as they made their way downstairs slowly. It didn't take as long as Raven thought by the time they reached the bottom level. "We had to be on the third floor, huh?" She sighed softly
Amaya giggled lightly at that. "If I remember correctly when our team was formed, you asked Ozpin for the floor closest to the roof so that you could feel closer to the moon," Amaya said before lowering her voice so that no one could overhear what she said next. "and so that you could hold your secret meetings with your kitten" she added.
Stepping outside and onto the grass, she sighed lightly in pleasure as she stepped onto it with her bare feet, enjoying the feeling of the blades of damp, and cool, grass on her feet. Something that even her mother liked doing...and as she remembered that, she frowned. |
"I didn't even think of her till she arrived." She semi-defended the roof choice. She noticed the look on Amaya's face. "Hey... No going down the sad memories on me." Raven said simply, looking around.
Amaya blushed lightly at that before getting her thoughts into order. "Sorry about that, but how did you know I was thinking about the past?" the human girl asked.
