Ebony blushed as he returned her kiss. She smiled and just rested against him as he walked. For the first time she was content. There was nothing she wanted or needed just being here in his arms was enough. She smiled as she saw the dragon cave and the clearing. She agreed this was peaceful and better than anything else she could think of. "I love you Tallis." She said wondering what he meant by his last phrase. She didn't want to do anything other than just be with him. She felt a little confused by the statement and finally just ignored it. She grinned as she gently pushed him to his back as she laid next to him on her side. Her body slowly melted to his as she rested her head on his shoulder her hand on his chest as she just laid there.

She laid there for a while just happy to be there with him. It felt like a dream had final came her way after the long nightmare. Leaning up she began to kiss him again loving. She closed her eyes as she indulged herself taking in everything about the kiss. The way his lips and skin touching hers sent electricity through her. He sent was unlike anything she had known. Most would pass it off a a musty male animal smell. However that wasn't the case. He was just like the alpha male animals he kept. Her hands gently traced his broad shoulders as she loved feeling them again. He had always reminded her of the large male dragons. She had given them nick name of Dragon due to it.

Slowly she open her eyes as she let the kiss fade returning to her position beside him. She was afraid if she didn't he may get uncomfortable. The truth was she was afraid she would go to far. She had never felt the intensity of emotions as she did today. The thoughts she had of him made her blush. She knew most of it was due to her changing. Most mermaids didn't think or enjoy simple pleasures till their coming of age. Their senses were heighten at the change. Apparently their inner urges too, Ebony thought as she blushed. Maybe it was just the time that had passed she wasn't sure. She kept to his side as she just lessen to him breath. She found contentment in that as she wondered if the King was really wise in letting her and Piper out.

The change, changed everything down to their sent. It made them easy to arouse a side effect Ebony could live without at the moment. It also increased their powers awakening their full powers witch meant Piper would soon have more magic than she knew what to do with. Ebony just prayed she got through this without harming Tallis. Mermaids during the change could get a little aggressive when they don't get what they want. She knew Tallis was fragile in many areas of his life. He had been torn the first time he kissed her thinking it was bad. She had spent some time convincing him it was alright it was normal human emotion. Emotions had been so foreign to him.

She smiled as she peered up at him happy to see he finally got in touch with his emotions. No man land or sea liked getting in touch with their emotions. Most women didn't either she thought as she laid there. She wondered if women should be allowed to get in touch with their emotions. Every time they did anger was the first to show it's head, followed by jealousy, and vengeance. She closed her eyes as she just found peace lessening to him breath. She cleared her mind of her own thoughts knowing none would be better than the ones she harbored at the moment. After a while she just found peace.

Loki just laughed hearing Piper. He would never get board with her around. He found her refreshing and honestly loved how open she was. "Well Princess the green there is the forest. The purple is the library though I'm not sure why it's purple. The rainbow color is the city." He answered as he tried to keep up with her questions. He smiled as he heard her speak of Tallis and Ebony. "Really? Where?" He said as he saw the two. He was happy they seemed to be together and no one was bleeding. "Maybe they had reconnected. " He said as he let go over her letting her fall slightly before catching her arm allowing her to touch the ocean as he flew further out with her. He flew for the what seemed like hours loving every moment. He showed her the forest even landing in the middle so she could touch and see. He flew to the mountains so she could see. Finally he returned her back to her own room. He collapsed on the floor his body exhausted from all the flying.

"I haven't flown so much every." He said happily as he was unable to moved. It was a side effect of using so much of his own power. Ebony had been right all power magic or other had a price one must pay to use it. "I think I'll just lay here awhile." He said knowing he couldn't move at this point if he wanted to. He hoped she wouldn't mind the slight intrusion. This wasn't what he had plan however it was better. "After the meting in the morning I can take you to the stables if you like. We can do some horse back riding since I promised to teach you that. I also owe you a trip to the library. " He had been avoiding answer questions about Tallis. He never felt right telling anyone about his friend. Tallis was a privet person and didn't like people always judging him.

Tallis smiled as Ebony moved next to him and they just laid there with her. Gently he ran a hand though her hair and closed his eyes enjoying just being there with her. Nothing could make him upset now, he ahd found the one piece of him that he had been missing for forever. Feeling her kiss, he wrapped a arm around her and kissing her back. Everything about her came flooding to him. How she fit against him like a missing puzzle piece and how her sent made his mind spin just slightly. Yet it smelled different now, almost more tempting and when she pulled away he had to hide the frown that had formed on his face.

Pulling her close, he saw the blush that was on her cheeks and wondered if that was from all the kissing. Smiling, he kissed her nose gently, "still too beautiful for words." he said softly as he looked into her eyes. Gently he stroked her cheek and hoped that nothing would disturb there peace but knew that even if he though that something may happen. Even when she had first came here there moments together were always short and brief since the king wanted her or the advisors needed something from him.

He guessed right because a second later he heard calling. Sighing, he muttered, "things don't change." Slowly siting up, he saw a messenger with a distraught look on his face, "a dragon is causing a ruckus in the village and won't calm down. The king has asked you to go handle the business before it destroys the kingdom." Sighing, Tallis knew that it was probably one of the royal advisors dragons. The king had asked them to each get a dragon of there own but as a result the dragons now thought they were big shots along with the royal advisors and acted like spoiled brats half the time. It got pretty annoying now.

Getting to his feet, he looked down at Ebony, "Want to come?" he asked as he held out a hand to her and smiled. They use to go on missions like this all the time when she first had been here. Since she had made friends with animals almost as quickly as he did it was kind of surprising when she didn't come. "we can go through village then." he said since he knew she would like a walk around the town and get to see everything that she hadn't' seen in a while. The only down side was that a few shops were missing from when she use to be here and others in there place.

Piper laughed as he talked to her and was glad that he didn't mind her asking so many questions. After he answered each one more just continued to come out as she learned as much as she could. When he brought her close to the ocean she couldn't' help but laugh s she touched the surface. How they flew reminded her of how stingrays swam in the water, almost like they had wings.

When they finally got back to the palace she frowned when he fell to the floor. Kneeling down next to him, he touched his face gently, "if you were going to be this tired you should have stopped sooner." she said as she got a little worried. When she heard that he was going to stay there she settled down on the ground with him and placed his head in his lap, "I will stay with you till the meeting starts." she said and then smiled, "but after that I would love to learn how to ride. Maybe we can even race." she said as she remembered the feeling of the wind through her hair. Yet nothing would be like flying just now. "so how long have you been able to fly?" she asked as she pushed the hair out of his face and smiled.

Ebony blushes brighter as his kiss. She laughed as she heard the messenger. She smiled as she got up taking his hand. "Of course someone needs to keep you alive." She said in a playful tone laughing slightly. She knew Tallis was strong but sometimes he pushed his luck. The village was still the same for the most part. She frowned as she saw the bakery they had once loved was gone. She noticed some of the other shops had left as well. "Looks like things have changed here." She said as she looked to him. "Though I'm glad somethings haven't. " She said as she wondered where the dragon was. She knew it wasn't like Tallis to allow any of the dragons to act out.

"Is this one of your dragons? Your dragons are always well behaved and trained well. " She said as she heard screaming as if on que. She hoped this would not end poorly. She believe in Tallis but sometimes dragons could get out of hand very fast. Things could go from bad to worse. The people ran screaming pasted them. Terror was everywhere they looked. Smoke was filling the air. It was devastating the damage that had already been done. She wondered what dragon could do this.

Loki smiled as he watched Piper join him on the floor. "Thank you for joining me, you didn't have to. You are exceptional kind you know that. It is a rare gift to find. " He said as he felt captivated by her. He had never had anyone care about his well being besides Tallis and Ebony. The kindness she showed him touched him something inside of him awakening. He stared at her finding himself captivated by her. He was her prisoner and for some reason he was fine with it. She was the type of girl that could take any mans heart without knowing it. But he knew she was the one that would keep it safe. She was a girl worth fighting for something he hadn't seen before at least for himself. The thought of having to watch her leave for the meetings made him feel sad. He had never met anyone like her. He had never felt so captivated by a person in all his life. This had to be what Tallis felt with Ebony. This is what Tallis had tried to tell him it was like.

"I have flown most of my life. I am one of the few who can control the elements. I found my power out by necessity. I had been abandon as a child. I was left in the mountains here to die. A large bear had found me. I was so scared I fell off a cliff. That was when I learned I could fly. For some reason I thought of wind and when I did the wind came. The King took me in he and his head guard. They trained me teaching me to use my power and giving me a home. Many said I am a wicked boy because of my powers. People here don't take kindly to those who are different. When I first appeared here after falling from the sky they tried to have me burned at the steak, however the King and guard saw promise in me. You have to understand the people of the village are the kind ones like the King. It's the upper class that hate people who are different. The king has tried for years to break them. The king had stripped the nobility of all their power and titles in hopes to teach them humility. It didn't work instead a new group just appeared. Some of the nobles left going to the other human nation. That is where the war comes from here. Just because the King wants to be fair and let people of all races and differences live in peace. That is why I stay and work for the King. I spend most of my time on guard duty at the entrance to our land. I am very powerful and can easily keep a human army out for the most part. Though it comes at a price you can tell. " He said as he grew quiet thinking of his own childhood on the mountain. He had no memories of his parents. He had often wondered if they had left him there because of his powers or if there was another reason. "I wondered if my parents couldn't stand the idea of having a son like me. My power might have shown when I was younger. I might have been drained so much maybe they thought I was dead. I can't be for sore. Ebony had always warned me that magic and power comes at a price. Something I had never really thought about until now. I still don't know how she managed to make your crystal. You have to understand when I tried to help unlock her own magic she refused and would cower. She kept telling me she wasn't ready to pay the price for magic. I have often wondered if something bad happen to her before she washed ashore. When she appeared she had strange markings on her body it almost looked like some one had tired to use her in some ritual. She is kinda like Tallis with her past and memories. Her memories are so blocked from her she couldn't remember if she wanted to, or that is what I gather. I guess we are a messed up bunch compared to you. " He said as he thought about all of them.

"The mage, warrior, and healer. We make the perfect support team." He said as he chuckled at the idea. He shifted his head as he heard screaming. "Oh bloody hell, another dragon it seems. I honestly don't know why Tallis lets the nobles have dragons. I bet you it's one of the advisers dragons. I hope he stays safe. Sadly I'm in no condition to be his back up. Personally I hope he punches that dragon one good time to teach it a lessen." He said as he thought about the other attacks.

Tallis smiled as he kept her close to him as they walked. Hearing her he couldn't' help but laugh, "of course you will keep me alive." he said and couldn't' remember all the times she had actually saved him. Sure he was good but he was a idiot at times and he knew that. "town is always changing but almost always the same." he said when she notice the changed in shop. There were still some of her favorite shops here, just fewer.

When he heard the dragon he sighed, "king wanted advisors to have protecting, gave dragons, bad idea." he said just as they turned to see the dragon. It was a medium sized one but it didn't look happy. Kissing Ebony's keep one last time he then let go of her hand and charged forward. Letting out a roar of his own the dragon turned to him and roared back. It continued like this for a while till the dragon seemed to be getting snippy with Tallis. Finally it attacked and Tallis lunged back. You would think it would be crazy for a human to go up against a dragon, but Tallis wasn't normal. When the dragon tried to breath fire Tallis forced its mouth closed, when it tried to move away Tallis would be in the way. Sure, at times he got burnt and hit, yet it didn't seem to faze him.Instead he would punch the dragon and make it clear that it wasn't the big kids on the block. Finally the dragon seemed more tired then Talli and roared Weakly. Tallis just growled and screamed at it making the Dragon look like it was getting scolded by a parents. Almost as if tucking its Tails between its legs, it started to walk away without a word towards the dragon cave.

Watching it go Tallis sighed, "big bratty baby." he muttered to himself and then looked around at the damage. The town would take a little while to rebuild back to what it was. A few buildings were completely destroyed and some things were still on fire but it could have been worse off. Turning to Ebony he smiled, "easy." and now you could see why people thought of him as a monster. Even though he was beat up and looked like he shouldn't have won, he had just taken on a dragon and was smiling like a idiot.

Piper smiled when she heard him, "I want to stay." she said as she looked down at him, loving the color of Yellow but now it had a swirling colors of Pink and red that was spreading. She wondered what it meant. "and when your blind you learn that you should be kind to everyone you meet and never judge. Everyone needs a little kindness, some more then others." she said as she looked down at him.

As she listened to his story she codlin' help but frown, he had been alone from such a young age. Sure she was blind but she always had someone at her side to help her. It also sounds like it didn't help that others judge him based on his powers and not on who he really was. Running a hand through his hair she sighed, "I am sort to hear that, even mermaids can be very judging towards others." she said as she knew being blind made others be a little hesitant at times to talk to her. Frowning, she shook her head, "I believe that maybe something happened to them, no parents would ever abandon a child." she said as she looked down at him. She then chuckled, "your talking to someone who got blinded by a boat when she was 4 and can't stop asking questions. If you ask me I fit in perfectly." she said as she smiled at him. She liked there little messed up group and liked being round them.

Laughing she nodded, "you really do." she said just before she umped slightly from hearing the roar. "Is Tallis the only one designated to work with dragons or something? and why is it that he is the one to give ou the dragons, I would think that the king would be the one to issue dragons or at least be someone who interacts with them." she said as she looked at him, "and can Tallis really punch a dragon or are you just joking?" she asked a little curious.

Ebony hung her head as she closed her eyes seeing his wounds. She let out a breath as she peered up at him finally. "You never change. " She said as she inspected his wounds. She gently took his head leading him to the local well. She let go of his hand as she pulled a bucket of water from the well. She sat it on the wells edge as she gently guided him beside the bucket. She smiled trying to comfort him. She held his hand with one hand and waved her other over the top of the bucket full of water. The water started floating in mid air as she focused on his wounds. She waved her hand over his wounds as the water followed her hand. The water formed sleeves of it's self hovering above his wounds before a bight light came from it. The water stung slightly before vanishing deep within his skin. As soon as the light vanished his wounds were almost completely healed.

She smiled softly then let his hand go still seeing the fire. She closed her eyes as the wind started to pick up. In a matter of moments the sky had turned gray massive storm clouds appeared over head. As a deluge appeared soaking the entire kingdom in water. The fires vanished as soon as they had occurred. Ebony open her eyes as she held her hand out waving it across the air in front of her with all the damage had been. In seconds the building reappeared with the help from the rain. Ebony fell to the ground momentarily as she shifted to her mermaid form. She coiled her large tail under her as she rose like a snake The water from the rain starting to hover around her. A light game from her as the clouds vanished the waters shot out from around her soaking the villagers who stared in Awe and horror.

At first the villagers didn't know what to think till a few children ran up to Ebony and hugged her. She coiled her tail up as she appeared on their level hugging the small children. Children were better than adults they saw wonder even in darkness. Ebony had always loved children that is why she taught them. She laughed began to sing as more children gathered around her admiring her. Soon she was covered in village children. All of them singing together. Her voice was sweet and calm more bell like than anything. One of the children walked to where Tallis was smiling at him. "You have anymore tricks? I like you, you taught the dragon a lessen. Can you turn into a mermaid too?" He child said having watched Ebony with Tallis.

The villagers soon smiled and their fear turned to join as they watched the children with the mermaid. A strange thing happen that day. For the first time villagers walked over to Tallis and shook his hand thanking him for saving them. The villagers finally saw how brave the man was for trying to protect them .They had been wrong about him. Many still wasn't sure what to do with him put they would thank him. Ebony played with with children as a few drew buckets of water and splashed on her, making her laugh and scream slightly from how cold the water was. It was a playful scream happy to have the water on her. After a while the villagers left leaving Ebony and Tallis alone. Ebony smiled as she waved bye to the last child. She looked to the ground where more of her scales had fallen. She kept facing away from Tallis not sure if he could love a monster like her. She wasn't like the other pretty mermaids. The other women let her know about all her flaws. She simply hung her head as she sat there. She was to tired to change back and moving right now just sounded like to much work.

Loki just laughed as he heard her questions. "No I wish I was joking Tallis really will punch the dragons. Tallis is the only person who can be in charge of the dragons. He is the only person that can stand up to them. It's almost like he is like them. He understands animals on a level most people can't. It's his supper power besides his strength. Tallis can take on any beast no matter the size and always come out on top. I have never understood how but I'm happy he does. For some magical reason he can understand how animals think. He can speak their language. It honestly is amazing to watch. " He said as his voice cut off. After a moment he frowned hearing she had lost her sight by a boat at a young age.

"What happen? How did you lose your sight? Did a human hurt you? Was it one of our boats? Where was your parents? Did the the other mermaids try and help you? Why couldn't they heal you? " He said as he found his anger starting to grow. He couldn't believe that someone would dare harm Piper. The thought of a four year old being harmed made him even madder. A innocent child if it was one of their boats he'd hunt down the owner today and make them pay. He was so up set he hadn't noticed the Weather change.

Tallis chuckled, "I thought that was what you liked about me." he said, a little happy about one of his first complete sentences in a while. He then let her guide him to the well and then watched with wonder as she worked. She use to be so afraid of her magic but he always thought it was wonderful. He had tried getting her to use it before and before she was taken she had tried using it a little. But this was on a completely different level from before. Once his wounds were healed he ran a hand down his arms as he made sure that they were all healed.

He then stood back as she worked her magic and actually make it as though the fight never happened. Though when she fell he moved to catch her but she was already getting up herself. He was about to make his way over when he saw the Villagers stare and then the children started to come around her. Smiling, he then sat back, glad that the Villagers were so happy to see that the village was fine now and that Ebony wasn't a monster. She was everything but a monster, he was sure that he was more of the monster, the only man known to be able to take down a dragon with his bare hands and walk away with only a few scratches here and there. That was the monster and so he just sat back and watched as the villagers talked with Ebony.

Though when he heard one of the kid he was surprised and then shook his head, "animals are my only trick, but I am no mermaid." he said and wondered what they would do if they knew what he really was. But for now, he was happy and even surprised as more villagers came over. They started shacking his hand and thanked him one rand over. At first he wasn't sure what to do and just stood there but gradually he slowly started to open up and talk to them. They were all nice people and this was the first time they were ever nice to him. It was nice but he missed having the peace and quiet of being by himself.

Gradually as everyone let the was there with Ebony and he sighed as she peace came back. Looking at her, he saw the pretty black scales on the ground and then realized they were coming from her. Smiling, he walked over to her and quickly picked her up into his arms. "still as beautiful as ever." he said and kissed her head gently, "and I didn't know that you had the most beautiful scales I have ever seen." he said as he started walking away with her. Her tail was beautiful in his eyes and reminded him of the deep ocean. He couldn't' even believe that anyone could think that she was a sea serpent or what ever they were calling her. Carrying her back towards the castle he smiled, "should I take you to your room to relax?"

Piper nodded as she listened to him and wondered how anyone could be like that. "I have never heard of anyone punching a dragon but if there is one thing I know is that Tallis looks wild enough to do that." she said but didn't' mean it bad. He sounded like he was wild to her, someone that wasn't completely human or at least hadn't' grown up around many humans. "I wonder if he could teach others to talk like a animal or at least understand them. I mean I can understand fish but can't' understand others. Maybe he can teach." she said and honestly would love to learn to talk to other creatures. If she could she would love to talk to Silver and maybe even the horses.

She was surprised whens he heard him and then watched as he seemed to turn red, a brighter red then before at least. "well it isn't something I talk about much." she said as she stroked his head gently. "I was 4 at the time and I was curious about the land. I had read a lot of books about the surface and wanted to know more. what I didn't' know was that not all humans liked Mermaids. Around the second or third time I came up to explore someone grabbed me. The next thing I knew I was being taken away, they were poucher's or something and knew that a young mermaid would get them a good price." she said as she remembered the terrifying experience of being tied up and looked at like she was money. "I managed to get free but the moment I tried to jump over board someone grabbed me by my ankle. I came crashing down to earth and I hit my face against the railings. It hurt and the next thing I knew they were beating me, knowing that even if they killed me they could get a good price for my tail once I turned back." she said as she remembered the pain all over her body and face, "Im not sure how but I got int eh water." she said and remembered feeling like she was dying as her face continued to bleed once in the water. "I don't remember much after that but I do remember being in bed for a while and realizing I was blind. I was really sad at first but I gradually got over it." she said as she looked down at him trying to lightened it up a bit.

"that is my sad story," she said as she remembered everything, it was the last thing she remembered seeing. She remembered running towards the railing and jumping, waiting to feel the water on her. Then a cold hand grab her ankle and the railing smashing her face. She had huddled on the ground holding her face and then pain started to appear everywhere on her as they beat her, making it clear that she couldn't' leave. Once they thought she was dead they backed off slightly and with that with the last bit of strength she had pushed herself off the boat. She wasn't sure how she had enough strength for that but she was glad that she did. But she had paid the price, she had lost her sight and if you looked at her closely you could see small slight scars here and there.

Ebony smiled happy to see he hadn't been frighten of her appearance. She smiled happy to back in his arms. After some thought she spoke. " To the pond please. Your speak has gotten better." She said noticing the complete sentence. She jumped from his arms once he was near the pond making a splash. She slowly came up as the Koi made a fuss. She apologized as some of the male Koi took a liking to her. She slowly began to swim around the pond all of the Koi following her mesmerized by her. After a while she rested in front of Tallis as she peered up at him. She placed her thin arms on the marble ledge peering up at Tallis. "I think I'll stay here for a while. " She said as she blushed thinking about what he had said. He still thought she was beautiful even though she wasn't like the other mermaids. "I need rest in the water. My room doesn't have a pool like Pipers. I'm sure the dragons will keep me safe till I leave." She said knowing he had better things to do than watch the pond. For now there was no where she honestly could go. "Don't worry Fang and the pack always watch me. " She said knowing the wolfs where near by if she needed them.

"You were amazing as always. It looks like you made a positive impression on the villagers despite yourself." She said as she smiled happy to see the change. It may not last but at least for today the villagers saw Tallis as a hero and friend. "You should spend time with the children and teach them about the dragons and the other animals. It would help build a bond between you and the villagers. It would also help the animals with more humans understanding them. " She as she through out a idea for Tallis. It would give him the socialization he needed, and help the children learn respect for all living things. It would also make Tallis job easier if others understood how to act around animals instead of fear or anger.

Loki tried to contain his temper as he heard her story. It was story like hers that made him anger. To many people were selfish. They didn't think about any other living being other than themselves. "I'm sorry Piper, I think it's inspiring that you are willing to fight for a treaty when you could have let your anger consume you instead. " He said meaning it. She could have let her anger grow and fester in different forms. Instead she choose to become a ambassador and to promote peace.
"I look forward to the Peace meetings tomorrow. To get the King to sign you need to be direct and firm. He doesn't like anyone who beats around the bush. Present your proposal and be ready to defend your view. If you can let Ebony argue for her. Use her knowledge of the kingdom to show how everyone would benefit from the merge. Believe it or not you have a remarkable lawyer in her. She knows the laws like the back of her hand and can quickly form plans to support a argument. There are also many records in the libraries on Mermaids. The records describe the mutual benefits each reach received by working together here long ago. I suggest you grab Ebony later tonight and let her show you to the library. If anyone knows where all the records are it's her. When you do your presentation don't forget to present what the mermaid trading would bring in revenue for the Kingdom. Also what we could learn from one another. " He said as he tried to think of anything else that could help her tomorrow. "And be yourself don't be afraid to question it's a great thing." He said as he smiled to her.

Tallis nodded when he heard her and started to head towards the pond. Watching as the fish swam around her he felt his jealousy as he noticed all the males kissing up to her. Growling, he tried to calm down and once Ebony came over to him he did. Sitting down he simply shook his head, "not going to leave you." he said as he took her hand into his and gently kissed it. Even if she told him that he could go he was going to stay at her side. It wasn't like the king needed him to do anything. Usually a messenger came to him with a task that usually involved beating up a animal or talking to them. It was the normal routine here.

Smiling when he heard her, he nodded, "it is odd to be liked." he said as he looked at her and then listened to her idea. Would it really be okay to teach kids? "would I be good at that?" he asked since he hadn't spent too much time with kids. "but would be nice." he said as he thought how all the kids were around Ebony. They were nice kids but he knew that at times he could scare them. Being able to take down a dragon was scary and if they knew what he was he wondered if they would run from him. Hopefully they wouldn't. He then reached out and stroked Ebony's cheek he smiled, "you should teach them too, they like you." he said as he looked at her lovingly and knew that everyone would love her. Even if she was different from other mermaids she was still the same Ebony everyone knew.


Piper noticed the red as anger now and she just stroked his cheek, "it is okay, i don't miss my sight all that much and now I can see so there isn't much to be angry about." she said as she smiled at him. Though when she heard his words she smiled, "anger can't fix anything. I know it doesn't." she said as she remembered screaming in her room when she couldn't' see at first. She had wanted to go after the men and make her pay but after a few hours she realized even if she found the men she couldn't regain her sight, she just had to live with it. She then listened to his tips and nodded. All of his points were valid and she hoped that everything went well. She then laughed whens she ears him, "i just hope I don't question too much." she said as she smiled at him, "you know I like questions." she said and then frowned a little bit, "would it be too much to ask for you to be there?" she said softly as she looked down at him. "I would feel better knowing i have more friends around me." she said as she hoped he wouldn't mind.

Ebony smiled as she blushed at his touch, she laughed slightly. "Are you growling at the fish? Honestly the fish here? " She said as she just smiled knowing he had. " Tallis what are the fish going to do? You think I'm going to run off with one of these handsome male Koi? I know my taste aren't the best but please give me some credit I choose you. I do know a good thing when I see it. " She said honestly just picking at him. "Really jealous over fish shouldn't you be jealous over other men instead?" She said honestly wondering why he was jealous of the fish. She gently petted one of the Koi as she peered up at the sky it was starting to get late. The sun was starting to set by now. She had lost track of time being back on land.

She thought about what Tallis said, it brought a smile to her face as she thought about the children. She had always loved children even in the library she had taught the young mermaids what she could. She loved children and wished one day she could have her own. But she doubted that would ever be the case. "What if we work together. That way you could teach and I could help encase any got scared." She said knowing that the King would more than likely approve if she promised to help. Though she wasn't sure if he would or not. She wondered if her library was still here. She had spent countless hours in the royal library getting it organized knowing it inside and out. She needed to go there anyhow before dinner to gather information for Piper. She honestly needed to talk with Piper. The deep thought appeared on her face as she looked complexed about something.

"So much to do so little time." She finally said as she gently let the fish go knowing the fish would be sleeping soon. She closed her eyes as she shifted back to her human from another set of black scales falling off into the water as she did so. She slowly pulled herself from the water obviously weaker now. She really needed to stay in the water and rest but she had a job to do. " Would it be to much trouble for you to help me to library if it is still around? I need to get documents from some of the books for Piper. The meetings will start tomorrow and I have to help her. " She said as she smiled faintly at him.


Loki smiled as he heard her. "Of course I can be there. I wouldn't miss it for the world. Unless there is a attack and then I'm sorry. I'll be on the font line with Tallis. " He said knowing that something like that could happen. Tallis and he didn't have the best of luck when it came to girls and promises. Something always seemed to come up for some reason. At times he really felt someone was out to sabotage him every change they got. "I love that you ask questions." He said as his mood improved thinking about her. He smiled as silver jumped to his stomach making it's home there as it curled up on him. "Well your welcome." He said in a playing tone as he gently stroked the baby dragon. He thought about one of her questions as he remembered he hadn't answered it as of yet.

"Tallis could teach you to speak with dragons. He taught Ebony so I would assume that means he can teach you. Tallis is different from most people. He has a good heart but his execution sometimes isn't the best. He tried to make people understand however he fails most of the time. It's not for a lack of trying on his part. He acts more animal like than human though with Ebony, he changes and becomes human. I can't really explain it other than he is a lion but around Ebony he turns into a lam. He would do anything for her. Please don't think bad of my dear friend. He was so upset losing Ebony he destroyed the old housing. He leveled it with his own hands and went into his shell. He stopped socializing with people and reverted back to an animal. The king ban him from here forcing him to live near the dragons due to how bad he had become. For months he wouldn't even speak to me. He avoided me like the plague. I just recently got him to speak to me but that is persistence for you. With Tallis just be yourself but have compassion and kindness. That gets father with him than anything else. If you ask nicely and treat Silver well I'm sure he'll teach you. Just know it may be a little bumpy with how he can be. " He said trying to figure out how to express how complex Tallis was.

Tallis blushed when he heard her and nodded, "sorry." he said as he looked down at her and glared at the fish slightly. It was clear to see that he was easy to jealousy and it didn't help that he could understand almost every animal on the earth. When he heard her he smirked and chuckled, "fish are hard to get ahold of, if a man tried to take you i would smash him." he said and it was easy to tell he was telling the truth. Nothing was going to take his Ebony away from him. When he saw the one Koi fish he made himself look away before he decided to kill it.

When he heard her he nodded and smiled, "I would like that, teaching with you would be nice." IN truth anything would be nice to do anything with her. As long as he could be at her side he wanted to be with her and do anything. Yet when she got that far away look he knew that she was thinking about the meeting. It was a big deal and he knew it would change a lot of things for them. He wasn't sure how much he could be of help but he wanted to do anything he could to help them.

When she shifted he frowned and wished that she would relax more. Smirking he nodded, "I can help you." he said as he took her into his arms and started walking towards the palace with her. "should I stop by the kitchen and get something to eat?" he asked as he looked down at her. THey use to always grab something to eat before heading to the library. He knew that the cook would love to see her again. He took everyone in like his own child and treat them equally. He was the only one besides Loki and the king that treated him like he was a human here.

Piper smiled when she heard him and chuckled, "I doubt that there is going to be a battle before the treaty." she said as she smiled at him. She was glad that he could be with her, it would make it easier to actually be able to talk to everyone. Though when he heard her she couldn't' help but blush. He was the only one who had ever said that to her, others just thought it was annoying. "thank you, I like how you answer." she said as she tried not to blush but it wouldn't' come off of her face.

When he heard her about Tallis she couldn't' help but smiled, "could I really actually be able to learn to talk dragon." she said and it was clear that she wanted to learn. Though as she listened about Tallis she frowned, "how did he make the king fear him so much? why would he revert back to such a state?" she asked as she looked at him, actually curious as to know a human could do all that. Though when she heard him she smiled and nodded, "well Tallis now has a new friend that will listen to him and be with him. He doesn't deserve to be a outcast like that or be treated like a monster. From what I can see he is a nice quiet person." she said though was still curious as to why he was like a rainbow and how he could make so many people fear him so easily.

Ebony smiled as she heard him. "We have dinner shortly with the king. But for old times sake just something small." She said as she felt funny. She looked down as she was Fang in toe. He wolf let out a yelp as she saw a trail of blood trailing after them. She looked to her arm as she saw the blood coming from her arm. Her arm burned slightly as she shifted in Tallis arm. She gently freed herself from his arms as she began to panic. She didn't want him to see her arm. Fang let out a small growl as he stared at her arm knowing something was wrong. She hit the floor several times as she tried to move away.


She wasn't sure how she had made it back to her room. She hadn't remembered even entering her room as she crawled to her sink. She pulled off the bandage as her wound oozed with her own blood. She wondered what that Knife had been made of. Her wound looked worse as she tried to clean it with the water. She held a cloth against it as she fell to the floor before the sink as she tried to get the bleeding to stop. Fang already by her side as he tried to lick her wound. Her head spun as she wondered what was happening. She turned pale as a slow black color started to move up her arm. It changed the color of her veins black slowly starting to move up her arm.

Fang growled as he let out a howl trying to get help. He could smell the poison and knew she needed help. He looked around as he tried to find the source. His eyes narrowed on the mantel but there was nothing. Something should have been there. Whatever it had been it was covered in the poison. The wolf growled wanting to follow the sent but he knew he couldn't Ebony needed help and he was all she had right now. He kept howling trying to alert anyone who heard.


The hooded figured move through the castle with ease. Their plan had worked the foolish mermaid had hurt herself well,the enchanting knife had helped. She had no choice but to harm herself from it's curse. The poor girl hadn't even known the Knife was her undoing. The figure was happy the mermaids had come it made it easy to put all the dragons asleep in the cave since their guardian wasn't around. Now to take care of the other little mermaid. The figured vanished in a cloud of mist as their plan was set in to motion. Soon they would have what the wanted. Tallis would be theirs soon enough once they got ride of the pathetic mermaid that was holding him back. So would a all out war between the two kingdoms.

Loki smiled as he saw her soft blush loving it. "Your very pretty when you blush like that. " He said meaning it. He gently caressed her face lovingly as he gazed up at her. For the moment all he felt was peace. He gently removed his hand as he realized that he might be a little to forward. She was after all a mermaid and honestly he was being foolish. The king would not want him fraternizing with the beautiful ambassador. Though some reason he couldn't help but find her captivated by Piper. "I am sorry. If you like I will leave you." He said as she slowly sat up. He gently moved silver placing the sleeping beauty on Pipers lap. He stood slowly as he tried to correct his sudden urge to caress her face.

"I will go see if your dinner is ready if you like." He said keeping his back to her so she wouldn't see his own blush. Once it had vanished he slowly turned still very weak as he smiled at her. " Then Tallis is a lucky man to have a friend like you." He said meaning it. Piper was a amazing person.

Tallis nodded as he headed towards the Kitchen and looked forward to a little snack till he felt her jump out of his hands. Looking down, he watched as she basically ran away from him and he stood there stunned, had he done something wrong? Doubt started to course inside of him as he tried to figure out what was exactly happening till he heard a Howl. It wasn't just any howl it was one of help and it was coming from Ebony's room. Dashing out of there he ran straight for her room and kicked down her door in one swift movement.

Seeing Ebony he cursed and knew this very well, a curse. Digging into the pouch on his belt he pulled out one crystal as he pressed it against Ebony's chest. Slowly he started changing, the words seeming more ancient then anything else in the room, it sounded like it shouldn't' even belong in this world. Slowly the darkness in her arms started to be pulled into the gem and once all of it was gone the gem seemed to be pitched black. Pulling it away from her he tossed it to the other side of the room. Glaring at it, he knew what it meant and instinctively let out a growl. Whoever was here knew of his past and what he was, that meant danger was everywhere not just for him but the others.

Looking down a Ebony, he stroked her face as and tried to smile, "everything is going to be okay." yet for once he didn't sound sure, he sounded as if he questioned everything. But he did, he questioned the safety of this kingdom now, the safety of his friends and the safety of the one person he never wanted to lose. Kissing her forehead he pulled her close to him as he stroked her head, "your okay, everything is okay." he said as he tried to convince himself.

When Piper heard him she felt her entire face become read and she jumped as she felt his touch. No one had ever caressed her face or been so gently with her. It was such a nice feeling but all too soon he removed her hand and she just sat there, unsure of what to say. Should she beg him not to leave? what was that feeling inside of her now? Why did she feel so lonely when he pulled away? All of these questions swirled inside and she snapped out of it when she heard the door close.

Shifting Silver out of her lap, she went to go after him but ended up tripping on something. Feeling pain on her foot, she looked down and saw that she had stepped on a small tack and cursed softly. Reaching down she tried to get the blood to stop but it just continued coming. Worry set in as she tried to get it to stop and then a cold feeling ran down her spine as she saw darkness start to cover her foot. This was the first time that she wished she didn't' have sight, that she wanted everything to be dark again. Opening her mouth, she moved to shout but found that her voice was blocked. When Silver saw this she ran over to Piper and let out a screech hoping someone would hear her. The darkness only continued to spread though and was already coving most of her legs with no signs of stopping.

There was nothing but pain it felt like it had found it's way in ever cell of her body. She slowly open her eyes as she watched Tallis. Her eyes closed as she felt it leave. She stared at the crystal solid black as she looked to Tallis seeing him doubt his own words. "W-what happen? I'm sorry I didn't want anyone to know I had been stupid and hurt myself with the knife you had made me. I left it on the fireplace where you had put it. I-I'm sorry please what is going on why are you so upset. The chanting you did it again." She thought as she tried to remember when she hard it. She looked to Tallis honestly worried she had never seen him like this. She felt scared herself as she realized she had no magic. She felt her tie to sea vanish as she felt mortal for once. She kept quiet not wanting to worrier Tallis more. Something had upset him more than her in pain. She sifted her head to the Wolf he growled low at her wanted her tell him. She pleaded with him as the wolf bowed letting her keep her secret.

Loki cursed as he watched the black start move up her leg. He grabbed her as he chanted using his own magic to stop the black from moving. He jumped from her balcony as he soon found Tallis using he true power appearing in a mist behind Tallis. He looked frighten as he held Piper using all of his power to ensure she would make it. "Tallis please." He said as he kept one hand on her leg the other softly holding her to his side. "Shhh it wont be much longer. Think of your happy memories. " He said trying to help her using all of his power to protect her.

Tallis just held her close, glad that she was okay but knew this wasn't going to be the end of this. When he listened to her he simply shook his head and gently stroked her cheek, "not your fault, my fault." he said softly and kissed her forehead. It was his fault, he was here and that meant that now they may have found him. "please tell me if anything else is wrong." he said softly as he looked down at her and hoped nothing else was wrong. But that black magic meant that anything could go wrong and he meant anything. He was just glad that he had seen it happening, if he hadn't gotten here in time the black magic would literally destroy her body and kill her in seconds. It was made to rid the people that were blocking others even if you blocked the magic half way.

Sitting there, he then heard loki and turned to see Piper in the same state. Cursing, eh gently set Ebony onto the ground and pulled out another crystal. Pressing it against her he started to chant as quickly as he could and thankfully it was in time as he watched the crystal turn black. Setting it down next to the other one he slouched slightly, clearly tired. "So sorry, my fault." he said softly as he looked at everyone. Thing were not going to be easy now or anyone. Reaching out, he pulled Ebony close to him for comfort as he tried to figure out something. They were coming for him, he could feel it, but what was he going to do? Did he have to leave? how much danger was everyone in? What was going to happen to them now? He wasn't sure but he knew that none of it was going to be good.

"stay away.." He said softly as he realized that it might be better that way. It had worked the other time for a little while. Maybe if he forgot again and moved they would leave him alone, maybe he wouldn't have to lose others again. The thought was nice yet as he looked down at Ebony he wasn't sure he could do it again. Before there hadn't' been someone like her in his life, did he really want to lose her? But if he stayed it would cause problems for everyone. Closing his eyes, he tried to figure out exactly what he needed to do, what could he do?

Piper had felt like she was blind again, amazed that she could miss her sight already, yet it was worse. Pain rang though her body all the way from her toes to her finger tips. It was amazing that she was even aware of it. But gradually it started to go away, like it was being drawn from her. A second later it felt like nothing and as she opened her eyes she was greeted it the same thing that she had become accustom too till just a little while ago. Darkness. Slowly sitting up, she reached out and found the hand of Loki and smiled as she kept it in hers, knowing she was safe as long as he was close.

"what happened? why can't I see anyone? Is everything okay?" she asked, curiosity and worry coursing through her. What had just happened to her, it had been like someone had been trying to get her out of the way one way or another. Moving closer to Loki, she wanted to make sure that she was safe and from what she could tell was that she felt safe with him and everyone. Yet when she heard Tallis she wondered why he was saying it was his fault. Had he done something or did he let lose a magic of sorts? All she knew was that she wanted answers.

"I can't turn into a mermaid anymore." She whispered finally after piper was ok. "I have lost my magic and my bond with the sea." She said as she was now just a regular mortal. She peered into Tallis eyes as she saw the struggle she felt his pain still as tears welled in her eyes. "Don't go please." Was all she managed to say as she saw how he toiled what to do in his mind.
"Who is after you? Why would they want you ? " She said confused on why someone would go to the lengths. She wrapped her arms around him as she rested against him and closed her eyes trying to find peace just being with him. She held him refusing to let him go even if the wanted her to. She didn't understand what he meant they were after him. He was a good man who would be after him.

Loki held Piper close as he was scared to death he was going to lose her. He let out a breath as he wrapped his arms around her happy she was safe. He had never felt so scared till now. He looked to Tallis as he wondered what was going on. He softly stroked Pipers head lovingly trying to comfort her and himself honestly. "Shhh your safe I promise. " He said as he looked to Ebony. "Ebony made your crystal if she has lost her power you may have lost yours as well." He said as he saw her crystal was gone. "Why would someone take their crystals?" He said as he wondered if that had honestly been the intent the whole time.

Two hooded figures appeared as they held the mermaids crystals. The pair held them out as the crystals attached to them. Their hoods down as Ebony and Piper appeared. The two just laughed evilly they where dressed seductively obviously what the pair would look like once their change was done. "Foolish mermaids didn't see this coming. " The one who looked like Ebony said as she laughed in a evil tone. "Soon we shall appear before them. Lets let them have their fun for now." The figures said vanishing along with the third behind them.

Tallis frowned when he heard her and pulled her close to him, if she didn't have her power that meant she was harmless and powerless. He should leave, it would only cause problems then. Though when he heard her plea he knew he couldn't. HOlding her close, he just closed his eyes as he felt her arms around him, finally able to think clearly. She was here, she was safe. That was all that mattered for now and he could protect her, he would. Kissing her heard, he sighed and figured it was about time to tell everything.

"Im not from here." he said softly as he looked down at her and then to Loki and Piper, "I'm actually from very far away." he said as he thought back to his home, "My people are very few and rare, most people think we are even myths. We thought it was best that way since no one would cause us harm but someone found out. They decided they needed us." he said and remembered them coming, saying they needed them and taking them even tough they didn't' want to go. "At first it wasn't bad, they just wanted to know us and trade with us. But they wanted more and more, gradually they turned us into slaves." he said as he looked down at his Tattoos, "they left marks on our bodies to make it clear who owned us, controlled us, and they treated us how they liked. They took what they needed." he said as he remembered each day they taking what they wanted from him without any worry for him.

"They sold us and everything else they could do to us. You can get a lot from a shifter, especially one you don't kill." he said softly as he thought of everything they made him do. They made him shift into other animals to collect stuff off of him and call other animals to him just to have them slaughtered. "When we were sailing I managed to escape during a storm and landed here. I thought if I forgot everything they might not come or find me, but now they have." he said softly and as he looked down at Ebony you saw it for the first time, fear. Pulling Ebony close he burned his face into her shoulder, "I am so sorry, they want me not you." he said softly.

Piper was glad for loki as he pulled her close and she buried her face into him as she tried to get away from the memories of pain. Hearing Loki she relaxed into him and found herself content for now, as long s he was with her. Though hearing the logic form Loki she sighed and nodded, wishing she hadn't gotten use to seeing so quickly and missing it already. She was about to ask Tallis a question but he was already talking and explaining. Her blind eyes grew wide as she listened and leaned against Loki, finally understand.

"Shifter." she said softly, grabbing everyones attention, "Shifters are thought to be extinct, a race of being that is or can be every animal and can feel everything of others." she then frowned as she remembered hearing there tale, "They were said to been enslaved by a group of people to use in rituals. Since a Shifter can be and call every animal to them, if you have one you can make any ritual, good or bad, happen." She said as she frowned pressing herself closer to Loki, "they were said to have gone extinct from over use in ritual making and killed for progression in ritual. If your saying your one of them then that would make you the rarest and most valued ingredient to every black ritualist group in the world." she said softly understand to a degree how serious this was.

Ebony lessen as she still hugged him. "No one will hurt. " She said as her anger grew. She closed her eyes as she thought about everything. She hadn't noticed the markings forming on her body nor their glow. She suddenly felt stronger not seeing her own magic growing in strength it grew so fast it took physical form in a aura. She slowly open her eyes as she stared at Tallis still loving him everything making sense on why he was so tied to animals. "It explains a lot about you. Now I know why you get Jealous easy." She said as her crystals appeared on her body once again. Piper's own crystal appeared at the markings stopped glowing looked like beautiful tattoos on the pair. Ebony looked to Loki as she wondered what he was talking about. She looked down as she saw the markings. She didn't feel any different he had to be wrong. She looked to Piper and felt better seeing Piper had her own markings. Piper wasn't some monster there fore she wasn't either. She thought hoping it was so though she knew there was something dark inside of her always fighting to be unleashed. She had always fought and won.



Loki stared at Ebony as he heard about the ritual. His head hurt as he saw the day she washed up on the shore. Those markings they looked part of a ritual. He open his eyes as he saw the markings starting to appear again all over her body. He just held Piper closer as he saw a slight magical aura coming from her. He shook his head as he looked again it was still there. He looked to Piper as he wondered if she would gain her sight. Apparently Ebony hadn't lost her magic or whatever she had had. Something wasn't right as he watched her magical power grow.

"T-Tallis.....can they use other beings to track you? " He said as he watched her markings starting to glow faintly. "Ebony....she had strange ritual markings on her when she arrived they are only slightly different from your own. Look they are back. Even the mermaids here couldn't identify her from any known kingdom. What if you two met before and had a bond. Could they have used her? " He said as he moved back slightly not sure what to make of the glowing. "The Mermaid King himself is scared of her the others say. They say she is a guardian. What is a Guardian would that be something the people would want. Something that could control the ocean with a thought. He looked to Piper as he saw markings starting to appear on her as well. " Piper....." He said as he saw her own set of markings starting to glow.

Tallis smiled when he heard her and took comfort in her words. He knew that she would protect him yet when he watched her start to glow he knew something was up. Fear and amazement filled him all at once as he held her close to him. When he saw the tattoos on her skin he got a horrible feeling and it only grew when he heard Loki. He tried thinking back to then but frowned, "back then I was more animal then human, I'm not sure if I met her but if they made a bond with us then they could track me anywhere." he said though when he heard her he frowned and shook his head, "guardians are just as rare as I am, maybe more so." he said as he looked down at Ebony and knew that none of this was good. "we are going to have a war on our hands." he said softly.

Piper listened to everything and was glad that Loki was holding her, if he wasn't he was sure that she would be shaking by now. Frowning, she started to see lights again and a second later she didn't just see color, she saw everything clearly. She saw Ebony, Tallis, and Loki. It first fascinated her to look around at everything but then terror filled her as she saw markings start to appear on her.

Looking up at Loki, panic start swelling inside her, "this isn't right." she whispered as she traced the patters now her arms. They were intricate and she couldn't' help but think back to the ship that had taken her. She then looked over at Tallis, "could it be that the ship that made me blind was the one that you escaped from." she said softly and wondered if all of them could be related in some way, shape, or form. It scared her to think that someone had actually done all of this for some purpose. Moving Closer to Loki she closed her eyes, not wanting to see. "none of this is good, I can feel it. This is going to be really really bad." she whispered as she tried to get comfort from Loki. Yet as much as she wanted it no comfort could take away her panic and worry. All of this seemed like something horrible was about to happen and they were stuck in the middle of it.

Ebony ignored the others as she focused on Tallis. She didn't care what the others thought or felt for now. All she wanted was to be left alone with Tallis and be in peace. She just closed her eyes as she tried to drown the others out. She finally got up as she turned Fang in toe. She had enough of the talking as she headed out the smashed door. She didn't care if anyone came or if she died. She just wanted peace and for the nonsense to stop. No one was after them and no one was a monster. She curled up in the royal library as she cried. Again she was in another royal prison. She laid on the stone floor as Fang tried to comfort her. She closed her eyes as she tried to block out everything. All she wanted was Tallis and now all of this. If she was a monster or whatever then just take her already and kill her. She was tired of feeling and always being trapped. She closed her eyes as she shifted into her mermaid form hidden in the secret room of the library the only way in through a small hole hidden by books.


Loki didn't know what to make of everything that was going on. He lessen to Piper he noticed something wrong with Ebony. She looked depressed. He watched as she just left not a word. He looked to Piper as he held her hoping she wouldn't try and leave either. Loki looked at Tallis as he wondered if he was going to go after Ebony. For some reason he couldn't speak as he sat there. He tried to move but found he couldn't as he could only sit there.

A hooded figure sat on the Thrown the king badly wounded his blood on the floor as he struggled to breath. The man shook his head as he peered at the people through the kings blood making a gazing pool. "Foolish Tallis can you save your heart?" He said as he hide Ebony from the others. He looked to the King as he got up and healed him. " I can't let you go. The others would kill me. You will force the mermaids to leave and you will form a treaty with us. " He said as he vanished in thin air.

Tallis watched Ebony go and wanted to go after her but felt like he was stuck. Everything in hime screamed to move but he couldn't and he knew that they were there. They were watching him, running the show behind the curtain and it was clear that this wasn't the end. Growling, he forced himself to his feet even as his limps were dragged down to the ground making it hard for him to do anything. He then sniffed the air, his nose slowly shifting and turning, twisting till his face started turning. He looked inhuman and monstrous, just like how the villagers thought of him. He then caught it in the air, the familiar sent of Ebony and the sent of the people he hated most.

Slowly his body shifted more, fur and scales coving his body, claws sprouting from his hands as he grew bigger. He then let out a roar that sounded like nothing else on the world. "EBONY." he called out before running around, his nose to the ground as he searched for her sent. Yet as he followed the trail it seemed to disappear after a while and he knew that they were doing everything in there power to stop him. Letting out another roar, he roamed the castle searching, "Where are you, I WILL KILL YOU.' If they were in his way of being happy then he was going to make sure that he killed them. He would kill every last one of them and make them rue the day they had gotten in his path. As he let out another roar you heard it now, the other animals crys joined his, he had a army on his side.

Piper stayed close to him, feeling as though she couldn't' move even if she wanted too as she felt the darkness now. What ever new power she got form Ebony she didn't like it. She felt the mixture of the darkness and evil all around them. What ever it was she didn't 'like it. When she saw Ebony run out of there she wanted to call to her but she couldn't' move, she felt frozen in time. But what scared her was seeing Tallis. For once he looked like a shifter, his body moving to be what he needed as fury was in his eyes. If eh had stayed in that room she was sure that the room had would be destroyed in second. But he ran out of there going after Ebony.

"This is bad." she finally managed to get out as she stuck close to Loki. Feel as though she could finally move she moved as little as she could and looked up at Loki, "what are we going to do? something really bad is going to happen and i don't like it." she said and hoped that Loki could think of a plan. She was good when it came to talking but action wasn't' her strong suit.

Ebony slept on the floor as she was woke by Fang. She looked as she back to her human form. She slowly crawled out of her hiding place. She looked around as she followed Fang who was running after something. She ran as she slammed into something. She softly sat up as she looked at the beast. She froze as she the eyes and smiled. Her markings had vanished by now as she gently hugged Tallis. "I love you Tallis." She said meaning it as she held him. "I'm sorry if I made you worry. I needed a break. I hide in the library. Can we please get some sleep. They are gone now." She said not feeling anymore around.

Loki gasp as he found he could move now. He looked to Piper as he smiled trying to clam her down. " Everything will be ok. Look your markings are vanishing. I think we all need some rest. We should get you to your room." He said trying to act like it was any other day. If he didn't he wasn't sure what he would do. "Let me help you." He said as he held out his hand to her not sure what to make of everything. "I don't know what is going on here. But the haven't killed us and haven't took Tallis so I guess for now we are safe. If we don't keep living then we will never live." he said meaning it.

Tallis searched the castle for Ebony, sure that they had taken her. He wasn't sure how but he was going to find them and destroy them. He hardly even noticed the ruckus he had been causing as the servants saw him. Most ran, fearing for there lives as she saw a monster going through the halls. Finally Tallis had found himself in the library looking through every row of books and under everything he could find. Yet her sent didn't smell any closer then it had before and part of him wondered if it smelled fainter then before. Worry started to fill his anger as he wondered where Ebony was.

When he felt something run into him he turned, ready to strike who was trying to stop him. Yet when his eyes locked with hers the worry and rage that had been inside died in a second. His body shifted, horrible cracking and popping noses coming from him, as his body moved from that of a monsters to that of a humans. Wrapping his arms around her he pulled her close, "Your safe." he whispered as relief filled him. Hearing her he nodded and just held her close to him, afraid to let her go now. Hearing her request he picked her up into his arms and started heading out towards his home near the dragons, "I love you too but please don't scare me like that. I thought… I thought they had taken you." he said softly as he held her close to him.

Piper stuck close to him as she found him moving as well. She wasn't sure what that meant but the darkness that she felt was starting to go away. hearing his words she looked down to find he was right, her markings were starting to disappear, did that mean they were safe? Nodding, she wrapped her arms around his neck, "please don't leave." she whispered, afraid of what may happened if she left him. When he stood up she didn't' hesitate to take his hand and held it close and tight, "what ever is going on Im sure it isn't the end but I feel safer in number.s' She said softly as she looked at him and smiled a little bit.

Eboy just smiled as she curled up to him happy to have him back. She softly stroked him as she worried about him. "Does it hurt." She asked wondering if he was in pain from the shifting. She wrapped her arms around him still. She was happy that he had calmed down, and knew he was right. "I promise to stay with you. I just wanted some peace was all. No more drama. " She said as she knew it sounded rather selfish to admit. " We are never going to be allowed to have a normal life together are we?" She asked wondering if they could after learning about his past. She had never asked and he had never told her. She wondered could shifters be with anyone other than their kind. Could they ever find peace or would they be torn apart. She had so many questions but where to start. She just went quiet as she thought on the questions.

Loki nodded as he gently picked her up. "Lets get to our room then." He said as he walked to her room. The entire kingdom felt and looked as if it was in darkness. He kept her close to him as the entire kingdom down to every person looked like they had just emerged from a massive attack. He shook his head as he walked into her room. He gently shut it behind them as he placed her on the large bed opposite the large pool. He gently tucked her in as he crawled into the bed with her as he just held her. He ignored the voice in the back of his head saying this wasn't right. A respect full man wouldn't climb in ladies bed. At this point he didn't care what the respectful rules called for..

Tallis relaxed as he felt her curl up to him as he walked towards his home. Hear her he thought for a second, "it feels… uncomfortable." he said as he tried to figure out the right words for it, "not painful, more like discomfort." Looking down at her he hoped that his answer was okay and he chuckled a little bit, "Peace is something very hard to come by." he said as he kissed her head just as they entered his cave. It looked small from the outside but as you came in you saw it was rather big. Somehow a kitchen was in there and even a bed but that was about it. Heading over to the bed, he gently placed down Ebony as he sat down next to her.

"Normal life together, not sure of that." he said and wished he could offer her that. "but I will try to give you that in anyway i can." he said as he looked at her and gently stroked her cheek. He would give her anything she wanted, all she had to do was ask. Yet when he saw her face he couldn't' help but chuckle as he pulled her to him, "whats wrong? you have that look." he said as he looked into her eyes and waited to hear her.

Piper wrapped her arms around Lokis neck as he picked her up and buried her face into his shoulder. Everything felt wrong and she didn't want to see it, she honestly missed being blind now. Feeling everything was better in her opinion. Hearing the door shut behind them she relaxed and then felt herself being put down. Looking at Loki she wondered for a second if he was going to leave her as he tucked her in. But a second later he was next to her. She couldn't' stop the blush from coming onto her face but she quickly moved closer to him. She didn't' care if he was suppose to be next to her or not, she felt safer and calmer with him around. Sighing, she looked up at him, "what do you think is going to happen?" she asked softly as she thought about everything that could. Where they just after Tallis or were they after more?

Ebony looked up as she smiled hearing him. She leaned up and kissed him as she let her thoughts go. She was thankful he was alright. She had started the day broken and ended the day in his arms. This would always have to be enough for her. She pulled back the covers as she laid down on the bed pulling him down on top of her as she wrapped the blankets around them. She gently rolled him to his back kissing her passionately. She slowly moved onto of him under the covers as she forgot the events of the day just enjoying him. Even if it was for a moments she wanted to enjoy him again. She moved down his neck with passionate kisses knowing both their hearts needed healing. She slowly whispered to him as she rested against him. "I love you Tallis always."

Loki couldn't help but blush from her burying her face in his shoulder while he had walked her to room. He smiled as he softly caressed her face. "I don't know but for now lets be happy we are alive. We can't live in fear forever Piper. You have a treaty to work on in the morning. The world will still spin regardless of what happens to us. These times are what make us. You are a incredible women and will make the king see things your way." He said as he softly stroking her face as he smiled and kissed her forehead. "You have to much to give up. "He said as he gently played in her hair softly twirling it with his fingers. "Don't let people your fear control you ever. " He said as he tried to reassure her.
