Waiting...
Okay, so I'm waiting for my teacher to show up for my class, and I am incredibly bored. I realized that, while we're all waiting for something, we need things to do to occupy our time! What do you do to make your time pass quicker?
For me, I like to browse menewsha on my phone, read a book, or play video games on my 3DS. |
mene♥, of course also listen to music, and i like youtube, way too much! |
Do you have any favorites to watch on Youtube, Hummy? :3
|
i tend to play games on my phone...and just watch videos a lot D8> (like anime, youtube, netflix...)
|
oh yeah.....phone games |
phone games are great :D
though, i tend to go through stages of high activity and low activity not sure why.....i have a feeling it has to do with exams [ninja] |
Read articles on NPR. Read reddit, go through my Tumblr. I like playing bubble shooter games and word scramble ones.
|
it is so seldom that i get that free time... and more less now that my little daughter has the chicken pox and not going to school but when i do get it, i like to watch some movie of new episodes of Castle or NCIS hehehehe
|
I WOULD watch television on my phone, but Netflix eats up my data. ;-;
|
I usually converse with my friends in real life while waiting.
|
How do I occupy myself when waiting for something? Ooh, should I even answer this?
Here's a short list: Stare at the wall. Touch myself. Pick my nose. Practice astral travel. Take a nap. Find something to eat. Play music in my head from memory. Wish there was food. Shake my leg like it's having a seizure. Have a seizure. Slump against the wall with my head between my knees, thus remembering I need a shower. That's the short list, the long list takes too long to type out. |
Those all sound very dangerous and at the same time kind of exciting, Vera. :P
|
I forgot to mention that if I do not have any friends around, and do not feel like chatting up strangers at the moment, I do some people-watching. :) I'll watch and listen to people's conversations around me.
|
Whenever I was waiting for class to start, I would either be frantically trying to catch up on reading assignments, or playing mobile games on my tablet. I most often played Blood Brothers (essentially a trading-card battle game), and Magic Tree (a cute farming game from Korea).
Now that I have a smart phone, I have a couple casual puzzle-type games that I play. If there is an internet connection, sometimes I play some otome games. Or sometimes I read fanficiton. [ninja] I also listen to music on my phone a lot, particularly when I'm walking to and from town. |
When it's class I'm waiting on it depends, if there's a test I'll get in some last minute studying. If not then I'll read for fun or games or doodle. Maybe grab some coffee or a snack if it's me that's early and not the teacher late.
At work its about the same, except I'll also do art stuff too or work on a lesson plan. At home is also pretty much the same, adding tv, youtube and twitch to my choices. Music too if I want a distraction but don't feel like doing anything else. When I'm out and about I'll do almost all of the above, depending on my mode of transport. If I'm walking it's usually music, bus rides are for games or reading. Waiting for something to start, like a movie or to be served is usually quiet conversations with whoever I'm with. Sometimes I'll play some of the games on my phone too, the cafe game I play you have to collect the coffee beans and baked goods before they spoil. And texting is something I do all the time. Oh, tumblr, Pintrest and twitter are mixed in there too when I've got wi-fi access. |
Thinking about something interesting makes time zoom by. I think a lot. My mind never shuts off. I'm constantly thinking about the past, and I literally always have a song in my head. I'm unable to remove background music from my thoughts. If I get tired of a song, I have to think of another to replace it. Are other people really not that way?
/"OMG I HAVE A SONG STUCK IN MY HEAD" /don't you always? If the surroundings are proper, I'll write out some planning for a story. Said thinking often involves OCs. [XD] |
I'm really the worst when it comes to reading assignments. I never actually read, barely skim over the spark notes, and still somehow manmanage to do well.
|
Hrrrm... To make time pass more quickly.. If possible I'll talk with friends. [lol] Like if it's kind of slow at work, I'll go chat it up with a coworker. Otherwise, I just daydream. Or do anything online.
Much time has been wasted on Tumblr. [lol] |
I mindlessly browse tumblr or facebook when I'm waiting for something or someone. Or I text some people.
But if I have computer access, I usually come to Mene or go straight to youtube. Love the youtube. |
Ooh yess, Youtube. I completely forgot about Buzzfeed too. [lol] Sooo much time wasted there.
