Favorite types of levels in video games?
So I'm watching a playthrough of Super Mario Galaxy, and the player is doing the Sweet Sweet Galaxy, and it posed a question to me that I thought I should ask the Menewshan community: what types of levels do you absolutely love in video games, as far as theme?
For me, my favorite themes are candy and toy levels. If your game has candy and toys in it, I'm bound to be a happy camper. [drool] |
I like spoopy haunted levels full of ghosties. [twisted]
... I don't like ice and water levels. D: |
I love forest and desert areas in games. I mean, I do not hate any(even water levels), but I just enjoy a game with a lush forest or a desert that feels like you could get lost in. The Role-player in me enjoys the imagery of those most of all.

I love Super Mario Galaxy!!!
Like Captain Howdy, I dislike the water levels, especially when there is no method of obtaining air while underwater. Many of the old Sonic games had bubbles forming underwater, from which the characters could gulp down some air and survive for longer. That was great, although the underwater drowning music was a little scary back in the day. |
I like rummaging around in dungeons and sewers. But hate anything to do with water levels and mages. Mages can go eat their hats.

Oh gosh, I hate water levels and mages, also! Though, I'm not a fan of sewer levels. That one in Batman: Arkham Asylum... ;-;
