"Well you've just never had an enchanting dragon as a friend before." Balthier answered and smirked, "It's a love-hate relationship we have with you both. We may not get along all the time but that doesn't mean I'm going to let someone do things to you. We villains have to stick together and rule the school. Show everyone what real fashion looks like." he explained and laughed softly. "We're all rude, it's okay Blondie, I forgive you." Balthier answered and raised an eyebrow. "The game?" he repeated and smirked, "Well alright, only because you said so, I better hear my name from my two cheerleaders then." he teased.
Jinx blushed when she saw Ezale walk over to her. "They were very mean, and they wouldn't let me sit with Snow and I couldn't do anything." Jinx said sadly and hugged him. "I'm so glad that they didn't do anything to you, I am not sure what I would do. Possibly hurt them...yes I would hurt them a lot." she said and smiled up at Ezale. There was no way that Merrick could ever compete against him for her heart. "Go and have fun, I'll be watching you and cheering for you." Jinx promised as she lt go of him so that he could go and play the game. |
Snow smiled as she laughed honestly and blushed softly she heard him. She smiled from ear to ear even covered in treats. " Alright then. But you have to earn your cheers. We don't cheer for just anyone." She said in a playful tone as she smiled at him. " Enchanting Dragon huh? I thought it was suppose to be the enchanting lady and the dashing dragon or cunning." She said in a playful tone as she smiled. " Well my Enchanting dragon you better go have some fun and show everyone how enchanting you can be. Besides you get to knock Ezale and the others around. It looks like your going to be on the team opposite Merrick and some of the pros. If you knock a few of them around I'll take you out to dinner for whatever and where ever you like." She said as she smiled and looked over to Jinx smiling looking so happy.
Ezale looked to Jinx as he leaned over and hugged her back suddenly. "Thank you for being wonderful." He said as he let her go and smiled. " Marrick huh? That slim ball? Oh I'm going to wreck that pretty face of his. No one makes a move on my enchanting lady and gets away with it. " He said looking at her. " That slim ball has been near you? Oh he's going to pay." Ezale said a wicked grin appearing on his face as he turned looking right at Marrick. " Here Marrick here Marrick. " He said as his eyes looked rather scary. He held one of the balls in his hand as he threw it up and down waiting for the bell to ring so the game could begin. As soon as he hard the bell Ezale threw the ball as hard as he could nailing Marrick in the face with the ball. Everyone gasped never seeing Marrick lose like that. "opps " He said as he ran past Marrick's motionless body. The others on the team looked scarred as Ezale started to move at great speed and then leaped from place to place not able to touch him. "You'll have to do better than that! " He yelled as he moved past them. " Hey dragon want to play chew toy? " He yelled know that the dragon would be the only one who could hit the metal ball into the goal across the field without it being intercepted. He ran until he hit the middle way point and threw the metal ball up in the air for the dragon to hit. " Pretend it's your least favorite person and hit it as hard as you can!" He said. |
Balthier blinked in surprise, "Earn your cheers?" he repeated and nodded. "Very well then, I will do my best to earn them." he answered. Balthier chuckled and shrugged, "You're the one that told my sister I was enchanting, I'm just saying what I was told. You can call me anything you like." he said and looked down where the game was to take place. "Aww I don't want to hurt the weasel, but I guess I can knock everyone else around like the toys they are." he started and gave Snow a lady killer smirk, "Well now, is that a date I hear?" he asked and nodded. "You have yourself a deal, Lady Snow. I will see you after the game." Balthier said and looked at Ezale. "Come on Weasel, let's go show them what we can do." he said
Jinx nodded, "Yes, he took me for a walk while you were sleeping. He said he was envious of you but that he was going to try to win me over. I guess he doesn't want me near you." she answered sadly, but she was happy to hear how Ezale talked about her and how much he seemed to care about her. "Good luck on the game, to both of you. I am sure you both will do a wonderful job!" Jinx said and gasped when she saw what Ezale did. Balthier however was laughing loudly with a happy look on his face. When he saw what Ezale had done, Balthier couldn't help help but laugh. "Wow! I can't believe you did that! Oh that was perfect!" he said as he tried to stop laughing, shaking his head. Once he had calmed down, he jumped off and turned into a dragon once again, following Ezale close behind and tossing people away with his tail if they got too close. When Ezale asked if he wanted to play, he flew higher and narrowed his eyes at the ball, picturing Bunny and hit it as hard as he could with his tail, throwing it straight through the hoop easily. |
Ezale laughed as he leaped into the air avoiding getting hit by the other teams ball. " Crap I'd say their mad." He said as two large boy's charged right for him one on each side going to crush him in between themselves. "Have you met your brother?" He asked the one running at him head on. He waited and then suddenly just stepped to the side as the two boys collided with one another. "Now you have." He said saw the metal ball being thrown back into the ring. He started to run at his full pace right at Marrick who had managed to hobble onto the filed. He had a evil grin on his face as he leaped using Marrick as a later catching the ball in mid air as he started to fall and landed on the shoulders of Marricks other team members. Ezale used them like steps as he flipped of their back and ran to the middle of the field throwing the ball back in the air for the Dragon. " Here you go! " He said said as he noticed their teammates cheering them on and starting to help protect the pair from the other team.
Snow blushed as she heard him and looked to Jinx. " I'm confused I didn't say date. "She said but smiled happily. She then cheered loudly as she watched to two. " Go Balthier!!! Come on Ezale you guys can do it!!!" She yelled out as she turned and hugged Jinx so happy that they guys where doing so well. She jumped up and down from her excitement along with the rest of the people in the bleachers. She cringed though as she saw Ezale used Marrick as a latter. The guy looked like he was barely standing as it was. She had to give him credit he did come back out to the filed . |
Balthier kept his eyes on Ezale and the ball as he followed him close behind. He hated to admit it, but he was actually enjoying himself though he knew he was going to be exhausted right after this. He watched Ezale joke around as was usual and then lost the ball. Where was the ball?! Quickly, Balthier looked around and noticed it was going towards the other hoop but Ezale was already chasing after it thankfully. Balthier flew towards the ball as it was tossed into the air and he threw it into the correct ring with ease. If he was correct, they were winning this and from the cheering he was hearing, he wasn't wrong.
Jinx watched with wide eyes as both Balthier and Ezale worked together to score the points. "Yeah! Go you guys! Come on Balthier! Come on Ezale! Keep it up you two!" she cheered happily and hugged Snow happily. This was so exciting! She hoped that Balthier stayed on the team, it was a lot of fun to watch him play and he looked to be enjoying himself which was a good sign that he would most likely stay. When Balthier scored, Jinxed cheered him on happily. |
Ezale cheered as he watched Balthier. "That's my dragon!" He said as he laughed and leapped in the air missing two guys charging at him. He looked down as he laughed." Huh I think their trying to hurt me now." He said as he quickly leaped away from the others charging him. Ezale looked up as he saw the metal ball going the other way. " Hey Merrick has the ball why don't you go make him your chew toy!" Ezale said as he ran trying to protect Prince Charming. Ezale leaped to the Prince's aid slamming the player that was about to tackle him to the ground. The other player had no idea what had happen as the Prince started at Ezale and Balthier in wonder.
Snow was happy as she watched Ezale and looked to Jinx. " Thank you for everything. " She said softly as she watched the guys. " I think they have this in the bag." She said as she saw Merrick catch the metal ball turning pale. " Oh I don't think he meant to get that ball. He is going to be hurting for the next few days. What happen?" She asked looking to Jinx. " He is a pretty good guy why is Ezale out for blood with him?" |
Balthier looked once again at Ezale and roared when two guys tried to charge at Ezale. With a swift swing of his tail, he knocked them all the way across the field and looked over at Merrick when Ezale mentioned that he had the ball. Quickly, he started to fly towards where Merrick was and roared as he got closer. Balthier wasn't sure if fire was allowed so used his talons to grab at Merrick and have him drop the ball for Ezale to pick up. He shook Merrick until the ball was dropped, quickly, Balthier let Merrick go, letting him fall to the ground and went after the ball but he hoped that Ezale would get it before anyone else did.
Jinx smiled as she watched and looked at Snow, "Merrick wants to win me over. He was complimenting me and taking me on a walk. He said he was envious of Ezale." Jinx answered honestly. "I guess Merrick doesn't want me to be with Ezale, but Ezale already has my heart even though he doesn't know it. He is a very sweet person." she added and blushed as she thought of Ezale. |
Ezale watched as he ran at full speed catching the ball. He quickly moved back to the spot in the field where he had first thrown the ball and threw it up again hoping that Balthier could get it in time and sent it through the hoop. Ezale however heard a whistle as the Blue Fairy came on the field along with the nurse. The game had been called off due to so many injuries. The blue Fairy however looked really happy and so did everyone else. Everyone stood and screamed cheering for them as Prince Charming came over and high five him and looked up to Balthier. " You two are incredible. Hey Balthier how do you feel about being on varsity with Ezale and me? We could really use you guys on our team. I think Marrick has the other team under control.
Aleen cheered loudly for Balthier as she laughed enjoying watching him. She stood as Bunny and the others left as she made her way to the filed standing beside Prince Charming. " You really where great Dragon. "She said to him giving him a enchanting smile. " Bunny wont be at the party tonight if you and the others would like to come it will be at the castle here." She said as she smiled innocently. Snow was so excited till she saw Aleen appear and start to talk to Balthier. She watched not liking how close the girl was to Ezale or Balthier. " Come on Jinx let's go congratulate them!" She said turning and smiling to her as she lead the way out to the field. " Ezale loves sweets so you know. Maybe one night you and I will make sweets for the guys does that sound like fun?" She asked wondering if that was something Jinx would like to do. |
Balthier flew as fast as he could towards the ball but stopped when he heard a whistle. Turning, he saw that the game was over. He lowered himself onto the field and turned back to his human form. "Varsity?" he repeated and was breathing heavily, he was tired and the fact that he had been in his dragon form for so long really drained a lot of energy and strength from him. "I uhh...well if I have to choose between you Merrick, I'll choose you." he said softly and stared at Aleen. "Ohh right the party, I forgot. Look I uhh...I don't think I'll be attending any parties unless the others really want to go." he explained honestly and lay down on the grass to steady his breathing.
Jinx was really happy, they both had done very well for their first game. "That was amazing!" she said and nodded, following Snow out to the field. "Oh that sounds like a lot of fun! Balthier has a soft spot for brownies." Jinx informed and smiled. "I am sure they would really like some freshly baked treats after a busy day or long game." she commented. |
Snow ran over to Balthier to see if he was ok. She was about to bend down and check on him when Aleen had beat her. Snow kept quiets as she watched Aleen take a cool cloth one of the water boys had brought her and run it across Balthier's face. Snow didn't understand why it slightly hurt her to watch. She hadn't noticed she had dug her nails into her palm from holding her hands so tightly. Small drops of blood had started to drip from her palms as she stood there trying to be polite. She shifted her eyes as she saw Ezale hit the ground tired as well. She smiled softly knowing he was happy though and that is what mattered.
"Oh dear you look so tired here let me help. " Aleen said as she wiped his face off with a cool rag. One of the water boys brought over two bottles of energy juice for Balthier and Ezale. " Here drink this and it will give you back your energy. And that's alright I understand. However I did promise you a meal I hope that you'll let me at least do that it is tradition." She said as she stood and looked to Jinx. " I'm sorry I wasn't trying to hold you earlier I promise. And Lady Snow I'm very sorry for the others. I was in shocked. I didn't think Bunny and the others where that mean. I do promise to have a word with them and I believe I have a idea for a punishment for them. I think they should be made to be the school's mascots and have to clean up all the messes that you normally do. May I fix your outfit please. I am sorry for not standing up or saying anything until now. I was just so upset with them. But I had promised to watch Balthier and that is why I went to my seat. I honestly don't know what to think right now. I am truly sorry and I will try my best to make it up to you and Jinx both. " She said honestly as she held out her hand and a rainbow light appeared around Snow as her dress was back to normal. " There all better at lest there. I believe Bunny owes you a formal apology I will have to speak to her on that after I go check on my brother. I'm afraid he got made to look like a child out here today. " As she laughed softly along with her other brother. " It's honestly refreshing he get's such a big ego from being the best on the team or that's what he feels. I'll go handle his ego." She said softly as she bowed and turned looking at Balthier . " I expect to see you in the spa area soon so you can tell me where you wish to eat from. " She said as she smiled and turned to leave. Ezale took the juice as he loved it and started to feel better almost instantly. He was tired and needed a bath. The more juice he drunk the more he improved. " Wow it really does restore your energy." He said as he laughed looking at it. " I thought only girls and boozes could do that. " He said as he looked to Balthier. " A date already from two girls wow." He said as he looked up and saw Jinx. He smiled at her giving her a smoldering look. " So how did I do? Am I acceptable to be seen on your arm at lest for tonight? " He asked hoping that she wasn't going to choose Marrick. |
Balthier blinked when he felt something cold on his face. At first he thought it could be Snow but then he noticed it was Aleen who was wiping his face with a cool rag. "I'm exhausted. Being a dragon isn't easy." he said and thanked the water boy for the bottle of juice. Sitting up, Bathier downed the juice quickly and sighed. A meal with her too? Two dates already? What the heck? This was new to him and he didn't know what to do, how was he going to go to both? Did he want to? No, he just wanted to go on a date with the lovely Snow, but he wasn't one to break traditions. Traditions were sacred. He looked over at Jinx, "I'm okay. Go now to Ezale, I'm sure he'd love to see his favorite cheerleader." he said and looked Aleen. He only nodded but he wasn't sure he'd go. Looking at Snow, he managed to stand and frowned when he saw the blood. "What did you do to your hands?" Balthier asked.
Jinx nodded and walked over to where Ezale was. Jinx blushed at the look she received from him and smiled back at him. "You did an amazing job Ezale, really. I enjoyed watching both you and my brother!" she chimed and giggled. Nodding, Jinx looked at him sweetly. "Of course you are. I wouldn't choose anyone else." she admitted nervously. |
Snow looked down at her hand as she saw the blood opening up her hand as she saw where her nails had dug into her palm. "huh I guess I better be more careful with these." She said as she smiled not really wanting him to know it upset her to see Aleen so close to him. "It's nothing I'm just glad you are alright. You did a amazing job!" She said as she smiled and laughed softly looking over at Ezale and Jinx. " I do believed I promise you a treat after the game. Would you like to go to one of the desert shops in town I promise no walking or flying." She said holding her hand up ready to use her magic. And I promise I won make you sick like someone I know." She said cutting her eyes to Ezale.
"Hey I got you there in one peice and alive!" He snapped back at Snow. " Look we all can't be perfect like you can. " He said to her not going to let her get the best of him. He smiled again at Jinx as he suddenly hugged her. Those where the sweetest words anyone had said to him. "Good because it will be more than his face if he comes near you again." He said meaning it. |
Balthier smirked, "Thanks. I always get this way after being a dragon. It's a regular side effect." he explained and ran his hands through his hair, "Well I have to admit it was actually a fun game, especially when weasel hit Merrick with the metal ball! Oh that was priceless!" Balthier said. "Yes you did Snow, and yes I would. I want more of the treat you had on your face, it was delicious." he said and laughed at what she was implying. Ezale made people sick when he teleported them? Well it probably meant he needed more practice in it.
Jinx giggled softly when she saw the way Ezale and Snow behaved with each other. Looking at her brother, she was glad to see that he was doing fine. He was probably happy that Snow was talking to him now. "Oh!" she gasped in surprise when she felt Ezale hug her. Her face was the color of a tomato and in order to hide her face from everyone, she hugged Ezale back and buried her face in his chest which only added to the color on her face. Jeez this was bad. "I don't want him near me." Jinx said softly and peaked up at Ezale nervously. |
Snow smiled as she heard Balthier. “More of the treat you had on your face it was delicious.” She repeated as she paused thinking of what she could give him. She gave him a lovely smile then gently caressed his cheek and leaned in kissing him. She pulled away with a wicked grin on her lips as she gently lifted up his chin with one finger looking as if she was ready to seduce him.
“No!” Ezale yelled out as he watched Snow just suddenly kiss Balthier. He turned read as he looked away. “ Stop staring at him like that! Keep this up and I’m telling mom your up to her old ways of seducing men! You aren’t suppose to just kiss any guy! “ He said as he looked down to Jinx as tried to shelter her from Snow and Balthier. “ I’m sorry I just can’t take her any where. “ He said softly he had turned beat red from snow’s sudden action and having Jinx in his arms. “I promise he wont be near you.” Ezale said meaning it as he gently lifted up her face and smiled at her. “ You’re the most beautiful jewel I’ve ever seen I’m not letting you go without a fight.” He said as kissed the tip of her nose. Then gave her a devilish smile. |
Balthier did not expect the kiss he had received. He looked at her in shock at what she had just done and put his fingers to his lips. "W-well.." he started but he was speechless. What did one say after being surprised like this? He heard what Ezale said and frowned, she was just trying to seduce him was she? "I...I need to go shower and get dressed. Excuse me." he said and started to walk back to his and Ezale's room. No one had ever kissed him and it seemed the first kiss he got wasn't even sincere. He had to admit though, that wicked grin sent his heart into overdrive.
Jinx blinked and listened to Ezale, apparently Snow had kissed her brother but in a bad way. Oh dear...poor Balthier. Jinx thought to herself and blushed when she felt Ezale lift up her face to kiss her nose, making her smile a beautiful smile exposing her pearly white teeth. His sweet words only made her blush even more. "You sir, are the sweetest man I have ever met." she said, meaning every word. That devilish smile made her heart flutter in his chest. "Y-you know. If there is a party today...m-maybe we could go together?" she asked. "If I were to go alone with my brother I fear that maybe Merrick would try to do something again." she admitted with a frown. |
Snow turned as she watched Balthier leave. Snow looked hurt and confused as she stood there not sure what had happen. " I-I'm sorry I wasn't trying to upset you." She called out and looked down at the ground as she cut her eyes to Ezale. Her eyes held tears in them as her eyes showed blood red. " It's all your fault SNAKE! Great thank you now he thinks I'm no better than the others here! " She said as she looked at Ezale. " Your not going any where but to fix what you just did. I didn't seduce him and it's not funny to kid around like that!" She said as she crossed her arms over her chest as she narrowed her eyes at him. " Besides if someone had seduce him he wouldn't have known. But I wouldn't expect him nor Jinx here to know that. They haven't been out in the world like we have. So no more jokes Snake! Go fix what you did or I'll have a snake magic mirror. " She said as she stared at him.
Ezale looked away from Jinx as he watched Balthier leave and looked at Snow. " I-I was only joking..It was just a joke. And...you are really serious aren't you. Not about the mirror but that I screwed up." Ezale looked to Jinx as he hung his head. " Maybe you should come with me. I don't want your brother thinking Snow was using magic on him. I thought you two would know it was a joke. I guess this what I get for joking all the time. "He said frowning as he smiled suddenly looking to Jinx gently caressing her face. "As for the other of course there isn't another girl I'd rather be with. Your wickedly hot you know. Why don't we go catch your brother and try to stop him. " Ezale tried to catch up to him. " Dragon clam down and come back! It's my fault I was only joking! Snow didn't use any magic on you and she was trying to seduce you. Believe it or not that kiss was real!" He said as he froze hearing laughter and Bunny's voice. " Oh crap Snow is going to kill me. I think I just made this worse." He said as he turned and saw Bunny and her gang. "So Snow is using her dark magic on the dragon is she? I guess we'll have to let Aleen know. Thank you Snake." She said as she laughed and Kissed his cheek as she looked at Jinx. " Awe such a good boy maybe I'll add him to my collection." She said making sure the Jinx saw what she did. " Don't worry Jinxy you can keep him for now." She said as she suddenly vanished in a bright pink light. Bunny appeared before Aleen as she informed her of what had happen and then vanished. Aleen frowned hearing what Bunny had said. She hurried to find Balthier seeing him heading to the locker room. " Wait please!" She said as she gently placed her hand on his shoulder. " I'm sorry but are you sure that Snow tried to use magic on you? Some of the girls said that they over heard Ezale say Snow tried to seduce you. I find it a little hard to believe. Snow is gifted with magic and for a spell like this to fail would be beneath her. I'm pretty sure she wasn't using a spell on you Balthier. Because if she was you wouldn't know and you would do anything she asked without question like this." Aleen said as she held her hand out and blew a kiss at him a red heart appeared then hit him in the face. Her enchantment had worked. " Balthier how do you feel dear?" She said seeing if her spell had worked and if all he remembered was being in love with her. |
Jinx nodded, "Well it's not very funny but I know you meant no harm by it Ezale. I'm sure that once you explain to my brother what happened, he'll forgive you." she said and pouted cutely. "No more frowning from you, you look best smiling." she commented and blushed as bright as a cherry when he caressed her face and made his comment. "Y-you really think so?" she asked and snapped out of her trance. "Oh right! Y-yes we should go and do that!" she agreed. Taking his hand, Jinx followed Ezale to try and catch Balthier. "Brother stop! Please hear Ezale out!" she called out. It didn't seem to be working though. Jinx turned when she heard a laugh and narrowed her yellow eyes when she saw Bunny standing there. Jinx didn't say anything, she had no chance to say anything but now she was afraid, it was crystal clear Bunny was after Ezale.
Balthier heard everyone but ignored them all and headed to the locker room to shower and get dressed. Hearing Aleen, he groaned and turned, glaring at her. "What the heck do YOU want!" he hissed. Don't touch me!" he warned and backed away from her. "Look I don't know if she did or didn't but I'm not believing anything you or anyone else says. If blondie wants to tell me the truth, I'll listen to her." Balthier answered and narrowed his eyes, sensing that something bad was going on. Before he could do or say anything though, he found himself staring at Aleen and finding her attractive. "How do I feel?" he repeated and shrugged. "I feel fine, was I sick or something?" he asked and kissed her softly. |
Aleen giggled softly as she felt Balthier's kiss. "I'm glad to see you seem better. We thought you where feeling a little under the weather was all." She said as she smiled and kissed him back smiling. " You did a wonderful job today. If you would like to take a shower and get dress I'll be happy to take you anywhere you like for your celebratory dinner as promised. I hope your up to the ball tonight at the castle. But if not just spending time with you will work." She said in her enchanting voice as she smiled warmly at him. " Go enjoy your shower and take your time I'll be a good girl and wait here for you. It's the least I can do." She said smiling at him. "Besides I better go check on my brother you and Ezale did do a number on him today. "
Ezale jumped back and made a very unpleasant face. " Uhh don't touch me ever!" He said trying wipe his face off where Bunny touched him. " Oh please where is acid when you need it." He said turning to look at Jinx. " Please tell me she didn't leave any marks on me! That women just ehhhh!!!" He said shuttering as he thought about Bunny touching him. "Promise me you will never hang out with that uhhhh girl!" He said still shuttering from the thought of her touching her. "The only person I'm letting touch me is you." He said to Jinx as he wrapped his arms around her in a protective manner. " Why don't we wait until your brother comes out of there. No offense but I don't want to be near Bunny that girl creeps me out. I'd rather take on Snow's mirror. At lest it has a heart." |
Balthier ran his fingers through her hair. "Thank-you, I tried my best. Yes I'll go shower and get dressed, then we can go have ourselves that dinner that you did promise." he started. "As for the ball...well I don't really like parties but I believe my sister might be attending and as her older brother I want to make sure she's okay. Besides, I'm sure you want to go too, and I want to take you there." he explained then turned away and walked into the locker rooms to shower. He wasn't a fan of parties but he knew Jinx was and if she was going, then he was going to go too. He had to make sure no one tried anything because they would regret it.
Jinx frowned and shook her head. "No marks Ezale." she answered and then giggled. "I don't like her either, I'll have to keep her away from you because I don't want another girl touching you, I get very jealous and it's not pretty what can happen when I get jealous." she warned. Standing on her tiptoes, Jinx kissed his cheek and blushed as she stared down at the ground. "I promise never to hang out with her." Jinx promised and nervously looked up at him with her yellow eyes. "Understandable, we can wait out here then. I'm sure he won't take too long." she answered. |
Aleen smiled warmly as she heard him. " Of course. " She said as she walked to where her poor brother was. " Oh my." She said softly as she held a ice pack to his face as she frowned looking at him. " Maybe you should have a word with Bunny. I think what she did rubbed the girl you have your eyes on the wrong way." She said very softly as she kissed his forehead healing his wounds. "There brother you should feel much better. Now please shower and get ready." She said as she smiled looking quiet pleased with herself.
Ezale smiled widely hearing what she said and from her kiss. "I'm not going to lie I like the fact your jealous. I also love the fact you just kissed me. " He said softly to her as he smiled at her. " I have to admit normally I'm the one chasing the girls. Your the first to chase me." He said at her as he gently caressed her cheek. " No offense but I would rather be a statue than be near that girl." He said as he shuttered at the thought of her. "Besides I have a think for beautiful deadly women. She had planned on following them to where Balthier and apologize after Ezale explained himself. She felt it might mean more if he heard it from her as well and not just Ezale. She looked to the ground as she stood there. She felt out of place once again. |
Finishing up his shower, Balthier dried off and got dressed before walking out of the locker rooms to see his sister and Ezale getting friendly with each other. He had to admit that it looked really cute to see her so happy with him and Ezale did take very good care of his sister so he couldn't complain.
Jinx blushed and leaned into his gentle touch. "Well I feel that I should be the only one allowed to kiss you." she answered and pouted cutely. He was right, she was chasing him and it was new to her too. "I don't chase men, but you are worth chasing. You have always been kind to me so I have no reason to push you away from me." she explained. When she saw her brother out of the corner of her eye, Jinx quickly turned to look at him and blushed even more. "Balthier! Umm...E-Ezale has something to tell you so we thought we would wait for you out here." she explained, clearly embarrassed that her brother had seen her kiss Ezale. "Oh really?" Balthier asked and looked at Ezale. "Alright then weasel, what is it you want to tell me?" he asked and noticed Snow was there too. |
Aleen smiled as she saw Jinx and Ezale then saw Balthier. " Oh there you are. So have you chosen where to eat? " She asked in a very enchanting voice as she walked up to Balthier smiling and looking to Ezale and Jinx." I hope to see you at the ball tonight. You know if you want anything special for the ball just head to the enchanted dress and accessory shop. It might really be fun just to check it out." She said very friendly voice as she smiled warmly. " Besides Jinx if you like I'll be happy to go with you and you could have fun dressing Ezale. I'm sure for you he would pose for you." She said warmly as she smiled and laughed softly.
Ezale smiled as he heard Aleen. " You know that might be fun. I hear that there one of the kind things in the shop. I also heard that the workers there can make it if you can dream it!" He said quoting their slogan. " really wondering if they can. Besides it might be fun just to see what they have. Only if you promise Bunny wont be there." He said shuttering think about the girl. " You really shouldn't be friends with some one like her. " He said thinking about her as he turned seeing Snow. "Oh yea about earlier, dragon I was playing I wasn't being serious. Snow would never use her magic to seduce someone." He said looking really sad about having made Balthier upset. " I'm sorry sometimes I take my fun to far. " Snow stared at Aleen as she watched her. She froze as she saw Balthier she stared right into his eyes as she saw something was off. Most people wouldn't see it but she wasn't most people. She had been trained in magic and had it used on her. She had a understanding that most people didn't have. Her eyes cut to Aleen as she quickly stepped up beside Jinx. " I would like to go with Jinx. I haven't been and it might be fun if that is alright." She said not wanting to leave Jinx alone with Aleen. She had a bad feeling that Balthier was under a enchantment. However she didn't have any proof. " I'm sorry for earlier." She said sure that Balthier wouldn't remember what happen any how if she was correct. " Don't be silly I'm sure Balthier doesn't hold grudges against his friends. If you would like to join us Snow your more than welcome. However I didn't think being out in public was your thing. Are you sure you can keep that temper of your in check? I heard that if you can't bad things happen." She said softly as she spoke. " You are always welcome to join us. Besides I'm sure you might find something delightful at the shop. Who knows you could meet prince charming at the ball." She said smiling and then frowned as she thought about what she said. " Oh, I'm sorry. That was poor choice of words on my part. I meant maybe you'll find someone special." |
Balthier looked back at Aleen and gave her an apologetic shrug. "Sorry, but I love surprises so we can go anywhere as long as the food is good." Balthier answered. He wasn't too picky just as long as he liked the food that was served. He payed attention to what Ezale had to say and cocked his head to the side in confusion. "What are you talking about weasel? Snow seduce someone? I'm sorry I don't know what you're referring to." he explained. When he heard Snow apologize he only shook his head. "I'm not sure what this is about but it's okay you guys, I don't hate any of you if you were wondering." Balthier assured.
Jinx couldn't believe that Balthier didn't remember anything about the kiss. That was both good and bad. Good because at least he wasn't upset anymore but it was bad because something had obviously happened that made him forget everything. Her eyes cut to Aleen and she frowned, maybe she did something to her brother? "W-well I think Ezale should wear whatever he wants." Jinx answered and looked at Balthier worriedly. |
Snow cut in as she put her arm out in front of Jinx as Aleen went to reach for Jinx. " No it's ok besides you said you wanted to take Balthier out remember. The best places will close early today because of the ball. 'She said as she smiled warmly making sure that Aleen couldn't touch Jinx. " How about we find you tonight at the ball." She said as she smiled. " Besides you don't want to make him wait on his meal. " She said trying to be as friendly as she could without drawing attention to them.
Ezale froze as he looked to Snow watching her. He looked to Balthier thinking it was really odd how he acted. He felt something click in his head as he watched how Snow suddenly acted not letting Aleen touch Jinx. He quickly pulled Jinx to him wrapping his arms around her in a protective manner as he smiled warmly at Aleen following Snow's lead. " Oh you know Snow's right. Besides dragons get temperamental when they get hungry. I mean he really did a great job out there. He deserves a good meal. I'm sure Jinx can take of dressing me to her liking. I promise to be good and let her. " He said keeping Jinx out of Aleen's reach. Aleen stared at Snow as she watched the girl. For a moment a flashed of rage shown in her eyes as her composed exterior faded for a moment. However she quickly recovered. " Of course your right. Besides he did work really hard today. " She said as she smiled enchantingly at him. " Well I know a great place to get some of the best meat around. And it's all you can eat." She said as she gently took his hand. " Come on let's go." She said very sweetly. She turned her head over her shoulder as she lead the way giving Snow a glare. Snow may have figured out her plan for Jinx but she wasn't going to give up so easily. |
Balthier was hungry, why wasn't he being fed? "You know, they're right. I'm hungry and I was promised food. This dragon needs to eat, now." he said seriously. Balthier didn't mean to sound rude but they had a point. He got grumpy when he was hungry which he really was right now. Looking at Ezale he narrowed his eyes, "I trust you to treat her right while I am gone. I expect to see you three at the ball." he said and followed Aleen. Kissing the back of his hand as he did so and glancing back to look at Jinx. She would be fine though. He told himself that and turned his attention back to where he and Aleen were going to eat.
Jinx blushed when she felt Ezale's arms around her, she really liked this feeling of safety. It was nice to see her friends protecting her from Aleen. "I do not like that lady at all. She is friends with bunny so no good can come from her." she said and frowned. "I fear she has done something to my brother. How could he have forgotten the kiss you gave him snow?" Jinx asked curiously. She watched them walk away and looked at Balthier when he looked back at her but frowned, that was not her brother, something had happened to him and she didn't know what it was but she didn't like it one bit. |
