Had to watch my home-state chef (also executive chef at where I had my Valentine's dinner with my ex this year) on Top Chef! Makes me feel more invested in the show since I've actually eaten the dude's food before. Haha.

Welcome back to us, Kendra.
That's awesome about knowing someone on the show, well in a way.

I'm at WinStar casino right now...through Friday morning.
Then we'll be at Texas Motor Speedway.

We won't be coming home until Tuesday...the day the event is over!
*sob*.

I don't generally have the best wifi here either. It's really really slow.

Oh, back at the speedway. How exciting! Do you need me to get you a set of the EIs, Jean?

I know for sure that Baskin Robbins carries a pumpkin ice cream and it's damn tasty.

Acobjum 10-30-2014 03:14 AM

In case I can't find it, I will settle for ice cream with pumpkin pie.

Jeannesha 10-30-2014 03:14 AM

It's possible, Queenie.

I have some tokens left over from the last event.
I'm hoping the wifi works better later than it is right now.

There are a few of the event commons that look really nice too...but I may use some gold for them.

Well, I was up really early this morning, so I'm going to hit the sack right now.
I'll be out most of the day tomorrow, but I hope to get back on in the evening.

There are definitely pumpkin ice creams out there! I know that Guernesy farms here in Michigan makes a killer pumpkin pie flavor, so I have to imagine that there are others as well.

Thanks, Queenie! <3
It is! Being in the culinary field myself it's really interesting to watch in general, and it makes for an interesting networking tool.
One of the other chefs from this season started following me on Twitter last week, and I had the opportunity last year to work at the restaurant where a previous contestant is now chef de cuisine.

Ivvy 10-30-2014 03:17 AM

Apparently I am trying to miss another event

Elirona 10-30-2014 03:20 AM

Good night, Jeanne! :3 Have fun tomorrow!

That's way cool. My older sister is a Chef. She makes some of the best stuff I have ever tasted.

Sorry if I drift off and get quiet, took some tylenol pm because of the shoulder and it's starting to kick me in the ass.

Acobjum 10-30-2014 03:21 AM

I have 5 tabs up: math discussion board for class, a youtube discussion board for Lost Children, and two tabs with each having a different theme for Jack Turner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-V-6N1LiwI and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1OsGeEjnxg Lots of multitasking.

Elirona 10-30-2014 03:22 AM

I like pumpkin flavored things, but I tend to get sick of them really easy.

Queen_Andais 10-30-2014 03:22 AM

Well holy shit, Ivvy! You made it this time.

I am almost waiting to see if your head explodes. [squee]

Elirona 10-30-2014 03:23 AM

So, we watched The Normal Heart in my Sociology class today. It was really sad. :c

Queen_Andais 10-30-2014 03:25 AM

O.o, not sure I know what that movie is about, Elirona?

Mnemosyne 10-30-2014 03:26 AM

They're annoying and make me want to shoot things. My mom is wonderful though and drove 45 minutes to give me her car so I can get to work tomorrow.

Elirona 10-30-2014 03:27 AM

It's a movie that focuses around the beginning of the AIDS epidemic in the early 80s gay community in NYC. I live right across the bridge in NJ, so it hits a little close to home.

Mnemosyne 10-30-2014 03:32 AM

I am watching the most idiotic movie. :/

Elirona 10-30-2014 03:33 AM

Ooh, what movie, Mnem?

Ivvy 10-30-2014 03:33 AM

What can I say my event senses were tingling I guess..lol Have had a mondo blah day so I thought hey lets go bug me mene friends..lol

Elirona 10-30-2014 03:33 AM

Yay, bugging mene friends! [eager]

As my dad would say, if it has tail pipes or testicles, it's bound to give you problems.

Wow, that sounds like an intense movie to watch.

Mnemosyne 10-30-2014 03:34 AM

I'm with you on the blah day, ivvy!

It's called Dale and Tucker vs Evil

---------- Post added 10-29-2014 at 08:35 PM ----------

That's some good logic Queen.

Elirona 10-30-2014 03:35 AM

Yeah, queenie. It was really sad. :( It also deals with the stigmas that exist in terms of the gay community.

That does sound really dumb, Mnem. :P

That's some good logic Queen.

I've seen that movie on Netflix, but it lacked that certain something to engage me to want to watch it.

Dad is filled with awesome logic like that.

My dad was raised in San Francisco, you can bet that we were raised to be very open people. Live and let live, love whomever makes you happy. (Mom and Dad are hippies, if you couldn't tell)

Elirona 10-30-2014 03:42 AM

Hippies are good! :3

Kirin Rosenbaum 10-30-2014 03:43 AM

anybody want to get me the lacey dresses?

Elirona 10-30-2014 03:44 AM

Why not request one of them from Queenie, Kirin? She's offering an item request thingy in the beginning of the thread. :3
