Flare En Kuldes
Princess of Obel

Flare returns to the island kingdom, Obel. She steps off the ship and stretches, "Oh....that was a long trip," she says to her crew. As one of the Obel guards come running up and bows, "Welcome home, princess." Flare sighs to herself and nods, "Thank you, you may go." She walks passed him and heads into the village.

Flare despites being a princess cause she always felt they treat her different. Just because she is royalty. She just wish she was normal, that's why she always sail the waters. None of her crew didn't care if she was a princess or not

Once she arrives to the castle, her father comes and gives her big hug. "Welcome home, Flare. How was the trip?" He asked. Flare hugs him back and looks at him, "Oh it was good. We didn't spot any pirates near Obel so I don't think we won't have any problems." She says, smiling at him.

"Oh that's good to hear. You must be tired you can get some rest." Lino says before returning to the throne room. Flare walks up to her room and sets her bow and quiver down on the table.

Being a wanderer wasn't easy, in order to get from place to place he had to as passing ships for a lift. Usually they said no but there were time when they said yes. At the present moment, he was on a merchant ship going to the Kingdom of Obel to stock up and sell a few things too. It seemed like a good place to check out. He had heard people speak of it on the ship and it sounded like a really nice lovely place. He looked out at the calm sea that surrounded them, no ships in sight which was great, they didn't need a irate attack right now. After a long time on the sea, they finally reached the Kingdom of Obel and pulled up in the dock.

One by one the crew stepped off the boat, Aldo being the last one and thanking the captain. "Thank-you again. I don't think I will be leaving right away, so until we meet again." he thanked and started walking through the cobblestone roads of Obel. He didn't know where to go exactly but for now he was walking around, perhaps he could find something to do in this place. The people looked at him suspiciously having not ever seen him before, he was used to this since it happened all the time. Walking around, he came across a regular looking building, but walking inside he could see that it was anything but a regular home. The decor was very fancy, that alone told him that he was in the home of a high classed person.

Flare couldn't rest much anyway so she heads out side and to the range. With her bow and quiver. She sets it down and fixes her hair before she grabs her bow. She starts to practice for a while as she never want to be out of practice. She like to practice no matter how much she was away from home. After a few minutes, she stop and sits down on the ground fixing her bow.

Maybe he could find someone that could tell him if there was a place he could stay at once it got dark? Aldo was also a bit hungry so some food wouldn't hurt either. Walking around a bit more, Aldo was stopped by a short funny looking man. "Excuse me but who are you and what do you think you're doing walking into the palace like this?" The man asked. Aldo smiled and shook his head, "I mean no harm sir. My name is Aldo and I'm only looking to see if I can find someone to answer some questions I have. You see, I'm new here. Just arrived not too long ago." Aldo explained honestly. The short man looked at him carefully before nodding, "I am sure the king or the princess can answer your questions. Wait here while I go get them." The man explained, leaving Aldo who just watched him leave in silence.

Setsu walks to the doors but saw Flare on the archery range. She had to be the closest one to get to. So he walks over to her, "Oh princess, there is a man here wanting some questions answered." Flare looks up and nods, "Oh ok. " stands up and brushes the dirt off her pants. Setsu sighs and shakes his head, "I do wish you and father wear clothes of your titles." Says while leading the princess back to Aldo. Flare rolls her eyes as she nevered like wearing dress unless there was a special ossasion. Both her and her father like wearing clothes that was comfortably to them.

Aldo was looking at the fancy decor, admiring it really. He knew that it must have cost a lot to get it all done the way it was. This was his favorite part of traveling, he enjoyed seeing how things were decorated or put together. This home was very well put together, obviously if it was a royal home it had to be very well put together. He currently had no place to call home, he didn't remember where he had called home before sadly. He had no family either, not that he knew of anyway.

Flare follow Setsu back to where Aldo was. "Mr. Aldo, allow me to introduced the princess of Obel, Lady Flare En Kuldes." Flare looks over Setsu and nods, "Thanks you can go now." He does go but he stays in ear shot from the stranger with the princess. Flare let's out a sigh and looks over at the male. She though he was very handsome, wondering where he came from. "So I hear you just arrived here, right?" She says curiously.

Aldo looked up when he hear the male's voice and bowed in respect towards the young lady that arrived with him. She didn't look like a princess but he wasn't going to question it. "It's nice to meet you princess Flare." he said respectfully. When the male was gone he nodded at what she had said. "That is correct. I arrived today on a merchant ship from Middleport. I'm a traveler you see." he explained softly. "I didn't mean to bother anyone, I'm just looking to see if anyone knows where I could possibly stay the night." he added quickly.

Flare sighs deeply as she rubs the back her head. She wasn't sure what the other though about her. "Please, just call me Flare… even though Setsu would disagree with it." Giggles lightly. She watches him and listens to his request. "Well the inn is a nice place but it's being repaired. So you can stay at the castle...." Setsu's eyes widen before he rushes over, "Your highness....are you sure? He may be a spy for the enemy?! I will not allow that." Flare glares at Setsu, "Well it's not you're call now, isn't?" Setsu pouts and walks away. Flare looks over at Aldo, "come on and I can ask my father." Turning/around and heads up/the stairs.

"Alright then, Flare it is." he said easily and listened to her replies. Stay in the castle? Him?! Was she joking?! "Oh...Uhh....F-flare I don't think that's such a good idea." he started but was interrupted when the short man returned, obviously having heard what she had just asked. His eyes widened and he laughed softly as he shook his head, "A spy? I'm not a spy I assure you." he answered easily. If he was a spy they'd be dead right now. Nodding, Aldo quietly followed Flare up the stairs while wondering what her father would say. He was about to meet the king, first day here and he gets to meet royalty.

Flare looks over at Aldo, "Oh don't worry about him. He is only looking the rights of the kingdom. Of course he can be a pain sometimes." She walks into the castle and heads to the throne but stops. As there was his father's voice but there was another one there. "You don't come here demanding my daughter's hand in !marriage, especially to someone like you!" Her father yells. Flare blinks having a confused look on her face.

"This is your last warning, your majesty. You have a month to decide or you will have a war on your hands. Think wisely, King Lino," the male says. The man walks out as he was tall and broad with brown hair wearing a military uniform. He walks past Flare and her guest, smiles at her. His smile made Flare's skin crawl and gave her a bad feeling.

Aldo stopped and couldn't help but hear everything that was being said and felt a chill run up his spine at the mention of war. A war over a marriage proposal? It sounded a little harsh, but maybe the man proposing was the true enemy. Thinking of it that way, it all made sense then. When the man walked out, he looked to be of importance. He dressed in a military uniform which meant he was probably a captain of an army, this was not good. Judging from the conversation, this man was not well liked by the king so Flare probably didn't like him either.

Flare notice what emblem that was on the man's uniform. "He is from the Kooluk Empire. I have seen that emblem before." Flare says looking over at him. "This isn't good. They have been expanding there empire across the island." She says watching the man leave and heads to the docks. "Indeed and it looks like Commander Troy wants you to be his bride. So that way he would leave our kingdom alone." Lino says as he leaves the throne. "But I guesscyou heard that I refused. If that happen..there would be no way they would stop." Lino explains before he stops and looks at the young man behind his daughter.

Aldo was busy thinking about the man that had just left. So his name was Troy and he was from the Kooluk Empire? He had heard about that place, but no one ever had anything good to ever say about it. It seemed like every person he met really hated that place and wanted it to be destroyed. The only way that could ever happen was a war, and he wasn't very sure if many people would be willing to take part in the war. He himself wasn't much of a war guy, he knew nothing about the way war training worked, but if it happened he'd try his best.

Flare blinks when she realise who he was looking at. "Oh daddy, this is Aldo. He was looking for a place to stay. Since the inn is being repaired I was wondering if he can stay here. I would hate to leave him out in the cold." She says to her father. Lino walks over and held out his hand to the young man. "Pleasure to meet you...I hope my people have been treating you right. Sorry about that little scene. I was hoping he would leave before Flare returned from her patrol."

Aldo snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a voice and turned his attention back to Flare and her father, the king. "H-Hello there. It's very nice to meet you." Aldo replied and shook the king's hand, nodding as he did. "The people are very friendly here, Quite a few were interested in knowing where I came from." he explained and shook his head then. "Oh don't worry really, It's quite alright. I can tell he's not very well liked by many people. I've not heard one good thing about the Kooluk Empire, that gives me more than enough reason to assume he's the enemy." Aldo said seriously. He was surprised by Flare's hospitality, this was not something he was used to. In all the times of him traveling, he's never met kind people like the ones he met here in Obel.

Lino nods, "The empire as been trying to force other smaller nations like Obel under there rule." He sighs deeply and shakes his head. "But any way you are welcome to stay here. Flare can show you to room. I need to go and talk to my general. I don't think that will be the last time we will hear from them." Lino leaves the castle and heads to where ever. Flare looks over at Aldo, "I'm sorry you have to arrive here at a strange time. I swore I knew I saw a ship, I just didn't think to much of it." Shakes her head. "Now I'm not sure what will happen. I guess I need more practice." Across her arms.

"You're the king, they should respect your authority, your decision." Aldo said and watched the king before looking at Flare. "Wait, you saw the ship?" he asked and offered a soft smile. "Well don't feel bad. I'm sure it could happen to anyone. Don't let one simple accident ruin your day." Aldo informed and raised an eyebrow. "Practice?" he repeated. What was it that she practiced exactly? If there was going to be a war, then everyone including himself was going to need to practice a lot more. He was already skilled with his bow and arrows, but practice never killed nobody.

Flare nods, " Yes, I not your typically princess, as you can see. I have my own ship and usually sail around looking for pirates. So yea.." She says. She rubs the back of her neck and shrugged. "It's not that easy. We are a small nation compare to Kooluk. No one wants a war but then no one wants to see me marry to someone like him." She walks over and leans against a post. "I'm train in archery. I'm very good too. No one never expects a princess to pick up a weapon" giggles lightly.

"Well yes no one expects it, you as you said earlier, you're not a typical princess Flare." Aldo replied. So there was more like going to be a war over this. It wasn't a good thing but maybe this was their only chance to overthrow that empire, to show that they weren't as small and helpless as they looked. This was going to take a lot of people though, so they'd have to start recruiting right away. "Funny, I'm into archery as well." Aldo informed.

Flare looks at him and smiles, "Wow, you're already here for five or six minutes and we already have something in common." She looks around, notice that she left hers outside. "Mmm you can look around if you want to. I will be right back I left my bow outside." She says looking at him. She pushes herself off the post and heads outside to get her weapon.

Aldo nodded and watched her leave before looking around the palace in silence. This was where he was going to be stayiing? He still couldn't believe they were allowing him to stay here. They didn't even know him, where this friendly to all visitors or was he some sort of exception? Aldo didn't think about it too much, instead he distracted himself by admiring the decor around the place.

On her way back from getting her bow. She heard some screams near by and it sounded like some children. Flare takes off running into that direction and saw they was surround by group of Jelly man. It was odd to see them outside of the Obel Ruins. No one was allowed in there without the king's permission. So the children must have sneaked into it and got ran out by them. She grabs an arrow from her quiver and starts firing at them. The monsters lost interested of the children and turned their attention to the princess. Flare yells at the children, "Run now! I got them." as she starts a fight with the monsters. The children did as they was told and takes off to get help for their princess.

Aldo was looking at a portrait of a family on the wall when he heard children yelling out for help. Quickly, he ran out of the palace and ran to the children. "What happened?!" he asked, both confused and concerned. When they told him about the monsters attacking Flare, he asked where this was and when they told him, he ran off with his bow and quiver full of arrows. So there were monsters of sorts here? What were the kids doing in such a dangerous place? Arriving at the ruins, he spotted Flare and the monsters. Quickly, he pulled out an arrow from his quiver, lined it up carefully and shot it with ease. It hit the monster in the face but it didn't fall right away which surprised Aldo.

The jelly man doesn't go down easy. As she uses her wind rune to cast, tornado wind spell at them. She tried her best not to aim it at Aldo. It finally brought down the remaining of them. It took a lot out of her as it brought her to her knees. She pants as she shakes her head, "Still not used to that..." mumbles to herself. As one of the jelly man had wounded the princess but she didn't play to much attention to it. She stumbles back onto her feet and heads over to Aldo. "Are you ok?" she asked.
