Ah ok...

The week has a hump? Wut o_o

kelseydee 10-29-2015 09:29 AM

Perhaps it's just a American thing. I never thought about before. But, could beeeeeeeee

hanahaki disease 10-29-2015 09:33 AM

Americans have quirkstuffzors. Weird [lol] what does hump mean in the context of a week?

kelseydee 10-29-2015 09:41 AM

It's the middle of the work week for most of us, so it's like climbing a hill, when u reach the top the hard parts done. Soooo when u reach Wednesday, it's all downhill from there.... I know it's silly, but, OK.

hanahaki disease 10-29-2015 09:49 AM

According to me, you go uphill Monday through Friday, reach the peak and then roll down with all your childish yells Saturday and Sunday >.>

Cap, thats a great tree climbing pic! I'm glad you didn't fall tho. Harder to come down. Btw, what's rdf momster mean?

I'm on spin bike right now. Having lunch with mr go at Mexican joint.

Happy hump day!

Yes. I slaved for Western Express. Goodbye, 2758. You were a fine tractor.

Moving on, the new job has a terminal in Turlock, California right off 99.
I plan on being in a new and shiny Peterbilt very soon. Some of the fringe benefits include free showers and free laundry while having the tank rinsed out after hauling fruit juice or cream. The company also offers paid tractor and trailer washes once a week. I'll be keeping it clean for sure now.

Lastly, I am enjoying some time with mom in Tucson. Tomorrow I'll be visitng the Kartchner Caverns for the first time. I had the Kartchner Caverns confused with the Colossal Caves which was where the bad guys of the Old West would hole up in while on the lam.

I imagine it will be similar to the caves I used to spelunk in when I was in high school. Those were the days when I could crawl through narrow tubes along jagged rocks. We shall see.

Careful on the wallet. It's national thrift day.
Every body Scrooge out!!!!!

HI there, Mr. Pisces. Long time no see. How u been?

Dazzlingdreamberry 10-30-2015 01:51 PM

Morning, morning! Was reading news. They're starting seasonal wood burning bans near by. I knew it. Fireplace burning on the way out. Even those presto change-o logs. We have a few left. Will have to have Mr x burn them soon. Then, maybe I'll store shoes there.

Well last doc exam was yesterday. Again, I lay in the unattractive paper gown. Doc comes in wearing black spaghetti top and skinny jeans. Hair long but pulled back. Resembled barbra Streisand and Sarah Jessica Parker. Attractive. No white coat. I would've preferred seeing the coat. This exam hurt and I was exercising my ouchside voice. Hope that's it. I've been 5 times to medical office this year. 5 times of circling up to G level parking, to prevent dings. Then taking stairs down to A.

Turlock, huh, Mr w? Will have to look it up. Near Sacto? I missed your message cause I had gone to bed at 7 p.m. but I thought it was 1k licks to get to center of tootsie pop. Spelunking. Exploring caves? But what are these tubes you speak of. Will look up. Have good day at caverns!

Hey, Dazzy! It's great to see ya before the weekend!!
I bet you are happy that all those doc appointments are done!
I hope any/all tests come back with a big A-plus on em!

I will be having some doc appointments next month....one for an on-going female issue, and one for the infamous Boob-Smash test!
Now, THOSE HURT!
Who would dream that a boob could be smashed so thin?!?
But THIS time they will be using 3-D imaging!.....Still the same SMASH test, though!

Happy Congratulations to you, Mr. Wrong, for the employment upgrade!
Will your routes take you all over the place, or will you be centered in a certain region?
I hope the Caverns are to your liking! ....I went cave-crawling one time....and I didn't mind the tight space or the pitch black.....it was the moment that our leader said he wasn't sure how to get back out that threw the panic into me!
When we DID get out, I was amazed at how far from our starting point that we exited!
I don't do caves anymore....unless they are a company-run attraction......and even then I worry about a power outage and becoming trapped! Lmao!

Capt....I hope all is quiet on the homefront!
Will you received trick-or-treaters for Halloween?
I decorated a corner of the front room for Hope....and she has been practicing....
She knocks on the door and says "Trit or Treat!.....Happy Halloween!"
Her parents are supposed to take her out, trick or treating, for her first time, tomorrow!
Sadly, I will be stuck on the lonely mountain....Still have no transportation of our own!
*sigh*

I just haven't been feeling well....emotionally....
The above-mentioned doc appointments are weighing heavier, on my mind, than I should let them.....but I find myself exhausted and not up for "the fight" should something need to be "fought!"
Also, with Hope's parents getting into a place of their own, it means that the time for Hope to move away is lurking closer....
Sarah has regressed in all her skills, from being cooped up in the house with little to do....and me too tired to do much with her....(she is heavy and hard to manipulate with my aging and aching hands!)....and she is in terrible need of a dentist that we have no way to get her to.....
Yeah....Life has been a bit of a Crap-fest for me, lately....
Add on the fact that the BF works 6 days a week and we are still broke....and when he comes home he eats then sleeps.....forgetting that I have waited all day to have an adult to talk to......Oh well......

I imagine that I will feel better about stuff after I find out some things from those darn doc appointments....
(I KNEW that I would be affected this way is why I didn't rush to MAKE the appointments....now I'm kicking myself in the keester for not addressing the issues SOONER! .....I am such a nutcase sometimes! Lol!)

So....YEAH!
I REALLY didn't think that this post would make it to completion before it did the "mystery vanishing act," so I really poured it out there.....
I just really needed to vent a little......and I figure my friends will understand.....

I gotta get busy, RL, and get Hope a bath and persuade Sarah to eat something....(Sarah's seizure activity has increased with the sudden weather changes....so she has been sleeping a LOT...and falling asleep before swallowing bites of food...)
I should pull myself out of this pool of self-pity and get my mind busy with fun stuff like......"NO! The Big Brown Bear can NOT take a bath with you, Hope!....its a stuffed toy that will NEVER DRY!) *wrings out soaked stuffed toy*

I love playing with Hope! .....she has discovered her mom's old BARBIES!!!
.....tiny little shoes EVERYWHERE!!! Lmao!

I gotta go!
I hope to bring more joy to the thread the next time I visit!
I hope everybody has a frighteningly fine Friday, Halloween Eve.....or All Hallows Eve Eve! Lmao!
[hug] [hug] & [heart]!

Mr. Wrong 11-01-2015 05:30 AM

Well, I did the cave thing yesterday and learned quite a bit. The Kartchner Caverns were discovered by two adventuresome spelunkers in 1977. Knowing they had made a significant discovery, they kept their find a secret. The two decided research the owner of the land in which these caverns belonged. They wanted to keep the caverns a secret because they had found other caves that had been vandalized with graffiti and helictites and stalagmites were broken.

During the course of several years, it came to be that the Arizona legislature would pass a bill making the Karthner Caverns a state park, thus protecting the caverns from destructive jackasses. The park opened in 1999 and even wheelchair accessible with the wide concrete path that runs in a ring through the caverns.

The entire park has a salubrious feel and setting and is done tastefully. The park rangers all seem knowledgeable, are friendly, and seem interested in their jobs. There are two tours that cost $21 each.

The ranger that led my tour group had a degree in geology and loved what she was doing which made my visit all the more enjoyable. I had seen stalagmites and stalactites before, but never in such abundance and variety. Scientists still do not know precisely how some of these formations come to be in the shape that they are.

I forget the name of this one particular formation, but it stands like a small pillar and has ridges on it from top to bottom that are about one centimeter apart for its entire height. It looks like a big stack of thin wafers that have been cemented by a mortar that looks like peanut butter. This pillar is formed from dripping water that contains calcium and other minerals and is about 13,000 years old.

Then our ranger guide told me and our group more about bats, bat guano, the food chain hierarchy that exists within and outside of these piles of bat guano than I had ever imagined possible. I had wondered before why mosquitoes existed, but now I know that certain species of bats consume them and other insects. Makes sense.

Inzanebraned, to answer your question, I do plan on going OTR which means an irregular route and possible forays into Canada. If that doesn't pan out, I'll just drive west coast regional. I do not know as yet where all I will be going, but I'll be sure to let you know.

Inzanebraned 11-01-2015 08:38 AM

I enjoyed the descriptive tour of the caverns, Mr. Wrong!
I neglected to mention that I did visit a tour of the Windy Caves in Manitou Springs, outside of Colorado Springs, when I was a kid....
Shortly after my mom moved me to Coloado, she and my step dad took me there.
I have one of the pictures they took of the group and sold as souvenirs...we are talking about 1974 or so....
The place still has tours, but I never have had the opportunity to return.
I remember how COLD it was in those caves....yet, the non-commercial caves I visited as a brainless teenager were very warm...
(Hmmm....I hadn't even thought about that till just NOW!) Lol!

I forgot, until today, that I have been blessed with the chore of Jury Duty on Monday!
I need to be at the county court house at 8 am!
The BF will have to call in to his job....
Since Hope is spending the weekend with her parents....and her mom was just let go from her job, we have agreed that Hope will return, with her mom, on Monday morning...and she can relieve the BF to go to work, and Turtles will stay at the house, with Sarah and Hope, till I return from Jury Duty.
If it weren't for the inconvenience to everybody else, I might even say I was looking forward to the experience!
But...there is a good chance that I won't be picked to stay. My viewpoints and opinions are a bit different than the average peer...
We will see, though....maybe I'll be picked and have a day-cation from my regular life!

mr. Wrong, I will be looking forward to hearing about where you'll be going and the cool attractions and sights that you share with us. ( You write very well for a truck driver!! Hahaha! Just kidding about the truck driver part! Lol!)

So....Miss Dazzy! What did you do for Halloween night?
We watched Bram Stoker's Dracula.
The movie is pretty good....interesting cast, though.
That was the height of the horror at our house!
We don't even have CANDY! ...and no car to get some!
But I did enjoy a healthy (?) serving of Pumkin Spice Cheesecake Ice Cream, though!
It was almost yummy enough to make me forget about all the KitKat bars and Smarties that Hope surely got!
I hope Turtles brings some of Hope's candy with her to "share with grandma!"

I'm not sure how I'm gonna get to the court house on Monday....I may have to walk to the Park n Ride, ride a bus for over an hour to connect to the light rail, then walk to the justice building.
I maybe able to borrow the Dog Guy's car....but he has been lending his car to his landlady.
Her suicdal son stole her car...and she commutes about 2 hours to work and 2 hours back!
What a great son, huh?....goes to show ya what Meth can make ya do!

So....that's the news from the mountain!

Hey, Capt!! ....how was trick or treating with the grandkids?
Did ya get any pics?

I hope everybody enjoys the extra hour of sleep from the time change....and ya have a splendid Sunday! [hug][hug] & [heart]!

Mr. Wrong 11-01-2015 02:33 PM

Thank you Inzanebraned for the compliments (I think). It sounds like you are interested in participating in jury duty. I know that some folks are not. I've been selected for jury duty in Oregon and Arizona. In Oregon, I had to wait and wait at the courthouse for my jury group to begin what is known as "voir dire". Pronounced (v-wah deer), it is French for "to seek the truth". This is the fun process where the plaintiff's and defendant's attorney's ask you questions to judge your biases to find out if they want you on the jury or not.

I was in line to be questioned, but a jury pool was selected before this happened. In Arizona, I never was summoned to the courthouse and all notifications were sent by mail. As it turned out, a jury pool was selected before my jury group even had to appear at the courthouse. That was such a relief.

Last night, I was at my parents' empty house in Bisbee to await any potential trick-or-treater or vandal. In anticipation of this, I purchased over $30 worth of candy. Not believing that there were going to be that many children, I gave out candy very liberally. It was a trickle at first, but then the hordes arrived. About an hour after it became dark, my candy supply began to dwindle. My parents weren't having many visitors so they brought their supply of candy to me, but I soon ran out anyway.

But it was worth it because I got to see some cool costumes. The first was a dad dressed as a jailbird. I couldn't resist jokingly wishing him luck at his next parole board hearing. Another dad was dressed as Johnny Depp's character from Alice in Wonderland. One kid had a zombie mask on, but removed it because it restricted his breathing. Poor kid. Several boys had masks on that completely concealed their faces. I had to ask if they could even see out of them. Some could, some could not. Another boy was wearing a viking costume and I couldn't resist requiring him to ask me, "What's in your wallet?" What a hoot.

The girls wore typical angel, fairy, and princess outfits with one notable exception. Accompanied by her brother who was clad as Han Solo, was this lovely 8 or 9 year old girl dressed as Princess Leia. Her costume was right and her hair was perfect. While I did tease Han Solo about his missing wookie, I gave both of those kids a little extra candy.

I gotta remember to buy more candy for next year.

Hey, I'm here on a Wednesday! Getting over a slight cold. It was election day yesterday. Interesting to see the results come in.

Wow, lots going on with you guys! Izzy, tell us how jury duty went. It Can be interesting. There was a cafe inside mine and I had a good Joe and brownie. I'm such a pink pig! I told you mine was about a crack pipe incident. I had to go 3 days, I think. After first day they pay a pittance, too. You'll just have to see what test results say. Sometimes our imagination just runs amok. I've never gotten the boob smash test. Too frightening for me. Did hope have fun trick or treating?

Mr w, I enjoyed your cave experience. How is it lit? Did you ever do that rock toy thing where you can grow some rock formation? Why do your folks have empty house? P9I looked up Bisbee. What a picturesque town!

Cappy, hope you're doing well!

Mr x working with interesting new guy. I'll call him preacher guy. Details forthcoming.

And so it goes. Meeting Mr go at Chinese restaurant. Think I need some hot soup.

Almost forgot. It Rained here Monday! About an inch. Highly welcomed.

Now go and enjoy your hump day!

Happy Wednesday, Dazz. The caves are lit by strategically located lights throughout the cave that coincide with the tour. The guide presses a button located along the path where the next talk will begin and voila! Light is shone upon the formations of interest. When the group moves on to the next site another control panel button is depressed and the tour continues as the lights from the previous area dim.

One information sign read that 117 miles of wire were installed in the caves. Never had the rock formation doo dad as a kid. I probably figured I was just going to be a truck driver and would never have need for that geology degree college crap. Learning shmearning.

The parental units own several investment properties in Bisbee. The vacant house is next to be worked on. When it is near completion, they will move in to live permanently. I love the layout of this house and whenever I am there, I fantasize that some fix up guys from those home improvement shows like The Property Brothers would show up and begin renovations.

I am still enjoying my hiatus from trucking. Maybe I will start my new job next week. I loves me some intermission.

---------- Post added 11-04-2015 at 11:34 AM ----------

Check your trades, Dazz. I got you some more stuff.

Named after a judge who never even set foot in the town, Bisbee is certainly the most eclectic town I have ever seen. The town was based on the Copper Queen mine which ran out of copper in 1976 or 1977. Mining began in the 1800s and was built by the miners who lived there. Downtown Bisbee is close to the mine and is where the bulk of the population built their houses. A lot of these houses are built on small lots on the surrounding hills on stilts. One thing is for sure, there are no cookie cutter houses in Bisbee.

There are houses that look similar in the Warren neighborhood, but they don't come from the Del Webb master plan for houses.

Inzanebraned 11-05-2015 09:22 AM

Well,...I didn't sit on a jury...
I got there on time...
The Dog Guy loaned us his car (his Landlady's son, who stole her car, parked her car somewhere with the keys in it and called to tell her where she could find it...so she no longer needed to use Dog Guy's car).
I checked in and listened to the first speech about how important the jury members are...
I waited...
The attorneys for the District court came and called some names...
I waited....made myself a free cup of coffee and waited some more.
The coffee didn't sit well on my stomach, so I spent $1.50 for a bottle of water....
The attorneys came from the county courts....first 1, then another...then a third...to call names...
It was the fourth attorney who finally called my name.
My group took a walk to the elevator and went to the 3rd floor.
I took a seat in the courtroom and listened to the judge...
We were told that the case was against the defendant who was charged with possessing and processing marijuana and marijuana products with intent to sell.
The judge then asked if anybody had any reason to believe that they had any bias or other reason to think that they would not be a good juror...
I raised my hand and told the judge that I had issues with our marijuana laws...but the judge didn't think that that was reason to excuse me.
Then the judge asked if anyone had legal or moral obligations that might prevent them from being available for the rest of that day and possibly the next...
Again, I raised my hand...and explained that I am the sole responsible party to care for my adults severely disabled daughter who has a seizure disorder and it isn't cheap to find her a "babysitter," ...but that since I had already made arrangements for the day, that I could be reassigned to another case that wouldn't last longer than the one day...
The judge agreed and sent me back to the jury pool room.
I stopped at the check in desk to tell the clerk...and she asked if my paperwork had been returned to me....
"No."
The clerk said "Well, you are free to go! Have a nice day!"
So....I beat feet getting out of there before they changed their minds! Lol!

...So...that was the extent of my experience with jury duty!
I wouldn't have minded staying for the day...but they couldn't guarantee that any case wouldn't run into another day...
So...I went home!

Hope and her Mom were already at the house and the BF was at work when I got home.
It was nice to spend the day with Turtles....I rarely get to see her without her man...and it was nice to watch her and Hope interact without Daddy around.

Well...my thumbs are numb...so I must stop for now...
I hope everybody has been having a good week! [hug][hug] & [heart]!

Well, you did your duty. I wonder if you'll get a huge check in the mail for $13.63 that you can't cash because you can't make it to the bank.

And the landlord's son sounds like quite the upstanding citizen.

Tis Friday and its 46*. Mr xs flower box on porch is not going to like this. They will die in the cold.

Mr w, thank you for the trade! I found something new in my inventory:) Hows restaurants in Bisbee? From the ads it looked very good. Do folks hike in those surrounding hills?

Cap, you can sympathize then with the boob smash test!

Well, that was an interesting day in court, izzy! Do you like to people watch?

My soup at Chinese restaurant had bits of egg shell in it. And won ton soup rather bland. I think my goal is to find A-1 Chinese restaurant. Ones here serve weak renditions. Don't even put out chopsticks. Mr go said he had chow mein at some middle state restaurant and they put Cheese on it!

Gf had 3 day temp job at a tech convention. All these strong accents from other country visitors. She was naming them all. She said it was tiring.

So this new coworker of Mr x. The preacher man. He reads a small bible every chance he can. At work. He has the hugest afro, which is his pride and joy. He's given up a job when guy said youd have to cut it. Mr x said once a guy came in with super long hair. The 2 admired each other's dos. However he's not gay. I asked Mr x what's he look like? He said like John legend or Lionel Ritchie. Late 20s I believe. Already did the drugs and women part. I find his views intriguing. He plans to be millionaire. He has patent idea. But he has these really odd experiences. Mystical stuff. I'll have to listen more closely when Mr x talks about preacher man. Oh, he lives in sf. Yet drove to Fresno, which is way far, for his grandma's birthday. And he has good relationship with her. The weird stuff he mentions are things like aliens, electrical energy. I like this guy! And he gets along with mr x. Preacher guy said he's going to write a book and will mention Mr x. Say what a cool guy he is. How funny!

Hey Dazzy! The Preacher Man sounds very interesting!
The BF watches videos about aliens and electric energy....he just showed me one about how to pull free electricity out of the air with copper pipes and power a whole house! ....for free!
He is also on a kick about how aliens used humans as slaves...and now they are done with us....our demise is eminent!
I listen....
It's interesting stuff....but it gets old when that's all he talks about!

Egg shells in your soup??!
I would have sent it back!
When I was young, my best friend's family took me to the coast for vacation...and their place of choice to eat was an omelet house...
I have never enjoyed eggs, much, but I ordered an omelet....2 bites in and my teeth crunched some egg shell...
This induced an embarrassing gagging fit and I just excused myself to the car and went hungry.
Would you believe that they went to that same omelet house the next day, too?
I chose to stay in the car, again....Being a picky eater, I was used to going without.
My friend got mad at me for not joining them!
The next day, the mom cooked for dinner...and served broccoli....which I had never had before....
I think I ate my weight in broccoli that night! Lol!

I'll eat a small omelet these days....but I have to keep my mind busy or I will subconsciously reflect on the sound of crunching egg shells and involuntarily gag, just thinking about it!

Today I go to the "female issues doctor" to find out what's going on inside there...
I've had pressure pain for years....kinda feels like I'm trying to give birth to my insides, sometimes!
I requested tests 2 years ago, but that doc told me "even if we find what's wrong, we prolly can't fix it," so I figured I would just "live with it"
My new doc had a less than interested approach when I told her about it....till my last female exam....
She finally ordered an ultrasound...and that suggested that I should be seen by a specialist....which I will be seeing today.
I am somewhat apprehensive,...but it will be good to finally get some real answers!

It was supposed to be sunny, today, here....but it is snowing!!
The BF is getting off work early so I can go to this doc appointment....I hope he gives me enough time for the commute in the snow!
....don't want to be in a rush and end up in a ditch!

What kind of flowers does Mr.X have outside?
I have a pot plant that chose to grow in an abandoned planter, outside...
I chose to let it grow...just to see how well it fairs under nature's care...
We have had low temps below freezing, already...plus measurable snow...but that little plant is still thriving!...the BF did put a box over it to prevent freezing when it frosted the first time.
I find it interesting how much money is spent on fertilizer and grow stuff.....and this little plant has only been fed rain water....and, maybe some chipmunk poop! Lol! and it has done fine!....though, stunted in size due to chilly nights and the high elevation.

I guess I better start getting ready for my adventure down the mountain....
I hope everybody has a fine, fine Friday!! [hug] [hug] & [heart]!
