Oh. So there's a Shadowhunters tv series on Freeform, which is owned by Disney. O: So that channel isn't available on satellite, huh. Don't think I'm interested in watching. XP I've never read any of her books, but the Clockwork series seems pretty popular.

Also, I loved warheads as a kid. Don't care much for hard candy now tho. X3
I only like regular gummies too. > o>

Yes.

I wouldnt recommend it anyway. [XP]
Yeah, the prequel "The Clockwork Angel/Princess/Prince" is amazing!

The sequel "Mortal Intruments" which they're calling Shadowhunters for the show, isnt all that great. First, you think its about incest then its not and then it turns into sexual/murder obession. Aha. I mean, the only interesting thing about it is that the characters have more involvement with the actual angels that make them who they are and introduce the mother of all demons Lilith (demonness who cannot have children) who wants to ressurect Clarys brother since he technically is a child of her bloodline since their father Valentine injected demonic blood while his son was in his mothers womb.

I could care less about the actual characters, though. Cept Jace (a.k.a John Wayland). He is the last decesdent of the Herondale line from the first book. :p I guess its intriguing to see how far Tessa's generation has grown? Since she is a warlock (warlocks/demons are immortal), she had a family with Will Herondale and later, she made a family with Jem. And their children mingled with the Fairchilds and Starkweathers, etc.

She actually appears for a bit talking to Magnus at one point but she never has any involvement like Magnus and the Vampire lady. Only those 3 original characters show up in the sequel. I assume she appeared to make sure the last Herondale didnt die?

I havent completed reading the sequel, though. So I kinda hope she does in the last 2 books.

Plus, I prefer the books I read revolve around London/UK/Fantasy.
The prequel is based in 1800 London? And the sequel is New York or something.

Same. The only hard candy I will eat is reeses pieces.

lol Looks like you're spoiling everything. XD Not that I mind. Pretty sure I'm not interested. XD I wonder if you'd like A Hero at The End of The World. O: It's set in the UK and is a fantasy. X3 I'd like to read it sometime~

Dystopia 01-19-2016 08:04 AM

;-; Ohhh. I enjoyed PBS. I can't remember off the top of my head what used to be on it tho. .___. Didn't it have a cartoon rendition of Redwall? I've always wanted to pick it up, but then I see the size of the books, and I'm like... Blerugh. It sounds too LotRy for my taste.

xuvrette 01-19-2016 11:35 AM

Freeform... what a name for a channel...

I will check it out ~
I kinda have too many books I'm still reading, lol.

Blackthorn Key - about mixing alchemy with science and government secrets.
The First Summoner - about magic, demons/dwarf, orc & elf wars (reminds you of Lord of the Rings)*
Lockwood & Co. - about exorcising & communicating with ghosts/cursed objects
Throne of Glass - about magic, demons, fae, royalty, witches, assassins, and etc.
Fallen Kingdoms - about magic, watchers, kindred, royalty, assassins, and etc.
A court of thorn and roses - about beasts, magic, fae, humans, demons, and etc.
The Iron Trails - co-op of Clare & Holly Black - about magic, demons, wizards, and etc.

^ They're all on-going series and my book collection is getting larger and larger.
I have to keep my other books tucked away because we don't have a book shelf or enough room to hold them all.

[ninja] Maybe?

There's other characters too that have some importance? xD It's all like a RPG game, they have to find clues and do missions before they figure everything out in the end. But first they always have to deal with their sexual frustrations and teen angst.

I kinda wished somehow that the Shadowhunters didn't die since they are part Angel? They can have kids, yes. But not with Downworlders (vampires/werewolves/warlocks, etc) because they're supposedly sterile. If they do choose a Mundane (human), they have either introduce them to become Nephilim with the Mortal Cup (can become forsaken if runes are placed on them before doing this)* or renounce being a Shadowhunter (they're very prejudice against humans). Tessa was the first experiment with breeding a Demon Doppelganger with her mother (who she thought she was having a intimate moment with her husband). So, she's the first to be half Downworlder and Nephilim.

The second book just deals with a brother injected with demonic blood in the womb and his sister injected with angelic blood in the womb. Plus, a family whose friends with Valentine and his wife, he injected her unborn child with angelic blood. He tried to do the same with himself but it just made him sick. I guess the girls best friend Simon being turned into a rare Vampire that can walk in daylight from drinking Shadowhunter blood and getting marked with the mark of Cain is kinda cool.

It makes all the regular vampires angry/envious and want him destroyed.

ahaha, I think its a term to let everyone know they're gonna make things whether they are good or bad.
Kinda like freestyle dancing, but with tv?

salvete 01-19-2016 04:31 PM

Ahh we have similar tastes in candy then :D

M i r o 01-19-2016 04:42 PM

woo! common tastes are rare but amazing <3*

I recently just got heart shaped sweetarts gummies, they are selling for valentines.
They're good [drool]

salvete 01-19-2016 05:41 PM

Oohhh I have not had those yet but I do love gummies!

M i r o 01-19-2016 06:29 PM

[heart] They have a good coating of tart sugar!
So they're very tart but yummy.

xuvrette 01-19-2016 09:55 PM

Wow, Miroro, that is a lot of magical fantasy stories! I LOVE! <33

Dystopia 01-19-2016 10:04 PM

Thas it. I think PBS had a cartoon version of Redwall. It was pretty good. I couldn't get into the books tho- They were too much like LotR. Too dry and historical.

uuu. For candy, I like chocolates best~

[hug] <333 Normal stories are just boring.

I mean, I like Sherlock Holmes.
Lockwood & Co. is just like that but with real ghosts/specters/wraiths, etc.

I prefer to watch movies based on true stories instead of reading books like that?

I do have the Monster, the Oath and the Visitation by Frank Peretti, they're kinda semi-realistic. The monster's about a genetic Bigfoot. The Oath deals with peoples sins and black ooze seeping from their hearts, then a Dragon comes to eat them. The visitation deals with a religious dark magical turn.*

Yay! I think they are still playing it. I was channel surfing and I saw those mice talking to each other.
I thought it was pretty weird. It reminded me of Disney's Mouse Detective movie. lol

[heart] chocolate is classic!
I actually found a banana bonbon recipe.

I can give you the link to it, if you want. c:
I want to make it but with a banana filling instead of juice.

Dystopia 01-19-2016 10:43 PM

What. Really? Well, I know that the Redwall series is really long, so I guess that makes sense... This was years ago tho... Maybe its a rerun?

... The last time I tried to make something, I set the oven on fire. For the sake of the security deposit, I don't make things any more. :I;;;

M i r o 01-19-2016 11:08 PM

Yeah, I think it's all repeats but its there xD

ohmy... I'm sorry ; v;

The bonbons are all stove made. Just to melt the chocolate/coating.
I don't think there are oven made bonbons?

salvete 01-19-2016 11:11 PM

*plops down and falls asleep*

M i r o 01-19-2016 11:38 PM

Be careful of any beddy bugs!

salvete 01-19-2016 11:41 PM

There are bedbugs here? o.o

Dystopia 01-20-2016 12:04 AM

;-; I was very sorry too.

Ah, I don't know. I've never made bonbons. Have you?

salvete 01-20-2016 12:52 AM

I have not ever made bonbons. And actually, I am not quite sure what a bonbon really is. I assume it is a dessert, but not really sure how it would be made or what it looks like.

Dystopia 01-20-2016 01:57 AM

What comes to mind is a round chocolate.

Nope! But bonbons are just melted chocolate being molded either by hand or by molds.

The recipe lists the silicone ball mold you can buy, to pour in the banana juice. You then put it in the freezer and it solidifies into the ball shape of the mold and then you dunk it in the oil coating to prevent the liquid from escaping when you dunk it in the chocolate.

You then put it back in the refrigerator. And then you make a outside coating of powder sugar and crushed up banana chips.

You can melt the chocolate by double boiling or in the microwave.

It's a sphere shaped chocolate xD
Like lindts chocolate, with filling.

Googled:

The name bonbon refers to any of several types of sweets, especially small candies enrobed in chocolate. The first reports of bonbons come from the 17th century, when they were made at the French royal court.

---------- Post added 01-19-2016 at 10:02 PM ----------

Here's the recipe: https://www.chefsteps.com/activities/banana-bonbons

It's made by real Chefs in their test kitchens <3
There's a written and video tutorial on how to make them.

I never heard of Banana Juice before, though. But they give you links where you can buy all the ingredients.
You can also look at their other recipes, they also have videos to make them!

I really want to make the brioche bread, yum.
There sadly are not any bakery's that make it here, which is just stupid to me T:

xuvrette 01-20-2016 04:30 AM

Talking about chocolate without me?! :<

I am quite picky with fantasy too, too picky to the point that my bookshelves were still unpack:<

Dystopia 01-20-2016 04:37 AM

So they're round chocolates! :3

One time I tried to melt chocolate... It burnt instead? :I;;;
