Cameron hid in the bathroom until she heard Tony leave. Then she ventured back out, looking for her cell phone. She needed to call for a ride home.

"Miss Cameron," Jarvis said, trying not to startle her. "I believe you may want to go downstairs, as well. Miss Sabine has not come in for work today."

"What?" Cameron asked, stopping cold. "What do you mean? Did she call out? Has someone tried calling her?"

"She did not call out, and to my knowledge, no calls have gotten through to her," Jarvis told her. "I have been attempting to contact her as well."

"I'll go to her apartment," Cameron said, digging around for her shoes. "It's not like her to fall off the grid like that. Can someone get me a ride?"

"There will be a car waiting for you downstairs," Jarvis told her. "Just tell the driver where to go." Meaning she could take the car back to the mansion, too, if she wanted.

"Okay," Cameron said, jamming her feet into her shoes. "Okay. I need to get downstairs, how do I get out from here?"

"Follow the lights, please." Little blue floor lights went on, leading her to the nearest elevator. Because Jarvis was helpful like that.

"Thanks," Cameron said. She followed the floor lights as far as they would lead her, all the way down the elevator and out the doors.

Jarvis didn't alert Tony that Cam had left until after Tony was a bit calmer and it had been determined that Sabine was nowhere to be found.

By that time, Cam was at Sabine's apartment, trying to figure out where Sabine had gone. Sabine's apartment was just like it always was, though; nothing was out of place or missing, and there was nothing messed up.

Tony sent her a quick text. No one can get hold of Sabine, no sign of her since sometime last night. Pepper last saw her at about 11 at the party.

Cameron hesitated, and then texted him back.

I'm at her place. Nothing's wrong, but she's not here. I don't know where she is.

Her cell phone is off or I could track it. Tony swore to himself. There isn't anywhere else you can think of where she'd go?

She's not at the mansion, or the company, or her apartment. She wouldn't go anywhere else without saying something to someone. Cameron bit her lip. I'm worried.

We'll find her. She'll turn up again. But honestly, Tony was worried too. He'd known Sabine for a long time, and this wasn't like her.

This isn't normal for her. She doesn't just disappear. Something happened, I know it. Cameron was jabbing the screen on her phone hard.

We'll find her, I promise. Tony was already working on getting all of the video of the party to try and find out what happened.

But there were no leads for three solid days. It was as if she had just vanished from the party, and Tony was ready to tear his hair out.

Until Sabine herself managed to make contact with Logan of all people.

Logan already wasn't sleeping well. Not that he really ever did, but it was worse than usual this time. So when he suddenly heard crying in his head in the middle of the night, he knew he wasn't dreaming.

It took Sabine several moments to realize that she wasn't the one feeling that rage-hate-protective-fight mix. She blinked her tears away, trying to calm her breathing.

Logan? she wondered. The person on the other end felt familiar, and that was the only person she could think of who would match.

"Sabine?" Logan didn't care that he said it out loud. He'd had Charles in his head enough times to know what a telepath felt like.

Oh god Logan. Sabine nearly started crying again. Where are you? She didn't get up to start pacing, because she couldn't, but she did look around a bit.

Doesn't matter where I am, Logan replied, already pulling on whatever clothes he managed to get his hands on first. Where are you? I'm coming to get you. He carefully didn't ask how she was contacting him; he already knew it probably wasn't anything good.

I'm... I don't know, Sabine replied. I haven't seen much of this place. All I know is I'm not in the city.

It's okay, Logan replied. He was half-way down the hall by this point. I'm going to get Chuck and see if he can find you with Cerebro.
