"Yeah I have." Tony shrugged and pulled up a picture of a young man. "That's Charles Spencer he's a great kid. Computer engineering degree, 3.6 GPA. Had a floor level gig. An Intel plan for the fall. But first, he wanted to put a few miles on his soul.
Before he park it behind then desk. See the world, maybe be of service. Charlie didn't want to go to Vegas which is what I would do. He didn't go to Paris or Amsterdam. Sounds fun. He decided to spend his summer, building sustainable housing for the poor Guess where, Sokovia. He wanted to make a difference, I suppose. I mean, we won't know because we dropped a building on him while we were kicking ass. There's no decision making process here. We need to be put in check. Whatever form that takes, I'm game. If we can't accept limitations, we're bounderless, we're no better than the bad guys." he fell silent staring at his hands.

Aurora couldn't remember him looking so depressed before.

"Tony, someone dies on your watch, you don't give up." Steve said.

Gemini's ears went down slightly. She hated seeing everyone like this.

"We aren't giving up!" Tony snapped. "No one said we're giving up."

"We are, for not taking responsibility for our actions. These documents just shifts the blames." Steve countered.

"Sorry. Steve, that... That is dangerously arrogant. This is the United Nations we're talking about. It's not the world security council, it's not SHIELD, it's not HYDRA." Rhodey spoke up.

"No, but it's run by people with agendas and agendas change."

Tony ran a hand threw his hair making it even more of a mess. "That's why I'm here. When I realized what my weapons were capable of in the wrong hands, I shut it down and stop manufacturing them."

Aurora frowned. "yeah but you choose to do that. If we sign these,
we surrender our right to choose. What if this Panel sends us somewhere we don't think we should go? What if it's somewhere we need to go, and they don't let us? We may not be perfect, but the safest hands are still our own."


Tony shook his head. "You don't get it. If we don't do this now, it's going to be done to us later." he glanced at Wanda. "Thats a fact." "You're saying they will come for me." Wanda frowned as Tony nodded. "We will protect you." Vision assured her. Nat finally spoke up. "Maybe Tony is right. If, we have one hand on the wheel that can still steer we'll have a better chance."

"I'm just...monitoring." Nat shrugged. "We have made some very public mistakes. We need to win there trust back." Tony smirked. "I'm sorry, did I just mishear you or did you agree with me." Nat sighed. "Oh, I want to take it back." Tony laughed. 'No, no, no. You can't retract it."

Aurora rolled her eyes then frowned as Steve's phone dinged.

"Steve!?" Aurora blinked and went after him leaving the others to talk. "Whats wrong?" she asked taking his hand frowning at him.

Tony blinked a couple times. "OK...well everyone should figure out what they want to do. I'm not going to force anyone to sign."

Steve looked up at Aurora. "It's Peggy." He told her. He didn't want to say it.

Gemini winced. The pain coming from Steve was like a punch to the gut for her. She did her best to ignore it, not wanting to intrude on his feelings, and turned her attention back to everyone else. They were all deciding what to do. But she already knew what she was going to do.

"What about her?" Aurora blinked. "Did she take a turn for the worst?" she saw the hurt in his eyes. "Its worse isn't it?"

"Your quiet." Tony sat next to her.

Steve nodded. "Her funeral..." His voice broke. "I have to go. It's soon."

Gemini looked up at him. "This is a difficult situation." She said. "You should know. I can't...I won't sign this."

"Oh Steven. I am so, so sorry." Aurora crushed him into a hug. 'I'll go with you." she promised. "If you want me to."

Tony blinked a couple times. "Well I'm not going to make you but do you mind if I ask why?"

Steve hugged her back. "It would help...if you came..." He said quietly.

Gemini nodded. "No, I don't mind." She sighed. "I've told you about my sixteenth birthday, when my parents died, right? Well, there's more to the story. You see, around that time, there was an unusual amount of half-breed demons popping up, all with more power than they should have had. Not just in Japan, but all over the world. The world leaders collectively decided to treat this as a threat, and were rounding up these half-breed children for testing. Apparently they had been watching me for a while, to see if I was one such child.

On my sixteenth birthday, I woke up with another tail. Kitsune can have up to nine, more tails indicating more power, but a half human is only ever supposed to have one. The fact that I now had two meant I was more powerful than I should have been. So, on that day, just as I was blowing out the candles on my birthday cake, a group of government-hired demons burst into the safe little pocket dimension my father had created and tried to take me away. Father tried to fight them, but they did something to him...they took his powers away, made him weak. Mother tried to fight, too, but..." She took a shaky breath.

"I lost it when they hit her. I felt this horrible rage, and I blacked out...when I woke up, the forest was in flames. Our home had been leveled. And my parents, along with the demons who tried to take me...they were all dead. I sat there for so long, with ashes raining down on me like snow...and then I ran away." She looked him in the eye. "And now, the same people who caused that catastrophe want us to work for them. I can't do that. Tony, what are you going to do when they send you off on a mission like that one? Where your objective is to subdue or even kill a half breed like me who lost control of their power? You won't have a choice in the matter. I'm sorry, but I refuse to be forced. I won't bend to someone else's will."

"I'm not going to let that happen because I do have a choice in what we do...they just don't realize that I don't listen well." Tony smirked. "This whole thing wasn't my idea. They told me about it yes and I had to do something to keep them from getting rid of us completely. I don't like this solution either but it's all they would give me. So I'm going to examine each time they send us out and do what is best for the situation." he sighed. "but you should do whatever makes you happy."

"Alright love." Aurora kissed him gentle on the cheek. "Lets get packed."

Gemini turned and hugged him. "I just don't want to be under anyone's thumb. Heh...it's almost funny. I finally figure out what I want to do with my life, and something happens to make that impossible."

Steve nodded and went to do just that. In just a few hours, they would be attending the funeral of the first woman he'd ever loved.

"I know. I'm sorry love. I wish I had done more." Tony sighed. "But after what happened in Africa." he shook his head and pulled her into his lap.

Aurora went to London with him and stayed close frowning when they got to meet Sharon Carter, Peggy's niece.

"You try. You do what you can, as best you can, and that's what matters." Gemini said, laying her head on his chest. "I know how much all this hurts you. I wish I could make it better."

Steve spoke to Sharon for a bit after the service, then parted ways and turned back to Aurora. "She's nothing like Peggy. It's so strange...every part of my old life is gone now. Peggy was the last link I had to who I used to be. It feels strange."

Tony smirked and pulled her close. "Having you here makes things better?" he kissed her cheek gentle.

Aurora took his hand. "I can't understand how you must feel." her eyes changed colors. "But now you have us." Cress grinned. "Cress! Be more sensitive." Aurora scowled. "Sorry about her."

Gemini smiled. "I'm glad I can help in some way." She said.

Steve managed a chuckle. "No, that's alright. She's just trying to help...in her own special way. I appreciate it." He said.

"No she's just annoyed that you can't get over it." Aurora sighed.

"Your more of a help then you could ever know." Tony kissed her neck gentle.

Steve rolled his eyes. "I'm trying so hard to give her the benefit of the doubt here, and she just keeps proving that she doesn't like me."

Gemini blushed at the tiny whimpering sound that came from her. "H-hey, not in front of everyone..." She squeaked.

"I like you just not your pass lovers." Cress pouted. "How would you like it if I got sad and moppy about Tony dying?" Aurora groaned. "She's such a child." "I am not!" Cress huffed.

"Everyone left." Tony smirked moving his mouth to her ear. "Its just you and me."

"Past lovers? Cress, what exactly do you think I did with Peggy?" Steve asked.

Gemini looked around, and he was right. "Okay, but we're still in the open. Could we at least move to a room?"

"You and her did it." Cress nodded. "Your an idiot." Aurora sighed. "Hey just because he only said he did it once doesn't mean he's not hiding that he did it with Peggy." Cress countered. "She's so cute when she's jealous." Aurora smirked. "I am not...ok maybe I am but Steve it ours now!" Cress pouted

"We are in a room." Tony chuckled but lifted her and carried her to his room.
