You sign up for nano on the nanowrimo website. It's completely free.
|
yep, it is free~
I didn't sign up, I just ride along~ |
but you have to sign up to participate right?
|
nah, I don't need that winner halo.
I just need to know for a fact that there are many more people doing nano to make myself motivated. |
Shadami, your avi is so cool!
|
For me, I couldn't care less about winning and the prizes. they don't really interest me since I don't really think I want to be published or anything since writing is really just my hobby that I enjoy. I think I will just be content if I reach more than 10k words. |
Yeah, i don't like the fact you have t upload it to prove you've written 50k...its like they're stealing them D=
|
Some people are the type to cheat and take the easy way out. So it's understandable. |
Which is why it is not about signing up to JOIN the NaNo.
|
i don't think i will sign up than. i will just do it with you all.
|
Yeah, i like to sign up, the forums can be good and it's nice to put in your word count to add it up with your country/county, i just don't upload at the end xD
|
You don't need to sign up to READ the forum.
Well, the community there is rather nice and supportive. If you want to interact with them, then do sign up. I especially love their uber organized forum, I always look into worldbuilding, nano tech, appelation station forum. Very informative. |
Yeah i like reading the fourms too.
I like that thing they have that you put your word count in so it works out how many you need a day to reach your target, or how early you might complete it if you keep going as you are. saves me working it out xD |
oh, that is very useful too, if you want to see your progress chart. For me, I am not interested, so... I didn't sign up.
It is from there I get to know this Scrivener. It is my planner dream come true. Besides, about the posting story to verify your word count. It is not compulsory, and it is totally your own choice. Cheaters may copy paste bunch of crap, but... ultimately, why would someone do it? if the cheater is not interested in writing, then they are wasting time copy and paste 50k of words. If they are after NaNo prize... hmm... free books publishing? % off certain softwares? I don't see the temptation for people to cheat. Yes, I can understand if they want to brag, still... even if you didn't achieve 50k you are not being look down on. I won't say that there will be no cheaters, but I don't see anything beneficial in doing that. |
I mostly signed up to make some Nanowrimo friends. |
Yeah very true, it's a personal goal.
You are writing to prove YOU can do it. I hope i can do it this year so far i've not quite made it that far :( |
i think maybe cause its my first year i'll just watch and write. next year i'll try to write with signing up
|
I fell back to sleep.. Oops. Haha
|
Hey again CLoud xD
And why oops? I was hoping you did xD |
Only oops because I kinda slept through my alarms. And now I'm running begin schedule. Lol
|
running begin schedule? i kinda like that typo, it seems fun. xD
|
Autocorrect on her mobile no doubt.
Oh dear Cloud don't be laaate! D= ---------- Post added 10-31-2014 at 05:48 PM ---------- My kindle does bad ones, it does that swipe thing when i brush my finger too much between keys so it types the nearest word to the brush stroke...sometimes not so good haha. Or last night it kept saying ducks when i said something sucks xD |
I'm running. Begin schedule!
|
I think it is about lunch time. |
I'm a bit late to the conversation but I thrive on the progress graph and 'officially' reaching the goal and getting my certificate on the nano site. I like seeing all my wins lined up next to each other. He he. I wouldn't feel like I was participating if not using it all.
