hey... i just had a thought about rules and such concerning children. Say my kids were old enough to be menewsha users(of course announcing to an admin so that the multiple accounts on one IP was explained) how exactly would it work for entering crafts if say i needed to help with just cutting, or putting things in the oven and out, but they did the majority of whatever it is they did.
i.e a little bit of help cutting out the pumpkin for the sharper blade needed spots, but they designed it and everything, gutted it, ect. ? This is all hypothetical because my kids are 1 and 2 and aren't going to be even close to doing that or being users yet. |
I think that would be at the discretion of the judge of each type of contest really. There's no specific rule on that... [sweat]
For this contest I would say that the majority of the work needs to have been done by them as you said, with minimal help with sharp blades, etc. and the design to be entirely their own. I would imagine for a cooking contest that help with hot pans and the oven and/or other things like blenders, etc. would be find but the recipe should be their own and the frosting if it is a cake, etc. But it's really up to the host of the thread. I would say contact them directly and ask if there isn't anything specified in the rules and you have children who would like to enter. Just keep in mind that anyone under the age of 13 needs a form signed by their parents to join. [yes] |
haven't gotten that far into looking at rules yet since they're not even talking. xD but I know it'll be pretty much as soon as they are typing properly (aka reading as well) I'll probably be welcoming them into my nerdy world. So that just needed to be answered for my head.
I'm still sick. I hate this >.< I'm just kind of rambling now. so sorry. It is good to know that I will be most likely be able to help them where needed though. And forms? like print sign and fax forms? |

Personally as long as they did most (75%+) of the work and the mother didn't submit the same thing, I'd be totally fine with it [yes] |
