The past couple events i had to really take a step back on what I was able to make because of my thesis paper. But hopefully I can get back to normal amount of production.

haha well mine was online and full time - but yeah - would be hard to do architecture online

xuvrette 12-23-2014 01:29 PM

:< Why is it not hard to do music online? O__O

haha it was :P But this was music education - so I didn't do any performance based stuff online. This was more music theory, music history, assessing music in the classroom, composing etc.

xuvrette 12-23-2014 01:42 PM

They don't require face to face tutorial?

The stuff that was face to face was done of skype/video programs/etc

xuvrette 12-23-2014 02:03 PM

It was good enough that it worked :) XD

xuvrette 12-23-2014 02:05 PM

I would expect at least your audio have to be top end, cause it is the MUSIC course!~ it is all about hearing~

Well, like I said, it wasn't a performance based program - so that didn't matter too much. Was more about the discussions/analyzing/etc

xuvrette 12-23-2014 02:09 PM

Analyzing? O__O
What are you analyzing? Why make it so scientific? T__T
By the way, how long is your thesis? I am imagining Music's thesis is a paper filled with just music notes. 8)

My thesis was 60 pages long. And it was on what method is the best for teaching sight singing in the classroom and is it appropriate to start in the elementary school age.

xuvrette 12-23-2014 02:16 PM

aww? ... that... does sound quite scientific...
Sight singing? Any relation to sight reading? I am still frustrated over the fact that I can't master piano sight reading without much practice. XD yes, the catch is, without much practice. haha.

haha yeah - it's sight reading - but for singing. :P

And practice makes perfect :D

xuvrette 12-23-2014 02:20 PM

I believe that, but lazy me is obviously looking for shortcut!
and since I master my drawing skill in okay practice, I don't get why it takes so long for me to master sight reading. D:
then, my aunt said to me, drawing is so much easier to learn, I stared back. Really?

LOL XDD I think they are both hard in their own ways.

xuvrette 12-23-2014 02:42 PM

Not sure... but it has some logic in it. Since I master it better than the music. XD
I think human are just dominantly visual dependant.

I think I'm better at music than art though!

xuvrette 12-23-2014 02:46 PM

:< Still think people is visual dominant, other than the blind ones.

Does your master programme include composing music? lyric?

We did compose for a lot of classes for my program - but didn't write my own lyrics - that was not a requirement :P
