Yeaah.... Forensics interests me, but I just couldn't handle what comes with it for field work and not brainy enough for the labwork side. >_<;

Writing and art come with practice, but you pretty much have to say, "Yeah, this is something I think it's worth my time to study properly." Doesn't have to be your career right off, but you have to commit to it for it ever to be your living. If you can't see yourself doing it, it's fine to just play with them, I think. xD

I used to look into things that looked like they'd be fun. A location scout for tv/movies sounded like a LOT of fun. I never really looked into that one, though. Kinda feel like you'd have to have something else going on the side. I might still get a job at the local museum. I kind of need to get my public relations degree and to get that, I need an internship (and the museum has one). But working at a museum has always sounded like fun in general. I think that's kind of why I've ended up being a writer - a lot of things sound so interesting, but I couldn't see doing it all my life. As a writer, I get to live vicariously.

Lost my train of thought, but the basic idea I was going for was you should think of things that you're even a little interested in and research more into them to see if they really suit. Could find your passion that way. :3

Antagonist 11-03-2014 04:07 AM

Yeah, definitely not brainy enough here either. [XD];;

I'd probably just be an amateur writer that writes for fun. I won't be able to do it professionally, I'd starve. [lol]

I don't know what I'm interested in that will be able to become a source of income, so it sucks. [:(]

CK 11-03-2014 04:11 AM

Yeah, I feel ya. xD;

Adult life is hard. :P

Antagonist 11-03-2014 04:13 AM

Yeah. [gonk] Worked as an administrative assistant at a college for two years, currently studying and hopefully get a teacher's license though I have no interest in teaching itself. Thinking about maybe going into the hotel desk service or something.

Being an adult makes me sad D:

Antagonist 11-03-2014 05:03 AM

I hate being an adult. -_-;

Arc Angel 11-03-2014 05:04 AM

I'll cling to college years as long as possible >.<

Antagonist 11-03-2014 05:09 AM

I wanna go back to my kindergarten years! Or maybe elementary. XD

Arc Angel 11-03-2014 05:10 AM

Elementary was awful for me... but kindergarten, I'd definitely go back to [yes]

Antagonist 11-03-2014 05:11 AM

Yeah, my elementary years weren't that great either, but still...if I had all my memories in tact, it would be a lot more fun I think.

Arc Angel 11-03-2014 05:14 AM

Could be true.~

Instead of going back, I'm making the most of now with bubble tea and fried cheesecake [drool]

Antagonist 11-03-2014 05:15 AM

I'm just sitting in class pretending to be listening. XD

Arc Angel 11-03-2014 05:16 AM

That's my favorite xD Menewsha instead.

Lectures aren't the same when you actually need to lsiten xD

Antagonist 11-03-2014 05:18 AM

Yeah. I can do that for this class, but for Statistics I won't be able to or I'll never understand anything. [sweat]

Arc Angel 11-03-2014 05:25 AM

Statistics was great, here. I never went to class. xD
I also took the easiest one available, though, and fell asleep during that final. o.o

Antagonist 11-03-2014 05:28 AM

How did you pass? O_o;;

We have so many assignments. D:

Arc Angel 11-03-2014 05:50 AM

Well, it was only a nap. I woke up to finish it. xD

It was sorta a joke of a class designed to pass liberal arts kids. >.>;;
The vast majority of the grade was easy homework assignments done online, mostly dealing with finding basic averages and making simple graphs. So, that's why I passed. I never went to class, but did well on homework and showed up for exams.

I'm much more serious about other classes, but that one was a total joke.

Antagonist 11-03-2014 05:51 AM

Ugh. I wish we could have a Statistics class like that here. -_-;

Arc Angel 11-03-2014 05:53 AM

Yours is probably more like any other stats class here.~ I hear those are HUGE headaches of classes. I was lucky xP
What're you in school for, Anta?~

Antagonist 11-03-2014 05:54 AM

English, as usual, since I'm useless at everything else. [sweat]

Arc Angel 11-03-2014 06:00 AM

Aww, you're not useless. [hug] Don't say that!
Besides, I'm fond of English majors. I end up in classes with bunches of them, since some here take linguistics courses for electives.

Antagonist 11-03-2014 06:01 AM

Yeah, but being an English major in Taiwan is different from being an English major in an English-speaking country. The level is just totally different. :c

Arc Angel 11-03-2014 06:06 AM

Ohhhh, right. Sorry, I totally just... Didn't even think about that. [sweat]
So, is it taught as more of a foreign language/culture class there?

Antagonist 11-03-2014 06:09 AM

Yeah. Our 'Advanced Reading and Writing' class would probably be like a high school class in reading and writing in an English speaking country...at least, that's how I feel. [sweat]

Some of the classes are more advanced, but it just doesn't feel very...authentic? [:?] But I wouldn't know since I only went to second through fourth grade in the states.

Arc Angel 11-03-2014 06:13 AM

Well, it's still awesome that you're at least bilingual as far as I'm concerned! D: The Russian major I'm pursuing on the side hasn't gotten me that well-acquainted with the language... Besides, high school level English is damn good enough to get through life here~

Hmm. o.o Well, maybe at some point you could visit again for a more authentic experience? Or... I don't know. Find English textbooks for college kids here?
