Taylor let him go, not able to help a bit of worry as he disappeared. There was another rumble, this time closer, and she glanced uneasily at Alissa.

Bucky just quirked a grin, kissed her cheek, and followed Steve out the door. Time to go to work.

Alissa was quick to get back into her normal shoes, wanting to be prepared for anything. With this group, you never knew what was going to happen.

Steve found the first of the robots quickly and dismantled it before glancing around. "Looks like there's a group of them," he said.

Taylor did the same, taking off her skates and slipping her normal shoes on. Then she headed towards the door. She wanted to see what was going on, even if she didn't plan to actually go outside.

"Any idea where they came from?" Bucky asked as he used his metal arm to take another robot out.

"Not yet." Steve managed to track one of them. "Up there. Guess we should take a closer look."

Bucky nodded and went to see where the robots were coming from. He had to take out one or two more, and that's when he noticed something a bit odd.

"Hey, Stevie?" he said. "Don't these tin cans look... I dunno, familiar somehow?"

Steve pondered that as he took out two more.

"I kind of see what you mean," he said, frowning at them. "I'm not quite sure how, but they are familiar."

"Something about how they move, I think," Bucky added, punching another one in the face. The gears and servos in his arm whirred.

Steve broke the last one and huffed. "We'll take some back to Tony to analyze," he said with a little shrug. "Should get us some answers."

"Sounds like a plan to me," Bucky said. He paused when something bright and shiny shot by, high overhead. "Wait a second, was that Iron Man?"

Steve didn't answer, frowning a little. That had looked like Iron Man, and as far as he knew, no one else had a flashy suit of armor they flew around in. "Wonder where he's headed," he murmured.

"That's a real good question," Bucky replied. He hefted half a robot onto his metal shoulder. "C'mon, let's get these to Stark, see what he makes of 'em."

Steve nodded and picked up another robot, carrying it with him back to the tower. He could have called for a pick-up, but it was close enough.

And he would go back and get the girls, and maybe treat Taylor to something sweet for being patient with him.

Bucky was already trying to decide how he was going to make it up to Alissa. He followed Steve back to the tower, still toting the partial robot.

Steve took the parts up to the lab, left a message with Jarvis to let Tony know when he got back (since Tony was out at the moment), and then sent off a quick text to Taylor to let her know everything was good and they were heading back to the rink.

Bucky was texting Alissa, as well.

Still at the rink? On my way back.

Taylor smiled when she got the text from Steve and settled in to wait for him.

Yeah, we're still here, hanging out off to the side. Let me know when you're here.

Alissa grinned a bit as she set her phone down again.

It didn't take long before Steve got back to the rink with Bucky. He immediately started looking around for Taylor.

Bucky headed into the rink again and grinned when he saw Alissa.

"Back," he said, going over to her. "Just some robots."

Taylor waved when she spotted Steve coming back inside. From a distance, he looked alright, but she wanted to make sure he was really fine.

"Oh, well, if it was just some robots," Alissa teased with a grin. "You're okay, though, right?"

Steve smiled as he walked over to her. "Sorry that took so long. Everything okay here after we left?"

"I'm fine," Bucky replied, grinning back. "Gave my arm a workout, but that's all."

"Yeah, everything's alright," Taylor replied. "Everyone got off the ice after the tremors, so we've been sitting here since you left. Are you alright?"

Alissa nodded. "Well, that's not so bad," she said with a bit of a grin. "This time, anyway."

"I'm fine," Steve assured her. "Barely a scratch on me." He smiled as he gently tugged her in closer.

"Right," Bucky replied, nodding. He put his good arm around her. "So, what should we do to make up for this interrupted date?"

"Good," Taylor said, cuddling close. "I was worried."

Alissa grinned. "Oh, I'm sure you can come up with something," she said teasingly. "Like ice cream."

Steve smiled and held her there. "Nothing to worry about this time," he soothed. Because he knew he couldn't promise that she would never have to worry.

Bucky grinned.

"I think I can arrange that," he said. "Come on, I know the best ice-cream place in the city. Hand-made everything."

"Good," Taylor said, cuddling him a bit. "I know your job isn't exactly safe and you know what you're doing, but I still worry."

"Oh that sounds divine," Alissa agreed, gathering up her purse and motioning for him to lead on.

"I know. I wish I could tell you not to worry, but I get the feeling you would anyway." Steve grinned a bit.

Bucky grinned and took her hand, walking out of the rink with her.

"Yeah, probably," Taylor agreed. "So, what's the plan now?"
