The Co-operative Recipe Book

So. Fun story. My flatmates and I have joined something called a fruit and vege co-op which means that we pay $12 a week to get two mystery bags. One filled with fruit, the other with vegetables.

This means that I'm going to be cooking a whole pile of food that I've never tried cooking before, basing my meals around the veg we're given, rather than what I know is easy.

So I decided that I was going to start documenting what I'm doing. I'll record a few things, like what's in our mystery bags each week, what I decide to cook, how that goes for me, and what recipes/tips and tricks I used.

I'll mostly be posting about it on a blogging website, but I figure I'll do some of it here too, because I've missed this place the last few months.

Ooh, this sounds like fun! That squash sounds interesting [ninja] And...coconut water [drool] What are your plans so far?

I cooked the brussel sprouts just now... Waiting for everyone to be home before I do a taste test, but they don't look half bad wrapped in bacon!

So that didn't go too badly. I skewered the brussel sprouts and bacon, and baked them up like that. The picky eater in my flat gave up half way through, but everybody else seemed to not find them too bad. We also had sausages and mashed potatoes to go with the meal.

Yikes! I really lost track of this.
Long story short: Moved house, dropped out of uni, been job hunting... Hopefully I'm going to be picking this thread right back up where I left off (now that I've found it again)!
