Rurik hissed and slammed his door. Why was she even saying that? She was his servant and it didn't matter what she thought. He couldn't do anything about this, why didn't she understand and just accept it? "Stupid and immature brat." he muttered and got ready for bed. He only opened the door to call over Sylph and closed it when the Gryphon flew into the room and curled up on the bed. Sighing softly, Rurik turned off the lights and crawled into bed to sleep.

Shiva sighed as she finally calmed and went back to work trying to think of a way she could tell him what she needed to without him snapping at her right away. As she worked she noticed that Rurik was nowhere to be seen and wondered where he had went, was he not feeling well? it wasn't even noon yet he wasn't in bed was he? She started to worry a little but then just focused on her work knowing that he was upset with her so she figured she would leave him be for now.

Rurik lay in bed and stared at the ceiling. He knew it was too early to sleep but he was going to need all the energy for when Trivia came over. This was his house though so he could be himself, still, he hoped he didn't have to yell at her. He was going to have to keep Shiva away from Trivia, he wasn't sure that making them meet would be a good idea. What if Trivia hated Shiva? What would he do then?

Syrma noticed that Shiva was much more quiet then usual as they worked and frowned worriedly. "Shiva? Are you okay? You don't look so good." she pointed out and Shiva tried to smile at her but it failed and she shook her head. "I made master upset... maybe... i should have never told him how I felt to begin with... I worry... that he just told me what I wanted to hear and just wants to leave it at that..." She said closing her eyes a bit as she took a deep breath before going back to work knowing no one else would hear them talking since they were the only ones working in one area. "I'm sure that's not the case... Prince Rurik doesn't seem like the type to sugar coat anything, maybe you should just talk to him while you two are out or something? That way he won't be upset about you not working, or maybe when he feeds you could talk to him." she offered and Shiva nodded but continued to think as she worked trying to think out exactly what she wanted to say.

Rurik wasn't going to let anyone mistreat Shiva, they were friends after all and even if they weren't he still wouldn't allow anyone to be mean to Shiva. "I wonder...does Trivia know of my reputation?" Rurik asked himself. "I'm guessing she doesn't since she said I didn't look like a loud person. Well when she comes to visit she will find out that she's wrong. Won't she Sylph?" he said and gently pet Sylph who yawned.

Shiva sighed as she continued to work and noticed that it was starting to get late already and knew that dinner would be started on soon. As she worked she started to worry a bit again, she needed to explain to Rurik why she didn't want him with Triva... just telling him that she didn't like he wasn't a good point... but might he think that she was making it up if she told him what she could feel from the woman? Did it make her sound paranoid that she thought the woman was evil and up to no good?

"You're probably hungry aren't you?" Rurik asked and got out of bed then picked up Sylph and left down to the kitchen where he had Jamil fix something up for Sylph while he himself left to the dining room and sat at the table. His parents were already seated and waiting for dinner to be served. "Hello Rurik, who called?" asked his father. "It was just Tivia asking if she could visit in a few days. Of course I said yes, I just hope nothing bad happens." Rurik answered. "Well dear, just behave and nothing bad should happen." Irsa said softly.

Syrma decided to eat with Shiva today so once dinner was served she went with Shiva over to the servants dining area and spoke with her as they ate but Shiva's mood didn't lighten up too much even though she was happy to talk to her friend... she didn't know why she felt the way she did but all she wanted was to fix things with Rurik and have him understand why she was upset

"I will do my best, but if she upsets me in anyway then she will know who I really am and I don't want any of you to try and stop me okay? Trivia needs to know who she's dealing with. I'm not going to become her slave of any sort no. As long as she gives me my space and doesn't upset me we should be fine." Rurik explained as they all continued to eat dinner.

It felt like dinner came and went quickly as soon Shiva and Syrma were back to work and Syrma was keeping a close eye on her friend noticing more and more how she hadn't looked so well ever since her and Rurik got back from Triva's kingdom, but it didn't seem like she was injured or anything... just like she wasn't as happy as she usually was... not as up beat.

The moment dinner was over, Rurik left with Sylph to his room where he got dressed and climbed into bed. "Goodnight Sylph." he muttered and turned off the light as he buried his face in his pillow and tried to sleep. Sylph easily curled up beside Rurik and easily fell to sleep beside him.

Shiva sighed once dinner was over and finished up her work for the night before heading to bed but couldn't really sleep. She decided that she needed to apologize and ask him once and for all what he thought of her... then should would drop it... but if he said that he liked her like she liked him... she would have to ask why he would want to keep their feelings a secret... he was the prince after all, why should he have to listen to who others said he could or couldn't like? He didn't really listen about other things after all

The following morning, Rurik had slept in rather late but was woken up when Sylph cried out. "Oh, sorry we can go eat now." he said tiredly and hopped out of bed before getting dressed and opened his door to leave with Sylph. He obviously missed breakfast, but Jamil was nice enough to make him some breakfast and got Sylph some food too so that only Sylph and Rurik were eating at the table.

Shiva awoke at her normal time and was now cleaning the servant dining hall before making her way to the main dining hall to see if anything else needed to be done. She noticed Rurik and thought about leaving but walked in instead. "Good morning Master... are you okay?" she asked softly rather worried since he had over slept

Rurik ate his food and sipped his wine. He didn't like to be near water ever since the incident so he didn't like drinking it either unless they had no wine. Hearing Shiva, he nodded and continued eating. When he was done, he let out a soft sigh and looked at her. "I'm fine Shiva. The real question is, are you okay Shiva?." Rurik asked and gently pet Sylph when he had finished his food too.

"I'm okay Master... I'm... very sorry for how I acted before... how I didn't even explain myself..." Shiva said softly then looked down a little her ears pulling down even though he was petting her and kinda hoped he would let her tell him what was really bothering her but if he didn't then she would leave it at that and not bother him about it

"Shiva, can you tell me what is really bothering you?" Rurik asked as he stood and took the dishes where a servant began to was them. Rurik ned for both Sylph and Shiva to follow him up to his room. "We will go out to the garden after I talk with Shiva Sylph, don't worry." he said and opened his door for them before closing it behind him.

Shiva looked up to Rurik and nodded softly with soft eyes before fallowing him. She then sighed as she thought of the best way to phrase what she was about to say once they were alone. "When we were in Princess Triva's kingdom... I just felt something so unsettling there... when i saw her look at you... it kinda felt like she was thinking... or plotting something more like it... i know that probably sounds silly but for a short time when we were there my powers stopped working... you paid attention to me and spoke to me but I just felt weaker... it was the same when we came home too... and every time i would feel tired or weak when i was around the princess she gave me such chilling looks that just made me feel worse.... there's just... something not right about her Master and honestly and truly I want to make sure you are safe above all else." she explained hoping he wouldn't get upset at her again but felt her body tensing a little as she waited for him to yell at her.

Rurik listened and raised an eyebrow at what she was saying. "So you're telling me that you think Trivia is plotting something against me?" he asked and frowned slightly. "Well I have no solid proof of this Shiva, but you wouldn't lie to me, I don't think so anyway. Still, you could just be saying this since you don't want me to be with other girls." Rurik started and thought for a bit. "Though there's always a chance you're right. But if she really was plotting something, why would she be so willing to visit the castle and later marry me? I do not understand." Rurik explained and sat at the edge of his bed. "Are you positive that you're not lying to me Shiva?" he asked her.

"Master you know I can't lie to you, it's just not possible... you see right through me" Shiva said with a soft frown. "Even if I don't like the idea of sharing you... of not being able to be so close to you... I... I would never do anything to hurt you... never do anything on purpose to upset you... while I may not understand it, if marrying someone makes you happy or is what you want they I would never try to stand in your way.... but.... I can't... I can't let anyone hurt you again, i would rather die then to see you suffer again." she explained but at the end seemed very serious, no matter what happened to her if she saw that someone was trying to hurt him she would stop them. When she heard his comment she thought then frowned. "I had heard of several kingdoms where the prince or princess was married off and right after the wedding they became deathly ill and either die or find out that their spouse was trying to kill them just so they could stay in the kingdom and take it over later on." she pointed out softly frowning a little at the thought

Rurik smirked at the last comment Shiva said. "You don't say." he started and pet her gently. "No one is going to die. With the information you have given me, I'm going to have some fun with this. I won't tell her you told me, but I will confront her. Trust me, I don't want to marry her, I don't even like her. She makes my skin crawl, and if she just wants to keep my kingdom, she has another thing coming because this is my kingdom and I don't plan to give it to someone I don't even care for." Rurik explained easily.

Shiva calmed as he pet her and let herself relax. "Master... I still don't quite understand why you would want to spend time with her or try to find someone when you don't want to get married... I mean... you are the prince after all.... can't you do whatever you want?" she asked curiously still seeming confused and unsure.

"Well yes and no." Rurik started. "I can do whatever I want because I'm the prince yes, but my parents have higher power than I do. They want me to be married and that means I have to marry royalty, it's a rule that I as the prince must follow even if I don't want to." he explained and frowned slightly. "Everyone thinks being royalty is great, but sometimes it's not so great. I love being a prince don't get me wrong. I just wish I was able to made whoever I wanted." he explained sadly.

"I thought that royals could marry within the high ranks of society as well?" Shiva asked curiously but then frowned a little to herself looking down some. "Master... i know I asked you a few times before... but I want to know what you honestly think no mater what... what do you see me as?" she asked softly really wanting to know what he thought no matter what that was.

"Well yes, I can marry anyone of high class. My parents want me to marry a princess. It would bring the two kingdoms together so that if there ever is a war, we'll have a better chance of winning." Rurik explained, but her next question caught him off guard causing him to blush. "W-well... I think of you as a great servant, a loyal friend.." he started and gently lifted her chin so that she was looking at him. "I care about you very much Shiva, and I didn't think I would ever care about a servant, especially not the way I care about you." he answered while blushing brightly.
