I hope Eva the vampire has some wonderful job interviews coming in her future

Zephi 07-26-2018 01:31 AM

Ava is back?

...

AVA IS BACK!

Ava The Vampire 07-26-2018 01:37 AM

I'm back...

But I've been so busy, I've hardly had any time to pay attention to my thread! [cry]
I had like five auditions this week, doctor's appointment, booked parts for two different films within two weeks AND I've been exercising every day except weekends... It's been so busy!

I will try to post here as much as I can!

I actually just got home from filming a scene, so I have down time now...

Zephi 07-26-2018 01:47 AM

Whoa. Amazing-super-star Ava. You're putting me to shame but I will cheer for you because I definitely want you to succeed in all you do <3 *breaks out the pompoms* okay it has been a while so don't sue me if this looks bad

*performs intense cheer routine with flips and splits ending with fireworks in the background spelling out "GO AVA"*

*Sweats holding the pose*

You can do it~.

hummy 07-26-2018 07:38 AM

SIPERSTAR AVA //<3

Zephi 07-26-2018 11:43 AM

I like that. Yes, change your Avi's name to "Superstar Ava" hehe

Ava The Vampire 07-26-2018 08:49 PM

You guys are most kind! :D
Thanks! I am having so much fun here in Cali, I'm glad I moved.

My only complaint is that it's so much harder to find a care team (for mental health) here. :(

Zephi 07-26-2018 09:09 PM

Is it really? That's a bit disappointing. I had imagined that California would be well equipped. Maybe it's just what I expect of cali, or maybe the available teams are just not great, or you know it *is* hard to find a good place right off the bat.

Don't give up <3

Amane 07-27-2018 11:36 AM

Ava the Vampire Superstar.

Wave-a the Vampier Superseastar.

Zephi 07-28-2018 12:10 AM

Haha, you know that could work as well xD

hummy 07-28-2018 10:19 AM

When you have your G6 come pick us all up so we can party with you. I'm so very happy you love it there

Zephi 07-28-2018 11:14 AM

*breaks out the confetti* just show me where to throw it xD

monstahh` 07-28-2018 05:48 PM

I woke up completely cramped everywhere
legs, arms, back
ouch!
*hobbles around thread*

Zephi 07-28-2018 09:19 PM

Holy ow! You must have had some intense dreams... or a bad mattress? Hmmm 🤔

Ava The Vampire 07-30-2018 01:18 AM

I hope you feel better soon, faerie :(

I've been neglecting this thread. [cry]
I just don't know what to say anymore!

I have a discord server now]

Zephi 07-30-2018 05:35 PM

Well it's a hippy thread so... does anyone try anything new to move towards a zero-waste lifestyle?

Ava The Vampire 07-30-2018 06:40 PM

I talk about this all the time. [sweat]
I use cloth pads and menstrual cups during my period. I love them so much better than disposable pads and tampons. >:(

The thing with the disposable kind is, not only are they uncomfortable as fuck, but they are extremely wasteful! I love cloth pads because they feel like sitting on a pillow! And I feel like because they don't have chemicals or dyes or fragrances on them, they are actually a lot better for my craw.

I've considered using reusable "toilet paper" (which is basically just scraps of fabric, but I live in an apartment complex and I don't think it's hygienic to wash poopy fabric when we share washing/dryers... I'm fine cleaning my cloth pads in there because I always hand wash the blood stains out...

I've also seen reusable paper towel at a local Whole Foods! :D
I'd love to try it, but my mom still wants to use the recycled paper towel... :(

Zephi 07-30-2018 07:14 PM

I agree. The cups and cloth pads seem heckin great. I haven't had a period since getting the last mirena though, but definitely when it's removed...

Oh yeah! The reusable towels are cute. They all snap together. Tbh, I'd love to have a bidet but... I'm not rich =.=

I've got hemp dryer balls to replace dryer sheets and silicone and metal straws (because no one in my family needs plastic ones so it works for us). Tote bags to minimize horrible plastic ones.

I want to get a bamboo toothbrush but I don't want to order it online D:
Oh and I got a shampoo bar, to replace the plastic shampoo bottles but other than that... ugh. It's like companies make it SO hard to stay away from unnecessary packaging.

Ava The Vampire 07-30-2018 07:58 PM

Oooh! I've never tried hemp balls before!
I know they sold them at my local co-op back in Minnesota, but I never knew what they were for. :(

I have a bamboo toothbrush. :) I got it from Whole Foods. I now use a recycled plastic toothbrush... I like the recycled toothbrush better than the bamboo one because the bristles are not as hard.

llonka 07-30-2018 08:27 PM

Those are neat ideas! My husband is very close-minded though, so he wouldn't be up to trying anything new. I also have a hormonal IUD that causes my period to be gone. (Thank goodness)

Ava The Vampire 07-30-2018 08:33 PM

My dad is pretty anti-reusable too. :(
But he doesn't usually clean anything. My mom and I are the earth-conscious ones in the family. :D

llonka 07-30-2018 08:43 PM

I try, but it's so difficult!

Ava The Vampire 07-30-2018 09:10 PM

It's really hard to be green. :(
It can get really expensive buying things like cloth pads, reusable paper towel, and stuff...

But it is worth it in the long run, you save money... But starting off, it's expensive. That's why my mom didn't want to buy the reusable paper towel. One roll cost $17 and the recycled kind cost like $5 a roll.

hummy 07-31-2018 11:43 AM

Just use thin dish towels

Zephi 07-31-2018 12:21 PM

It's silly how some people are actually against not using things. Like I told my mom the veggie bags at the store are really bad because they are so thin they can't easily be recycled, even worse than regular plastic bags and a lot of times they can end up in the ocean and look like jelly fish which is good for some whales. So then they eat a bunch of plastic bags and can't digest them and then slowly starve to death. She replied with a so what?

😑

Then before this huge push to ban straws I was telling her about a video with a sea turtle and how every straw that has ever been made is still on earth. Again with the so what and grabs additional straws.

So I basically just left some tote bags in her truck and silicone straws at her house. :/ she literally does not care 😭
