"No, It is the lack of moving around that most farm bred animals are forced to endure. The exercise and movements animals do in the wild has a drastic effect on the quality of the meat."

"All I required was the potions I bought from the Alchemist. I need nothing else, so I may as well follow you." I haven't done anything since I left, My preparations were simple as it was my plan from yesterday. She looked around, the chaos of the Waterdeep Market was as it was the day before. "How much are you planning to buy?" She asked curiously.

“well my first stop is at the silver smith, they are the ones that are holding my money for me. I trust them more then I trust the banks you just recently had sprouting up. In my world all we have are banks but your banks and how they are run are so new I am not sure I can trust them, also the silver smiths give me a little bit of money for investing in them.” silver seemed to flow into his eyes as he spoke. “the banks in my world do that but yours do not. I will wait till I go home or your banks have the idea that it will help keep in them if they offer that.” He looked up at the sky to see what the weather was like.

“after that I plan on making a stop at a friends booth to pick up some leather for the bandoliers that I was telling you about. Better to have them and be able to sell them in our travels then not have them and want them.”

"Most silversmiths look upon it as an investment in their business, that you are helping keep them alive. Or so I have heard. I couldn't truly say I know due to me living on only what I needed." Only for the last week at least. "I never have had to worry about money, for it was never much of an issue. Yesterday was the first time I truly had concern about what I had for currency, but with small jobs that can easily be completed that shall not be an issue." She noticed his glance up to the sky, taking a deep breath. "I hope it does not rain today. The sky looks beautiful right now. I'm sure we'll know more when we stop to pick up the leather you are wanting to purchase."

“that is how the banks sometimes see it in my world. Though I think a run on the banks would do them good once in a while.” Smiling he stopped in front of a silver smith, the sign was a silver rose. “and here we are. Home of my account, granted I don’t know how much he has of my money now. I did not ask for him to keep me up to date what my seed money has become.” Walking into the shop he looked around the room. All along the walls were tiny pieces of jewelry. Each one a tiny work of art. “well he had gotten on quite well since last I was in.”

“is that you Alex?” stepping out from behind a door the man was nether old or young. In his hands was a sliver rose with a tiny green gem on it petal. His face was a everyman’s face, one that you might see but would not be able to describe later. The only thing that stood out was his eyes. Where most had iris’s and pupils he only had white. Stepping forward he touched his hand to the wall and walked towards them.

“yes its me, I am in need of some cash.” The owner of the Silver Rose shook his head then stopped suddenly as he realized there was someone else with Alex. Reaching out Alex took the hand that the man held out. “she is a friend so don’t worry, how much is in the bank?” the man relaxed as he smiled.

“how much are you wanting, Alex? You have a lot more here than you would think.” Turning to where he guessed she was he smiled. “I am Lupa Greenwood, Alex here saw my worth when no one else would. He funded my little shop here.”

She stood by and listened while the two talked, taking in the decor of the location. If the way Alex talked was correct, then he was very well off then what he had been before. She stepped forward and offered a smile when he introduce himself. "I am Alexandria Fairbreeze. Alex has offered his aid to me, and we shall be taking a few quests together. It is a pleasure to meet a friend of his." She didn't want to say anything out of place, and was keeping herself in check. So many people he has befriended... and so many people that lie in danger of what That Woman wishes to do. My... no Our road is a troubled one, and if he still wishes to come with me I will be forced to reveal my secret to him.

“it is nice to meet you miss Fairbreeze, I would not say I am completely a friend but he saved me when I needed it. As it seems he is doing for you too.” He smiled at her even though he could not see her. “I hope he brings just as much luck to you as he did to me.”

“I did not do much more then others were doing, I just picked you.” Alex said not really thinking about how the blind man had been looked over because he was blind. Alex had been raised not to see the disability as being something to stop some one but as something that makes that person unique. What he did not see was that the people of this world did not see the blind as being part of the community but as a drain on the community. That they could not do anything even though they had a mind and skills. Many of those became beggars’ and tried to eek out a living.

“ you might not see yourself as doing more but you did.” Walking back into the back room he quickly returned with a small pouch. “I have a special order so you will need to leave but this is just all of the interest you have from the seed money. Come back if you really need the rest.” Gently pushing them out of the shop he quickly closed the door behind them. Alex looked a bit confused as he weighted the pouch.

"You have given him hope when no one else would even give it to him. His disability... his lack of sight... People would rather throw someone like him out into the wilderness to die then have them within their walls. If you were of this world, You'd certainly be graced with Torm's or Bahamut's blessing as you traveled." She smiled. If he was of this world, many things would go in his favor. He seems to put others first before his own needs. He did so to his benefit, but that doesn't make him bad.

Opening the pouch Alex’s eyes seemed to grow a few sizes bigger as they spun with gold and teal. “eather he just gave me way to much or…” he let the rest just hang in mid air as he gulped. How could he have three gold pieces and a few things that looked like gems in there. There was no way that he had made all of this off the few silver’s he had invested in Lupa’s business.

Then what she said sunk in furrowing his brows he looked at her his eyes going a red orange. “how can they just toss a man like that aside? He had such beautiful pieces when I found him in the market with his cloth out with a few small carved stones on it.” Dropping the pouch into a pocket he looked back at the people around him and Lupa’s shop. “your telling me that had I not given him that investment he never would have lived out that year?” Lupa had been sick when he had seen him but he never thought about how much that little investment had been. It was then he noticed the small hand written sign in the window of the shop, ‘jeweler to the Lords of Waterdeep.’ He really had gone up in the world.

"If you hadn't, No one else would of. He very may of been. Society... isn't always pretty. He could of gotten lucky and hit his break but you gave him his life. This world needs more people who would be willing to look out for others. You'll almost only see Paladins and Clerics on such a journey or generosity." She looked to the sky, happy to see the sky was clear. No clouds that would bring rain upon them. "But that is human nature... is it not. We do what we can however, and I will do what I can."

Alex just staired at her in surprise. How could humanity be that way here when he never saw the diabled in his world treated as such. Was there something about the way his world had so many people that he never saw the disabled or that they were better taken care of because of it? Sighing he knew he would have to find out some other time for now this was not the place to try to think of such things. “well now that I seem to have more then I was expecting I think I might be able to get one of those bags.” Thinking over what colors of gems he had seen he would not be surprised if he could not afford one of the better ones on the market. “now it is off to the market to see what I can get for what he gave me.”

In the end he was able to get a midrange bag of holding. It was not as large as hers was but it would hold what he wanted to be held. After going back and quickly getting the last of the books he really wanted to take he seemed content with what he had. Once he had all that done he smiled at her and waved his hand towards the north gate. “shall we be off?”

She simply nodded when he made the suggestion to head to the market. She was glad that his investment paid off and he got such a good reward for it. Gods smiled upon you. As they were in the market she let him buy and browse, keeping her eyes on the people around them. The market was busier then it had been the day before now, more people crowding the area causing her to stay a little more on guard. As soon as he finished she turned to him, "Let us, We have a bit of traveling to do." She said with a smile before starting their trek to the gate. Why is hiding who I am tearing me apart... Are you telling me to say something? Is it the right choice?

As they walked towards the gate Alex watched Alexandria his eyes swirling a greenish blue that was not completely teal. Something about her body language said that she was debating something but he really could not tell what she might be trying to reach a decision on. After a few moments he shrugged and looked ahead as the crowds started to thin a bit as they got closer to the gate. There were people coming in and going out but it was early enough that most of those that had wanted to come in had already gotten in and those that would be leaving on trips were not yet going. Shifting his pack on his shoulder he smiled.

He had always liked traveling but with his original home there had be little to no new places to travel. There was nothing to see that had not already been seen. And with his age he had seen most of the world that could be seen without having friends in high places or buckets full of money. Did he really want to go back to that Earth and deal with the overcrowding and stink? Yes it was dangers here, more so in some ways then it was on earth, but it was more open and free here. A man could become a ruler if he wanted of a county with just a bit of hard work and the right friends. His mind seemed to tumble around these thoughts as they walked through the gate into the country side.

Alexandria stayed silent as they walked, her mind continuously racked by thoughts of what to do. As they passed by the last major crowd she glanced over at him to see him in thought as well. Is a similar problem to what I am having. She wasn't sure what his overall problems were that he was thinking about. Was she just projecting her own mental run around on him? It's always possible. She needed to wait til the right moment to ask a question. It was one that she was curious about to take her mind off things. "I have been curious about something. What would you expect your first encounter with a Dragon will be like? I am just curious because of how eager you seem to be over it."

Looking over at Alexandria when she spoke Alex smiled and looked out to the road ahead of them. “I really have not thought about that. I think it has been such a unlikely thing to happen till now that I have not gotten much thought put into it.” Stretching his arms he smiled at the sun and then looked back at her. “what do you think it will be like? Do you think they will think I am there to take their hoard if they see me as a dragon?”

"It would depend on the brood and more specifically who you met. Dragons are no different from humans. They have their own personalities. Red dragons are normally always protective of their hoard and territory while many of the others care more of territory alone. But I was just curious as to your thoughts from what I have told you. People always have different opinions on what they believe a dragon is like." Alexandria hadn't heard really anyone give their honest thoughts on the matter. They did worry when they found out that she was a follower of Bahamut. Even if she followed him as a true good being.

“If they are just like humans then I will only worry about upsetting one because our personalities don’t work.” Smiling he walked along a bit more before looking at her again. “the few dragons of my breed that I have met have been just like humans, their color dose not determine what they act like. So even if the dragons here are known to be a certain nature with each color I will not expect it of them.” his eyes swirled slowly as he looked about them. Would they be running into anything soon? He sniffed the air and sighed. They were downwind of anything that might be coming at them in the next hour and he could not smell anything other than a few small animals and the birds. There had been a deer nearby not too long ago but it smelled like it had moved off to the east. “are you hoping for anything?”

"For anything in what regard?" Alexandria asked to clarify the question as she took a look around them. Plenty of places to hide. And I am not sure how well this will all go. That man at the bazaar... Why do I feel like I know him." That thought was going to drive her insane, she had to keep up with getting her mind off it while keeping her guard up at all times. Something was going to happen, she knew it. When was the question she couldn't answer but needed to among all else.
