Capri snorted and shook her head. "Well, come on, we may as well go find one of these coffee places and grab some tea. Actually, we should probably go ahead and make a shopping list, get whatever we'll need for our kitchen."
Felicity nodded and followed Capri.
"You go first," she said. |
Capri snorted as she headed down to their suite, and then she moved into the kitchen. Nothing moved in there, so she started rifling around through the fridge and cabinets to see what all they'd need.
Felicity explored the suite itself.
"Oh my god, Capri, did you see this bathroom?" she called to her friend. "It's huge!" |
Capri abandoned the (absolutely lovely and fantastic) kitchen for the bathroom, looking around in awe.
"Okay, maybe this won't be so bad after all," she said, slowly grinning. |
"This place is huge and expensive," Felicity said. She reached out and cautiously touched the countertop in the bathroom. "Look. Solid granite."
"Look at the tub," Capri said. "I could fit like four of me in there." And she very much wanted to take a long bath later that night.
"Four?" Felicity asked. She grinned. "Six, at least. That thing is massive."
"Yes it is and I plan on monopolizing it later, although we could totally put on our swimsuits and lounge in here and not even touch each other." Capri grinned.
"We could," Felicity agreed. "Look at it, it even has jets. It's perfect."
"Our chances of surviving the next year and a half with sanity intact just went up dramatically." Capri grinned, far too pleased.
"Yes they did," Felicity agreed. "We might just survive this thing."
Capri grinned and went to go make some cookies, because all they were missing were comfort cookies. She even had enough random shit to throw in the cookies to make them good.
Felicity just went to try to settle for a bit. She needed to get used to the place before she started her actual work.
Capri made two dozen cookies and went back to her room briefly to grab a few things to start spreading out and settling in. When she got back, four of the comfort cookies were gone.
Clint had already retreated into the vents again with his prizes, and was sampling one of the cookies. They were actually really good. He would have to let the others know that apparently one of the contract girls could bake.
Capri saw the vent move, just a little, as it settled back into place, and she retreated from the kitchen, because that was just too fucking weird for her right then.
Felicity saw Capri come out of the kitchen.
"Something wrong?" she asked. |
"The vent stole some cookies," Capri said, completely deadpan. And completely serious.
"The... vent?" Felicity asked, baffled.
"If I may," Jarvis broke in, "Agent Barton has a habit of moving through the ventilation system at a whim." |
"...Is he the one that stole four comfort cookies?" Capri asked, because that was just so wrong. Both things, actually, because you didn't just go around stealing people's cookies.
"Most likely," Jarvis replied. "Agent Barton's sweet-tooth is rather well-known in the Tower."
Capri actually whimpered a bit, because she was so not prepared for this.
"Think if I just binge-bake and leave most of it upstairs for them they'd leave our stash alone?" |
"It is possible," Jarvis said.
"Do it," Felicity said. "It's worth a shot." |
"Once I get all the ingredients needed for a baking binge. I can go to the store sometime. Tomorrow, maybe. Don't have the energy for a full baking binge today." Capri shrugged.
