Bearzy 05-07-2016 07:11 AM

Pretty much actually. I didn't put my craft stuff in, or my full notebooks and sketchbooks.

xuvrette 05-07-2016 12:36 PM

how many completely filled up sketchbook you have?

Bearzy 05-08-2016 12:55 AM

Too many? I keep them all, even the ones from when I was like 13, so... about ten? More maybe? I tend to have more than one on the go at a time.

xuvrette 05-08-2016 04:22 AM

I never filled up my sketch books... T__T
and I throw sketch book away~~~ the old and filled up with awful sketches ones.

Little Sister 05-08-2016 11:49 AM

I like keeping them so that I can look back at old ideas - I draw OCs a lot, and scenes, and I like being able to go back and pull bits that do work out of bad pictures. Like, the anatomy of an image might suck but the composition was good, or the OC was interesting?

xuvrette 05-08-2016 03:39 PM

I find that I seldom look back at the old stuff. :/
I always search for new ideas.
There is also a thing about why I can't fill up a sketchbook. It is always abandon after a few pages. Feels annoyingly wasteful.

Little Sister 05-08-2016 09:07 PM

That's why I have a lot going at once, because I like to start new ones all the time. But I do usually go back and fill up the older ones.

xuvrette 05-08-2016 10:08 PM

If I buy a nicely bound and expensive sketchbook, I wanted all my nicest 'sketch' in it.
lol.
The price of sketchbook is so expensive to the point that I treat it as a final art instead of sketch paper.

Little Sister 05-09-2016 12:43 AM

[lol] yeah I know that feeling. I treat the sketchbook as both, but I will rip the paper out of the book and paint it if it's gonna be final.

xuvrette 05-09-2016 02:03 PM

You... rip it?! O__O

Bearzy 05-09-2016 11:07 PM

Yeah most of my sketchbooks have ringbinding so it is easy to pull pages out if I need to.

xuvrette 05-10-2016 04:33 AM

I dont like ringbinded. All pristine sketchbook I keep are binded with nice cover.

Bearzy 05-10-2016 04:41 AM

Some of mine have nice covers like that but not my normal everyday sketchbooks.

xuvrette 05-10-2016 12:34 PM

I sketch on recycled paper. lol. As in, the one side printed paper.

Shadami 05-11-2016 12:42 AM

bearzy are you cosplaying as Captain Americas black lover friend guy that i don't know the name of since i haven't seen any movies with him in it . mixed with some kind of antman touch?

Bearzy 05-11-2016 08:49 PM

No deliberate ant man touch, these were just the closest thing to Sam's wings I could find. And yeah. His name is Sam Wilson, codename Falcon and he is Bae.

Browsing through the Cartographer Guild website really is good motivation push to think about my world building. *musings*

Shadami 05-16-2016 10:22 PM

world building is such a struggle for me... I'm terrible at laying out cities.

xuvrette 05-16-2016 11:49 PM

I enjoyed world building, it is big and hectic, but I love to be OCD and perfectionist about every world detail. XD

Shadami 05-17-2016 01:37 AM

i'm still learning how. xDand i always want to draw a map which probably kills me. xD

Bearzy 05-17-2016 02:07 AM

Maps are helpful! Do you have grid paper? It's a real help.

xuvrette 05-17-2016 06:30 AM

Without visual guidance, I myself would be lost in my own world. O___O

Shadami 05-17-2016 02:05 PM

i have a ton of graph paper. I'm working oN dungeons and dragons maps >.> hehe

xuvrette 05-17-2016 02:07 PM

Now that makes sense, I saw quite a few dungeon maps, and many of the style uses grids.

Shadami 05-17-2016 03:24 PM

yeah. and it makes it easier for zooming in as well. so if it takes up one grid that is 6 miles across, you zoom in and 3 equals 6 miles so 1 is each is 2 miles. :D
And than you can put in more and more detail.
