Oh that's pretty cool! I'll have to see if I can find it =D

And ah, I see. I've done that before.

(I don't mind about the mule ^.^)

If you want, I could give you the link to it. =) Not going to just dump it here without you asking, though, as that would feel a bit spammy. XD

*poppin' in to say hiya*

Wyllow 02-09-2015 02:24 AM

Oh feel free to link it, I love to look at art. Its crazy to me how people can make great things out of thin air (of course there are tools involved, but figuratively speaking).

Heya hummy~ =D

I sort of disappeared yesterday cause I started watching a show on Dramafever and passed out haha. It's been snowing quite a lot here, makes me sleepy.

Mule of Silenia 02-09-2015 02:29 AM

Well, here you have the link. =) Current thread's pretty young so there's only one piece of art I've actually finished so far--linked from the second post--but I have a few others in progress.

Ah, we haven't had all that much snow here in the Netherlands. Couple of days with some fair snow (which, here, translates to anything above an inch or two that hasn't melted in an hour ><), couple of nights with snowfall that had already mostly melted by 9am.

Wyllow 02-09-2015 02:38 AM

Thanks =D The one piece that you do have is really nice. I love how the eyes pop out and the blending of the skin. I'm such a sucker for two tone eyes, too =P

Oh you are lucky. So far I've had to take two vacations days off work. We had a blizzard with about 2 or 3 feet of snow, and then another foot of snow, so it's been sticking around and making the roads super narrow D= I love how it looks when it first comes down though, so pretty.

Silenia 02-09-2015 02:43 AM

The two-tone wasn't anything I thought up, though--that simply was part of the request. XD Still, thanks for the compliment. <3 Took a lot of work especially because I lack a tablet at the moment and thus have to draw with a (laggy) mouse.

Even the smaller amounts of snow we've had here can be quite pesky, though, especially if you're delivering newspapers on bicycle and--depending on the road you're dealing with--half-melted slushie-like ice-drab, streets closely resembling an ice-rink due to cars pressing the snow into ice, half-melted-then-frozen-up-into-icicle-like-miniature-hills and/or a mixture of the above.

Wyllow 02-09-2015 03:04 AM

Of course, the eyes are still really nice, even if they were both the same color =]

Ah, I can see that. Over here we salt the roads so much that even when they are dry they are completely white. Ruins clothes, cars, the environment...I think it's gotten a it out of control. I could definitely go on a mini rant about it haha. The plus side is no ice, though.

(Changing my post color because I think it will be easier in general for others to read xD )

Silenia 02-09-2015 03:10 AM

Yes, that colour is slightly easier to read and matches your avatar better to boot.

Here... I'm glad if the three main roads of this town are salted, tbh--and even then, usually they use too little salt and thus you get that slushie-like drab I mentioned above.

From the previous six winters, we've had three with somewhat significant snowfall. Each of these three, the municipality had bought too little road salt. Since the second time, it's basically been "well, we'll just do the main roads, then".

As to the eyes, thank you!

Wyllow 02-10-2015 02:21 AM

All the better! haha

Aw slush is never very nice...I would prefer snow to that mucky mess. I don't think they really salt or plow the back roads around here much, more like highways and main roads. The streets to get into my neighborhood, and my street, it's lucky if we even have one lane to drive down...the whole way you pretty much have to be like "please be no car coming the other way, please." Very much gets the adrenaline going 0.o
