Well..the BF, Sarah and I officially have until June 15 to find a place to move to.
We had our eye on a place that would have been nice, close by, suitable. ..but before we could even submit an application the ad changed and now the rent is $200 more than initially advertised...putting it out of our price range.
Hope's parents's landlord just kept saying "If you keep aggressively looking, I'm SURE you will find something."
I kept trying to make him quit saying that he was so SURE...because he has no idea just how hard it is to find a place in the right location, within our budget, that will accommodate Sarah!
Most apartments have stairs to them, most affordable houses and duplexes are in the wrong county...
If we can't find something by June, I feel I will be forced to let the State take Sarah away so I can live in our car or under a bridge or at a shelter until I can become employed and save enough money to rent a much smaller place...without Sarah with us, her disability payment won't be there to help pay the rent.
I haven't worked since Sarah turned 21 and was "graduated" from high school...she is 35 years old now.
I worked part time while she was in school. ..then I became her 24/7 caregiver...which pays me little to nothing other than her paying a share of the rent and necessities like electricity and phone bills and for food... (yes, a phone is a necessity because Sarah has a seizure disorder and may, one day, need me to call an ambulance).
What I find sad and scary is that it would be EASIER and cost less money for me to obtain a handgun than it will be for me to find a place to live with my daughter!
And people wonder why the suicide rate is so high!
Ya get tired of trying and trying only to be knocked further back than where you started!
Soooo.....ANYway....Again, I just needed to vent and get this off my chest...and Hummy demanded I do so when I felt the need...
Thanks for reading this if you stuck it out and read it all...I can see why some may not.
I hope folks are having a good week so far!
