"i know." Belle smiled up at him then blinked as Clint headed inside to think. "Can we go on that date know?" she asked breathing in his scent relaxing more.

Steve blinked a little but smiled."sure,but im gonna have to change first"

"Can I come with you?" Belle clung to his hand not wanting to be by herself. "Please." she added with a half smile.

Belle followed him to his room and waited on his bed while he changed on in the bathrooms. She stared at his hand noticing how they shook with a breath she started to cry hiccuping softly.

STve soon came back out and frowned at her."Oh Belle",he went to her and sat besde her ,wrapping his large muscular arms around her ,he kissed the side of her head

Belle collapsed against Steve sobbing into his shoulder. She clung to his shirt "I don't know why I'm crying." she sniffled trying to calm her sobbing. "I'm a mess."

Steve smiled as he moved her into his lap."youve just been through a tramadic thing Belle,most people would be",he said wondering if Clint was okay after seeing Kiki."on top of that,someone we know had a part of it..."

Belle nodded melting against him always amazed how being in his arms made her feel safe. 'I love you Steve." she squeezed his hand gentle.

Clint was tearing apart bulls-eyes face clenched and eyes unfocused. Bruce was watching him worried about the man but also worried the man would send an arrow at him if he interrupted.

Clint smiled softly."I love you too",he said softly.Eyeing the box on his dresser.

"What is it Steve?" Belle pulled away to follow his gaze. "what's that?" she asked blinking a little.

Steve blushed."nothing i was going to giveit to you on our date but with eveyrting thats hapened it may be bad timing"

Kiki sighed as she and the soider got to a abandoned base.She sighed softly rubbing her head.The man with the bow and arrow.The way he ahd looked at her.

"No it's fine." Belle stood and went to go get the box. "Your present will have to wait till I get to my apartment." she went to pick the box up.

Steve jumped up and went over to th box."in that caase i should hold onto it",he was grinning."don't wnat you peaking at it"

Belle pouted and half glared at Steve. "Come on Steve you can't just say it's a present then not give it to me." she whined. "We can just go to my apartment now!"

Stve nodded."alright,lets go and we can open it there",he said softly

Belle lead the way sticking close to Steve her hand clenching his very tightly. "Thank goodness it's close."

Steve followed ,keeping his guard up."yeha",he said softly

Belle stood before her door and opened it once she was sure no one was there. "Stay here and no peeking." she finished the last touches and returned. "Alright Steve." she was wearing a red dress that fell to her ankles with short sleeves. "What do you think?" she smiled and lead the way to the kitchen where a candle lit dinner sat waiting. "I was thinking we could eat and then dance a little."

Belle blushed softly and lead him to the table. "Eat up Steve." she sat down and dug in squeezing him gentle.

Steve smiled as he sat."you eat up too",he said taking a bite."its good"

Belle smiled and dug in half holding his hand. When she finished she put the dishes in the sink for later "what do you think of your present so far?"

Steve smirked.' so far i love it",he said getting up and was getting ready to dance with her

Belle offered her hand after she turned on an older song something he would have grown up listening to. "It took me weeks to find that cd." she admitted. "But it was worth it."
