SuperZombiePotatoe 01-02-2015 05:08 PM

You know... "I smite thee, Mortal!"

zigbigadorlube 01-02-2015 05:10 PM

I've never heard that word used in that reference...

xuvrette 01-02-2015 05:11 PM

... is that the past tense for smite? XD smote. XD

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-02-2015 05:11 PM

How have you heard that word used??

salvete 01-02-2015 05:12 PM

It's not smitten? lol. I guess smitten is the adjective.

zigbigadorlube 01-02-2015 05:13 PM

He smote him, or smote upon the rocks or things like that. Usually in cases when people die.

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-02-2015 05:14 PM

Not smitten. Smitten is to be... in love with someone, yes?

zigbigadorlube 01-02-2015 05:15 PM

Yeah, smitten is something different. Smote is the past tense. Present tense is smite.

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-02-2015 05:16 PM

Yup, that's how I know it.

xuvrette 01-02-2015 05:22 PM

lol what? Smitten is in love?

zigbigadorlube 01-02-2015 05:22 PM

Yep. I wonder what the origin of that word is...

xuvrette 01-02-2015 05:25 PM

Smid?

zigbigadorlube 01-02-2015 05:25 PM

Smitten is an adjective. It has no past tense.

salvete 01-02-2015 05:27 PM

I'm loving this conversation ^_^

I want to smite someone.
I smote someone.
I am smitten with someone.

linapoo 01-02-2015 05:27 PM

ohhh smite. XD.. i always use it in present tense haha

im smitten with all yall

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-02-2015 05:28 PM

It comes from smite. that's what the dictionary say, at least.
