Faythe frowned and dried off Valentinus' tears."There, there. You'll be okay. You need to listen to her, talk to her. Tell her how you feel but give her a chance to explain her feelings too. You can't just shut her out, listen to her." Faythe explained once Valentinus had managed to calm down. "Let's go back inside. I want you to talk to her, truly talk to her and tell her how you feel. People say things that they don't mean many times, you can't hate her for one comment. If you truly care about her, you need to let her know and you need to forgive her when she messes up." Faythe added and stood up with him, then led him back into the shop.

Valentinus nodded, he knew Faythe had a point. Deep down, he still cared deeply for his little Holly but how was he supposed to tell her that he wasn't pretending at all. He teased her because he liked her, not because he liked making her suffer.walking with Faythe, they found both Holly and Silvermist in the kitchen making cookies. "Friendship cookies..." He noted and smiled weakly. Poor Holly was really trying to cheer him up by making the most difficult cookies in the book. "H-Holly...we need to talk. I need to apologize for what I did, I didn't mean to make you upset or uncomfortable. I deserved your words, even though they hurt, the truth always hurts and I have to learn to accept it." He started.

Holly was in the middle of pulling out the cookies when she heard Valentinus. She let out a scream as the cookies suddenly burst all over her and the kitchen. Tears fell from her eyes as she sat in the floor from being knocked back. She looked at the tray she held in her hands still with pieces everywhere but where they should have been. Holly hung her head as tears feel from her face as she started to cry. " I'm sorry I apparently screwed something up in the recipe. I wanted to make them for you. Your baked goods are so yummy and full of love. Silvermist and I thought these would help you see how wonderful the love you put into your work really was. Unfortunately I'm a failure there as well. Holly said as cookie much fell from her hair and splattered some from the pain onto her face making her jump from it hitting her face.

Silvermist looked to Faythe as he walked out of the kitchen he gently took her hand as he lead her away. " Why don't we leave them be for a little while. I could really use some help getting all this off me if you don't mind. It's hard to get in a shower or bath with antlers. " He said as he smiled softly looked at her. " I thought the cookies might help break the ice I didn't for see this issue. However if you like friendship cookie smelling deers I might be the deer for you at the current time." He said as he smiled warmly at her.

Faythe smiled and looked at Silvermist. "Let us get you cleaned up Sir Silvermist. Although I must admit you smell very delicious right now." She said and took his hand in hers as she led him out of the kitchen. "I really hope that they can work this out, it breaks my little heart seeing them so upset. Especially over something this small. Although I guess it's not so small if it really hurt Valentinus." Faythe commented with a sad smile on her face.

Valentinus frowned as he saw her break down in tears. Quickly, he sat down beside her and wrapped his arms around her, not caring about getting cookie crumbs all over him. "Holly please don't cry." He started and wiped away her tears and looked at her, "They're not the easiest cookies to make, trust me, I have trouble myself." He admitted and sighed. "Look Holly, I really like you. I'm not doing anything to mess with you or because I love to torture you. You are not ugly, I think you are the cutest girl I've ever seen, so adorable and cheerful. I mean every word I say to you, even in the letters. I'm sorry that you think I enjoy torturing you...I tease you because I thought I would return the favor. I mean, you tease me all the time when you kiss my cheek or call me handsome." He explained and frowned.

Holly looked to Valentinus as she heard him. " Oh...that's what you thought." She said softly as she smiled softly and gently hugged him back. " No I was being honest you are very handsome. And about the kiss on the cheek I really hadn't thought anything of it or really by it. My family always kisses those we care for on the cheek. But your right I could see where that would be confusing. I'm sorry about that Valentinus. I wasn't trying to hurt you either. Now your all a mess. I'm sorry for that." She said as she sighed and then smiled brightly at him. " You really are special I don't know many that would sacrifice themselves to make another smile when messy cookies are involved. " I like your cookies better I don't think I want to try making these again." She said softly laughs as she smiled at Valentinus. " I really think your handsome and a very sweet guy. Besides you where willing to make me smile even though you said I hurt you so bad. I only wanted to do that for you." Holly said.


Silvermist nodded as he looked at Faythe. " I know Holly didn't mean to just as I'm sure your Valentinus would never mean to harm Holly. " He said smiling at her. He sighed as he looked up seeing all the cookies in his antlers and hair. " This is going to take a while. There are times I hate my antlers. " He said as he smiled and looked at her.

Valentinus carefully started to remove any cookie bits from her hair and face as best as he could, but she was going to need a bath. Listening to what she said, he blushed softly. "Don't feel bad about yourself Holly, I'll be okay. A love God isn't depressed forever, I'll be back to writing letters tomorrow. " I can help you make these cookies if you want. I'm sure the hospital people would appreciate them. Besides, I did say unwanted to help them out somehow." Valentinus reminded and looked at Holly. He was happy to see her smiling again, and kissed her cheek just to stay safe since he didn't want to hurt her again.

Faythe laughed softly and started removing the cookies from his hair and antlers. "Well would it make you feel better if I told you that I love your antlers Sir Silvermist?" Faythe asked as her dark brown eyes looked at him with a soft blush on her face.

Holly smiled and he eyes widen as Valentinus kissed her cheek. She smiled happily as she laughed softly. " Awe Jingle Bells your so sweet some times. I told that stupid heart cookie I didn't want a Mr. Clause . So instead it gave me a love god." She said as she laughed then hugged him tightly and kissed his cheek in return. She smiled and finally let him go as she stood and look around the kitchen as she closed her eyes. When she open them the entire kitchen was clean along with her and Valentinus. " There and I would love the help. Or how about I cheer you on since we saw how well the cookies worked for me." She said softly not really wanting to get covered in friendship cookie again.

Silvermist smiled as he laughed smiling at her. " Well then I guess I shouldn't complain about them. If a beautiful creator as your self loves them then maybe they are a gift instead of a curse. " He said to her as he tried to help get all the friendship cookie off his antlers. " Well if we ever get all this cookie off my antlers I was thinking we could take a walk around the forest before it's time to head to bed if you would like I mean. "

Valentinus chuckled and held her close, she smelled like cookies. "You have to be careful what you wish for Holly." He said and blushed brightly when she kissed his cheek. "Alright, but you need to tell me if they taste good or not." He agreed and stood up and grabbed what he needed for the cookies. This was going to be tough, the only person that could make them was his father. Reading the recipient, Valentinus started adding the ingredients into a large mixer bowl and started to mix it all by had, he believed it would be better that way. Valentines added a few drops of vanilla and some cinnamon then added some sugar and mixed it thoroughly. Smelling it, he motioned for Holly to try a bit of the batter. "Is it good?" He asked, adding a bit of milk to make sure it was perfect and mixed it.

Faythe blushed and continued to remove the cookie bits from him. "Oh Sir Silvermist, I would love that very much!" She answered. Looking at him closely, she looked for more cookie bits and chuckled when she saw that they had finished. "All done." She said but then noticed a bit more and quickly removed them. "Okay, I think we got them all this time." Faythe informed.

Silvermist smiled as he took Faythe's hand and gave her a soft grin." Good." He said as he transported them to the forest. He held onto her hand as they stood in the middle of the forest. He smiled as he saw the stars out. He pointed up at the different consolations for her. "The consolations are beautiful tonight but none of them can compare to you. " He said as he smiled at her. "You know they say if you star up at the same star even if you are miles apart you'll be connected with the ones you love." He said softly as he looked at her. " So pick a star that will be our star so no matter where I am I can look at it and know you are looking at it too." He said softly looking to her as he smiled softly at her.

Holly smiled as she tried the batter. It made her smiled even more as she giggled softly and danced around the kitchen. " It's amazing I love your baking!" Holly said as she got the pans out for him and tried to help as she could. Holly smiled as she looked at him. " Your cookies taste so good!" She said as had a idea. " You know you could come with me to the hospital. I was thinking what if we got some new clothing for the people there , some new blankets and besides cookies and food what if we brought some toys, books, and how about a puppy or two? It would be sure to brighten the day and if we could decorate the place a little. I think I might start going there and volunteering. I could read or keep them company. "

Faythe smiled and looked up at the stars. The night sky was always so beautiful, especially when the stars filled it. Hearing his compliment, she blushed and looked at him and kissed his cheek. Looking back up at the night sky, she looked at the many constellations and blinked. "Really?" She asked. Faythe had never heard of this before, it was sweet though and she wanted to take part in this. "You want me to pick a star?" She repeated and looked at him, surprised but smiling all the same. "Alright then, lets see..." She started and looked over at the stars. It was going to be hard to choose one but she pointed to one that was shining rather brightly. "That one, I want our star to be that one." She said and looked back at him. Just looking at him made her heart flutter in her chest.

Valentinus chuckled when he saw her reaction. "That's a very good sign!" He said and thanked her for the pans. To the mixture, he added flour and started kneading it easily so that he could use the cookie cutters on the dough and then place the cookies on the pans. This recdpie took very long but his father had always told him it was worth it in the end. Valentinus rolled out the dough carefully and started using the Christmas and heart shaped cookie cutters before placing the cookies on the pans and then placing the pans in the oven. "Now we wait." Valentinus said as he washed his hands. He listened to Holly's suggestion and turned to look at her. "I'd love to go anywhere with you Holly. I think that's an excellent idea!" He said to her with a nod of his head.

Holly's eyes widen as she smiled seeing the heart and christmas cookie cutters. She felt her heart leap with joy as she heard him say he would go anywhere with her. Holly was so happy she jumped at him as she wrapped her arms around him smiling and laughing. Holly peered up at him as she blushed softly and leaned up kissing him. She closed her eyes as she felt a magic she had never felt before. Holly blushed brightly as the kiss faded. She giggled softly as she smiled warmly at him. " Good I want you to always be with me!" Holly said meaning it as she smiled at him once again. " Besides with your baking I'd follow you any where." She said teasing him softly. She gave him a playful wink as she let go of him smiling and danced around the kitchen obviously in a spectacular mood.

Silvermist smiled as he looked up to the star Faythe had chosen. " Then that one it is." As he looked down at her smiling softly. "I wont ever forget it, it shines brightly just like the one who chose it." He said softly as he smiled at her before wrapping his arms around her waist holding her close peering up at the star. " It's a little cold." He said hoping she didn't mind him holding her close trying to keep her warm. He had been raised a gentleman and knew the night air would be cold to her. Silvermist smiled as he looked down at her sliding one of his hands to hers as he slid his other hand down her back and started to dance with her under the stars. The forest made their music. The stream, the animals, and the trees. He danced with her for hours holding her close to him.

Valentinus checked the time and checked the cookies from time to time just to make sure they didn't burn. He never burned anything though, he was a perfectionist and burning things was not considered perfect in his book. He was surprised when Holly practically tackled him, almost causing him to fall over. Before he could say anything though, her lips were on his and his heart felt as if was going to explode. Valentinus blinked in surprise when she had pulled away, he let out a breath and stared at her. "Wow..." he whispered and blushed as pink as his hair. "I..." he started but he was at a loss for words at the moment.

Faythe smiled up at Silvermist and blushed, she was sure he couldn't tell though since it was dark outside. She nodded and remained close in his arms. He was right, it was a bit chilly out and she knew she would have to keep warm somehow or at least stay inside and sit by the fire. "Yes it is isn't it?" she agreed and looked up at their star. "It's only going to get colder." she commented softly and giggled when he started to dance with her. Faythe happily danced with him under the moonlight and the starry sky. She didn't show it, but she was actually afraid of the dark which is why she always slept with Valentinus so that she wouldn't be alone.

Holly turned as she smiled at Valentinus. " You what? " She asked wondering what he wished to say. She just smiled at him as she giggled softly smelling the wonderful cookies. " Oh they smell so good! I'm jealous your batch looks like it's going to turn out perfect." Holly said as she sighed and then smiled as she walked over to Valentinus peering up at him. " Maybe it's that lovely pink hair of yours. Or it could just be you are the god of the kitchen." She said as she sighed like a small child and then peered up at him. " I will figure out your secret one day that I vow to you!" She said as she smiled at him.

Silvermist smiled as he held her close and their dance came to a end. " Faythe it's ok I promise to protect you." He said as he peered up at her star one last time. " We should head back. I don't want you getting to cold." He said as he looked to her and smiled. " Thank you for a wonderful evening." He said as he used his crystal and they appeared back inside the shop.

"I promise to always be with you anywhere you go Holly." Valentinus promised and turned to check on the cookies before taking them out and letting them cool that way he would be able to decorate them. He glanced over at Holly and chuckled. "Yes, I'm sure my hair is the source of all my powers huh?" he said and handed her a decorated cookie. "You get the first cookie." Valentinus said and then went back to decorating the rest of them. "That kiss was a very nice surprise by the way." he commented with a smile.

Faythe was confused when she heard his words. Had he read her mind? "I believe you." she answered and looked up at him. "I should be the one thanking you. This was a perfect evening, thank-you for choosing me to share this with." Faythe said honestly. Once they were back inside the shop, Faythe smiled at Silvermist and kissed him softly before blushing brightly and staring down at her feet. "I should get ready for bed. I'll see you in the morning." Faythe informed before excusing herself and heading up to her room for the night.

Holly was about to try the beautiful cookie Valentinus had handed her when she heard him. Holly was stun hearing him as she blushed a little. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. Maybe I'll start a tradition with you. " She said in a playing tone as she looked to Valentinus and smiled. "I love your pink hair and it could be. It's very striking and makes anyone look at you. " Holly said as she looked down at the cookie he gave her. " It looks so pretty I'm almost ashamed to eat it." She said as she stared at it admiring it. Holly finally brought herself to taking a bite. She closed her eyes as she did so.

Holly's eyes flashed open as a large smile appeared on her lips. She cut her eyes to Valentinus as she started to laugh and giggle looking back down to the cookie. " It's so amazing it's like everything good and wonderful in food form! No one could be upset or hurt or anything but happy eating these. Oh my these will be perfect for the hospital. These are perfect for anyone." She said as she laughed and looked over at Valentinus. " These are so yummy. You really are talented. " She said as she looked down at the cookie and had a pouty face. " If your so good at this then what am I good at." She said as she suddenly shoved the rest of her cookie into Valentinus mouth closing her eyes as she did so. " Making christmas decor appear out of thin air isn't the correct answer sir. There fore eat this cookie." She said trying to play with him. Holly laughed as she did so grinning at him. " Maybe my skill set is keeping cupid on his toes. " She said as she laughed and smiled peering up into Valentinus eyes. "I've never met Cupid but I hope you will always be my Cupid. Your the only love god I want." She said as she smiled.

Silvermist froze in place as Faythe kissed him suddenly. He felt a slight blush on his cheeks as he smiled warmly watching her walk away. " Good-d night Faythe." He whispered as he touched his face. He had never been kissed before. He smiled as he turned hearing Holly in the kitchen.Silvermist couldn't help but laugh as he watched Holly shove the cookie in Valentinus mouth. He was happy to see the two of them back to their old selves. Silvermist turned as headed to the table where he was working on decoration. He went back to working on decorations for the hospital not wanting to be in their way. He hoped that Faythe enjoyed her night and he would always remember it and the star she chose. The kiss was still on his mind as he sat there hard at work. All he could do was smile as he thought about the evening. He honestly didn't think the evening could get any better than what had already occurred.

It was Valentinus' turn to blush,"W-well that would be quite a nice tradition to have with you." he replied and ran his fingers through his pink hair. "I love my pink hair too." he said and smiled, "I know, but its job is to make people smile so you must eat it in order for it to do its job." Valentinus explained softly. When she took a bite of the cookie, he waited for her reaction and let out a sigh of relief when she started to laugh and tell him her thoughts on the cookie.

"You really think so eh?" he said and smiled, "Well good, This means I'll have to make more that way we have enough for the hospital tomorrow. I'm glad you like them so much Holly." he commented and began to work on baking some more cookies so that they would have plenty for the hospital. "Well I think you're good at-" Valentinus wasn't able to finish his thought because he had a piece of cookie shoved into his mouth. Holly was right though, they were perfect! Not bad Val, not bad at all. he thought to himself and blushed brightly at her words. When he finished the cookie piece, Valentinus looked down at Holly and smiled softly. "Only want me huh?" he asked.

Faythe was still surprised that she had kissed Silvermist. It felt right though. Getting dressed for bed, she looked out the window at their star and smiled before closing the curtains and getting into bed. She lay there for a long time just thinking about Sivermist and the kiss she had surprised him with, eventually she did fall to sleep though with a smile on her face.

Holly smiled as she leaned up and kissed Valentinus on the cheek goodnight. " awe Jingle bells fine you win this time. I'll see you tomorrow then." Holly said as she hugged him back before turning and walking to find Silvermist. She smiled as she watched him work on decorations. She could tell that something delightful had happen by the look on his face. It made Holly only smile more as she walked up behind him and hugged him wrapping her arms around his neck. " Come on Silvermist let's go home. I don't' know about you but I'm ready to dream of sugar plums." She said as Silvermist chuckled with her and nodded. In a bright flash they where gone.

Holly laughed as she found herself in her cabin once again. " It's nice to be back. " She said as she headed up to her room. Holly smiled as she thought about the day laying in her warm and cozy bed. She turned out her light and feel asleep dreaming of Valentinus and his cookies.

Silvermist stayed up for a while as he cleaned the cabin and enjoyed some of the ginger bread cookies. He looked around at the piles sure he didn't want to know why they where there and a large tube of frosting. He walked up to Holly's room and made sure she was tucked in before closing the door and shifting back into his deer form. He curled up near the fire place and fell asleep dreaming about his walk with Faythe and their star.

Silvermist woke about noon as he looked around not seeing any sings of Holly. He stood and stretched as he walked up the stairs to her room. He looked at the door as he look down seeing he was in his deer form. In a matter of moments he was in his human form as he open the door and peered in seeing HollyBell still fast asleep. He could tell she was out cold and knew there was no need to try and wake her. He laughed as he walked out to the kitchen and started to fix them some lunch. Silvermist took the time to write Faythe and Valentinus a letter explaining that HollyBell was still asleep. And it looked to be awhile before she would wake up and not to worry about them.

The children had started waking up and so had Faythe. She led them down to the table where she had them sit quietly so that they wouldn't wake up Valentinus and started to make them a nice breakfast. She knew Valentinus would be hungry too so she was going to make sure to save him some breakfast as well. Faythe smiled as she thought about Silvermist, their star, and the kiss she had surprised him with. She wondered if she would see him again today, but it was too early right now so he and Holly were probably still sleeping. "Sir Cupid, are you proud of your son? He has made some friends and I think he knows what Love truly is now." she said quietly as she continued making the breakfast for the children. "I hope you are all hungry." she said and started to serve each child their food.

Valentinus woke up to the smell of food and rubbed his eyes as he sat up. "Oh, good morning everyone." he said and walked over to the table where he sat beside Faythe who had already set his plate on the table. "I must have been much more tired than I thought. I hope everyone slept well. Oh, Holly and I will be out today. I promised to go with her to the hospital today to see what I could do to help." Valentinus explained and took a few bites of his food. He was looking forward to seeing Holly today and hoped he could help out somehow in the hospital.

[/COLOR]Holly woke as she smelt something yummy. She slowly got up following the smell of the tantalizing smell. Before she knew it she was at the kitchen island sitting on one of the stools with fork and knife in hand. She open her eyes wide as Silvermist put down a plate of pancakes for her with fresh fruit on them. This made Holly smile as she started to dig into her stack of pancakes. She paused however as she frowned and looked at him lifting one p with her knife. She sighed as she looked up at Silvermist. " They aren't like Valentinus treats. I miss how yummy his are." She said as she gave the pouty face.

"Oh so my cooking and baking isn't good enough for you anymore?" Silvermist said as he looked at her. " Well excuse me!" he said as he turned his nose to the air. "Huph!" He said purposely being over dramatic as he heard the beautiful laughter he was aiming to get out of her. He laughed along with her as he smiled looking to her. "I have you know I have been cooking and baking long before him my treats are good for a non love god! We can't all be love gods you know!" He said as Holly got up and hugged him. He watched her leave and come back after a while. She had changed and washed herself looking a pretty as ever. He smiled as she came back and finished off her food.

Silvermist finished his own food and cleaned up along with Holly. He helped holly fix baskets for everyone at the hospital with treats blankets, clothing and even some stuff animals. Holly had managed to send a note to her father about the hospital and he had gotten supplies for the hospital so she could make them baskets. Her father had also dropped her off something special to help. SIlvermist walked outside as he saw a red slay a miniature version of Santa's sleigh. He sighed as he stood there for a moment then felt a ring of jingle bells being placed around his neck as he laughed. "Oh so all I'm good for is pulling I see." He said as he transformed into his deer form and let Holly hook him up.

Holly was amazing with all the things her father had sent including some helpers to help fix up the hospital. The two elves where all laughs and giggles as they helped Holly fill the sleigh and noticed a big change in her. Once everything was ready she snapped the reigns gently letting Silvermist know she was ready to go when he was. She smiled happy for the snow because it made everything much easier. The people of the town looked amazed see her and the elves as they drove through the town in the red sleigh with bells and garland on it. She stopped just outside Valentinus's shop.

When he was done, Valentinus stood up and washed his plate then took out the cookies he had placed in the fridge. He grabbed some cookie boxes, and carefully started placing the cookies in the boxes. Checking the time, he decided to bake some fudge brownies. He made a lot of them and when they were done, he drizzled some melted white chocolate over them, then started to carefully put them in other boxes. "I hope this is enough, I don't think making a cake would be good...oh cupcakes!" he remembered and looked through the book for some cupcake recipes. He decided on making some triple chocolate cupcakes and added chocolate chips into the batter as well.

Faythe watched him and smiled, then noticed a letter and opened it, it was from Silvermist. "Holly and Silvermist will be here shortly. It seems little Holly is still sleeping so don't rush, take your time." Faythe explained as she set the letter to the side and finished her food. When the children had all finished, she said that they could go out to play but they had to return before dark. "I will go and look for all of you if you do not return." she warned and took the empty dishes to the sink where she started to wash them. "Oh, everything smells wonderful Valentinus, I am sure the people are going to love them." she said honestly. When she had finished, she helped him with the cupcakes and labeled the boxes so that they knew what was in which box.

Valentinus heard bells and panicked. "Oh no they're here and the cupcakes aren't done yet! G-go and stall for me please Faythe." he begged. Faythe smiled and nodded. She walked over to the door and opened it, she was surprised when she saw Silvermist and smiled. "He will be right out, he is still baking some cupcakes. They should be ready in a few minutes." she said and looked at the sleigh. "Well now, what a nice way to make an entrance Holly." she said and smiled. Faythe looked back at Silvermist and walked over to him, petting him gently. "You look so adorable right now Sir Silvermist." she commented.

Silvermist nuzzled Faythe as she made a pose for her trying to look as majestic as he could for her. He held his head high and looked proud and rather handsome. He smiled as best as he could in his deer. " You look beautiful." He said as he looked at her. " Holly always knows how to make a entrance. She is unforgettable just like you. "He said as he shook his fur and tried to wait for Valentinus.

Holly smiled as she wached Faythe and Silvermist. " I hope that we weren't to early. Sorry I slept in." She said as she smiled and looked up seeing some snow starting to fall. " Well at lest we don't have to worry about the snow melting anytime snow. I thought with all the snow the sled would be perfect for today!" She said softly as she laughed happily.

Faythe giggled and kissed his forehead, "Such a gentleman as always I see." she said and fixed her hair. She always felt beautiful whenever Silvermist called her that. When he said she was unforgettable, her face was as red as a red Christmas ornament. "You are such a sweet man, Sir Silvermist." Faythe said and ran her fingers through his soft fur.

"I'm here!" Valentinus called as he walked out with various box containing all sorts of sweets. "I've got cookies of many types, brownies and even cupcakes!" he said and was surprised to see a sleigh outside his shop. "Hello Silvermist, Holly." he said to them both and smirked, seeing the blush on Faythe's face. "What happened here while I was gone?" he asked.

Faythe looked over at Valentinus and shook her head, "Sir Silvermist is just being as sweet as ever is all." she answered and continued to run her fingers through his fur before walking over to Valentinus and helping him put the boxes in the sleigh. He had made a lot of things which meant that the kitchen was probably a mess. She didn't mind, it would give her something to do while they were gone.
