zigbigadorlube 04-28-2015 12:31 PM

I wish I could say I had a photo of it but I don't. Still, it's a good memory. ^_^

@ zigbigadorlube: Maybe we should've tried the stroller route :D But we'd talked about introducing Toothless to the outside world for ages after we got him, but we somehow never got around to it, aside from that one attempt with the harness. But then it got too late, and like I said in an earlier post, we decided not to worry about it after the vet advised us to keep him inside, as it was likely he'd probably get sicker a lot faster due to not being introduced to the outside world at an early age.
And he's happy, and quite healthy, so it turned out to be a pretty good decision. And I'm fairly confident he's going to live to quite a good age. My mum's cat lived to 15 and a half because she too was an indoor cat, so Toothless will probably do the same :D

They actually make real pet strollers these days. It's kind of funny really...

Cora 04-28-2015 03:28 PM

they make real pet strollers? That is relatively funny. But I guess it goes to say sometimes kids are the most creative.

zigbigadorlube 04-28-2015 06:31 PM

Of course! There are all kinds of models too.

Those buggies look pretty awesome. I might have to show my ex at some point. [:P]

zigbigadorlube 04-28-2015 06:43 PM

I could really use the suitcase like one for when I take my kitty to the vet.

llonka 04-28-2015 06:54 PM

When I was working at walmart, a lady totally brought in her dogs in a stroller. I doubt they were those helper pet kind. haha.

zigbigadorlube 04-28-2015 07:39 PM

A lot of people do that in NYC and on Long Island. It always sort of pissed me off to be honest but that's because I grew up in an area where animals weren't permitted in businesses unless they were seeing eye or aid dogs.

Thank you for bringing that first picture into my life

zigbigadorlube 04-29-2015 01:28 AM

Do you have a kitty Biggles?

EvilPagemistress 04-29-2015 12:20 PM

Ages ago, my ex and I saw a carrier with mesh coverings on the side, and we thought it'd be perfect for Toothless whenever we took him into the hospital, as opposed to the big ugly plastic thing we were using at the time. I'll tell you what, that mesh carrier thing looked ten times better, but we never got around to getting it, and then I guess we forgot about it ^^; But those pet strollers look AWESOME!

zigbigadorlube 04-29-2015 12:37 PM

I wish I had a better carrier for my kitty but they are so expensive! Right now she has this foldable plastic box thing the vet gave us. We really only use it once a year though so it's not a huge deal.

EvilPagemistress 04-29-2015 12:55 PM

Right now we've only got two carriers, and they're pretty old and beat up. One doesn't even have working wheels anymore, which sucks. I think we might have an additional cardboard carrier from ages ago, so moving our cats (of which we have three at the moment), shouldn't be much of an issue when we eventually move from our current location :)

Cora 04-29-2015 01:04 PM

I have a really old pet carrier that never had wheels. Its the hand held carry type.

zigbigadorlube 04-29-2015 01:08 PM

I would love to have something with wheels, or even a shoulder strap. My kitty is tiny but she gets heavy carrying her through the subway.

EvilPagemistress 04-29-2015 01:26 PM

I know what you mean. One of our carriers had wheels on it, but one of the wheels fell off, so whenever we needed to take Toothless into the hospital, we tied the carrier to the shell of a trolley I'd bought a while back, and we used that to transport him. It was a bit of a pain getting him on and off trams, but we managed it. Just! And Toothless is now quite a big cat, so getting him in to hospital usually requires getting a taxi there now.

He will be pleased to know a kitteh is named after him. Hopefully, he will not eat said kitteh.

zigbigadorlube 04-29-2015 04:01 PM

I've been thinking about that connection, lol!

I hate taking the taxi but it's true that it's an option.

OMG Clockie! *Glomps* I love your new avi! Also I'm ROFLing at the fact that your one kitty is sleeping with it's head literally up the butt of the other kitty. XD

ClockReject 04-29-2015 05:05 PM

Hiya Zig, thanks! that picture got better with this one:
