EGADS, if I disappear forever, someone will need to ask the boyfriend if I've been abducted by aliens, joined the Avengers, or decided to get lost in the woods. ;) But seriously, I don't plan on vanishing. I'm out of college so I shouldn't have anything crazy happen. The only time I know I'll vanish is when I travel to NY. The internet out in that way (country land) is shotty so posting becomes challenging. But I'm not slated to go to NY for work until... like June, July, or August. So plenty of time to get a story rolling!

Awesome! The rekindled isn't something I've done before so I'm pumped :) As far as genre/theme goes, I'm seeing you like fantasy, sci-fi, and realistic (based off your fandom preferences, please correct me if I'm wrong). Realistic is boring (sorry, we live this er'day, dun wanna roleplay that) so let's not do that. Sure, we can be humans or humanoids but let's not do a modern day setting. Snorefest! (Sorry, just not my style.) So that leaves fantasy or sci-fi.

Hmmmm, if we did sci-if, I know what my guy's excuse could be! He joined the intergalactic forces alliance (army for lack of better terms) and has been out patrolling the galaxy. He could either happen upon her at one of the stations (like she's kidnapped and he saves her) they land at or maybe they cross paths on a planet that's getting attacked (so he rescues her by getting her away from the enemy) or the other idea is that her ship gets taken over my hostiles and his ship is in the area (he boards the ship, eliminates the enemy, saves her... yadda yadda yadda).

Now if we did fantasy, probably similar idea. Only less flying. He probably joined the army? Nah, we'll have his brother get killed so he leaves to go be with his widowed mother (his dad died when they were young). At some point his mom remarries so he'll leave and they'll run into each other in a different village. She can be having issues with a pesky man who won't leave her ago. He gets aggressive so my dude steps in to save the day (has no idea it's her). Only he gets the snot beaten outta him so she gets to patch him up. They talk. Blah blah blah.

Yeah, I have no idea. I can really tweak any story, if one sounds better to you. ^^

Xavirne: Nope, you're right. I love me some fantasy and such -- anything but modern! Hell, I don't even care if it's historic or futuristic. Just not modern! And thankfully, pretty much any theme could work with this plot.

I like your sci-fi idea! And what if we did a thing where the earth's inhabitable, so the world's remaining population was put on a few space stations created between the countries to sustain the rest of human life while they wait for the earth to be able to be habitable again? Maybe one day, one of the foreign countries' space crew decides to go into war and starts plotting to kill the USA's commander? And your character would be apart of the officers, the protectors, etc? What do you think?

I honestly would love to do a sci-fi one. I haven't done a sci-fi rp in too long. Way too long.

That sounds awesome to me! Reminds me of Wall-E in that regard, but it's still pretty straightforward. Humans are in space because Earth has issues. Maybe instead of trash, there's a parasite that's killing people. To survey, they had to go to space. And to ensure the parasite/virus/whatever didn't contaminate the new place, everyone had to get a bio-scan. Anyone with the illness was... well, put in quarantine.

And the idea of a foreign assault sounds great! But maybe instead of going for the commander, they want the US station because it's "better." More space, more research, more... well, everything. This country is rapidly running out of space (China comes to mind) and they want the US out so they can have not one, but two stations. One of their many attempts to oust the US is to assassinate officers of high ranking special forces ships (which can be why my guy's being stalked). They also want to just straight up kill people in charge. Or, if all those fail, to get the United Forces Alliance (like the UN) to essentially turn on the US and start a war against them.

Xavirne: Yes. A hundred times yes. I love this. And what if my character's the daughter of the commander? Hm... so much can be done...or maybe she's an officer for the quarantined people.

I like profiles, we could always put them in an ooc thread too.

Both ideas sound awesome. She could be booth. Commander's daughter who's an officer of the quarantined/med bay?

Xavirne: That sounds good. It'd definitely keep her too preoccupied to think about her old lover often? Haha. Hm. I can't think of anything else, to be honest. And you can go right ahead and make the thread, if you'd like. I usually look to whoever has less gold since starting a thread gives extra gold.

._. I got carried away. Hope you don't mind but I started creating my dude, Ollie. Yup, poor dude's been through a lot. I'm kinda wondering if maybe he returns from an Earth mission and that's how they meet each other. xD

Xavirne: Tried to get on as soon as possible so I could reply to things. The thread looks great so far! It might take me the weekend to start on creating my character, just a fair warning. Since I'm super excited for this sci-fi rp, I'm gonna wanna take some extra time in creating my character. Maybe even draw her myself, if that's alright (though my drawing skills are quite crappy...).

If you wanna go ahead and make the OOC thread, I'd be happy to follow in your step with profile stuff and so forth. I just got home from fabric shopping and I need to cut out some patterns before I can really do anything.

Since Monday's a holiday for me, I probably won't reply until Tuesday or Wednesday. But yeah, next week works for me. Like I said, I'm not really in a rush so whenever is fine and frequency/posting speed isn't really something I worry about so don't feel like you have to post if you're super busy/behind :)
