Ahyoka looked to Spotted Deer a little surprised but nodded. " Maybe your right." She said as she looked seeing Pallaton returning with a arm load of stuff. " What did you do raid the women's huts for all their crafting supplies?" She asked looking at all the things he had managed to bring back. " Ummm is there something you would like to tell us? I didn't know I had a sister." She said as she watched his face and laughed seeing the look he cut her. She looked away and went quiet knowing she had really got him good. She started eating again as she tried to keep Koon and the pup out of her own food. " You two have eaten this is mine!" She said as she felt she was losing the battle. She sighed as she finished her meal and handed the rest to them so they could fight over it. " I doubt he'll get much rest with our lively group." She said looking down at Koon and the Pup who where chasing each other trying to get the food.

Pallaton narrowed his eyes as he glared at Ahyoka. He watched her look away and nodded knowing she knew she had won this round. He sighed as he managed to place all the crafting supplies down along with the box beside Spotted Deer. He finally took his seat as he looked over to his sister. " Haha your so funny. No it's what I had brought for Spotted Deer earlier so she could work on the necklace. Maybe if your kind she'll show you how to make one. I mean keep it up and you'll be your own husband and wife all in one. " He said picking on her. He grinned knowing she was going to get even with him for that remark. " Honestly though it might be fun for you to learn. Besides I'm just glad your eating. " He said as he looked at Koon and the pup. " It's like two children. "

Ahyoka smiled as she heard Spotted Deer. " I'm glad you like it and maybe we can practice together if that's alright. I have much to learn and you seem to really enjoy it. I hope you have sweet dreams. " She said as she walked over and check on Red Cardinal then curled up on one of the extra skins. She smiled as the wolf pup wiggled his way into her arms and licked her face before falling asleep with her. She slept for most of the night waking up now and again to check on Red Cardinal and the others. Ahyoka was woke early in the morning hearing coughing. She stumbled out as she found one of the mother's there with her small child asking for help. Ahyoka grabbed her things and went to the women's teepe and helped the child. She showed the mother what to do to help the small child and stayed with her for a while keeping a eye on the child.

After a while she walked through the village checking on everyone making sure that everyone was well. She was surprised when some of the children pulled her down to the river and gave her a spear. They where fishes and started to show her how to fish. To them this was a treat and they where laughing and enjoying themselves at Ahyoka expense. The children made fun of her but did help her. Before long she was fishing like they did. She had a few mishaps but the children just laughed it off calling her Ohcumgache or Little Wolf. Ahyoka was tired from staying up most of the night making making necklaces with the Princess. By the time lunch came around she was almost dragging. She helped bring the fish they caught back to the village. She was amazed with how many they had caught. She was even more surprised with how the women greeted her thanking her and telling her to set and rest. She watched the women as they started preparing the fish to make them last for the winter. She offered to help but the women told her to rest. Some brought her food and each one treated her as if she was one of their own.

Pallaton woke early in the morning hearing Ahyoka wake and heading outside. He went and joined her as he saw the guards had traded shifts. He spoke with the new ones and laughed with them. He headed out to the horses as he started working with them. He showed some of the men who had gathered how to work with the horses teaching them how to start training the horses. He laughed as he watched some and showed them how to correct their mistakes. He told them it would take a few years to master training horses or any animal but that they where doing a wonderful job. He showed them how to properly care for the horses and was surprised as he heard the sound of laughing children. He and the other men left the horses as they watched Ahyoka and the children come back with baskets upon baskets of fish. He smiled as he saw how the ladies treated her. The people where starting to take a liking to her. She was proving herself to them even though she didn't know it.

He was surprised when a small group on horses came back and greeted him telling him that they had been scouting and no white men where to be seen. He was impressed with their loyalty and dedication. He was moved by them and told them thank you. The men only laughed and nodded. They asked how Red Cardinal was. He told them that he was doing alright. The men invited him to join them in hunting. He agreed and was surprised when they had Spotted Deer's mare already ready for him with bows and arrows. The men grinned as they saw his face and laughed. One told him that they wanted to honor of hunting with White Eagles son. Besides he had made their Princess smile again and brought hope to their village it was a honor.

Pallaton smiled as he climbed onto the mare and followed them as they road further inland away from the white settlement out to the open plane to hunt buffalo. It was cold but not to cold yet and there might be a change to find a herd still on the plane.

Spotted Deer said her goodnight and quickly fell to sleep. The following morning she woke up to see that both Ahyoka and Pallaton were gone. Quickly, Spotted Deer cleaned up around Red Cardinal's house and knew she needed to wash up but she couldn't leave her friend alone. A soft groan captured her attention and she gasped when she saw that Red Cardinal was awake and trying to sit up. "Red Cardinal!" she gasped and was quickly at his side. "Stop it, lie back down you're still hurt." she ordered and smiled at him when he did as he was told. "I'm sure you are in pain and hungry, I believe Pallaton has gone hunting and before you ask, I think Ahyoka has just gone to check on the tribe and help those that she can." Spotted Deer explained.

Red Cardinal groaned as he woke up from his sleep, instantly feeling a numb pain all over his body. The enemy had done a number on him. He tried to sit up but did as the princess told him to do and lay back down carefully. Hungry? Yes, he was very hungry and he wanted to walk around. So Ahyoka was helping people and his brother was out hunting? "I see..." he said quietly. "How are you feeling?" Spotted Deer asked. "I'm alright. I feel some pain but I think that's normal." Red Cardinal answered and noticed the bracelet that Spotted Deer was wearing. "You made that princess?" he asked. She shook her head though and he smiled when she said that Ahyoka was the one who made it for her. "That was kind of her to do." he said quietly.

Spotted Deer smiled at Ahyoka and shook her head. I slept enough I think. Besides, I wanted to look after Red Cardinal." she said and thought for a moment. "Is it alright for Red Cardinal to sit up?" she asked Ahyoka. Ahyoka was the healer in the tribe so if she said it was okay then she would help Red Cardinal sit up, she was sure his back hurt from lying down for so long. "The women made furs? How kind of them to do so. It seems the people are in better spirits now, it makes me very happy to see the people of the tribe so happy." Spotted Deer informed honestly as she picked up the new necklace she made for Pallaton and put it away in the box. She would give it to him when he returned.

Red Cardinal was happy to see that Ahyoka was okay. "I'm fine. I still feel pain but it's nothing too bad, it's numb pain that I imagine is normal." Red Cardinal answered and watched as Spotted Deer put away a necklace. He could only guess it was probably for Pallaton when he returned. "I know I did get hurt, but I'd rather get hurt than you getting hurt or anyone else in the tribe." he answered seriously. He was sure everyone was probably going to scold him for what he did but he'd do it again no problem. Red Cardinal then realized Koon was there with him and he chuckled. "Have you been having Koon?" he asked the racoon who only curled up even more and yawned. "I am sure you did just fine Ahyoka. We shall go fishing one day and I am sure you will be as good as me." he said to her with a soft smile.

Red Cardinal was glad to be sitting up now even though it hurt to move. "Thank-you." he said to both girls. "Yes but you will get there sooner if you practice every single day. I will just watch and help if you need it." he explained softly and remained as still as he could. "I'll stay as still as I possibly can Ahyoka." he answered honestly. "I know I need to wash it, I was planning on going to the river to wash it." he admitted, expecting her to yell at him. "I know it will be wise though to do it here." Red Cardinal quickly added and blushed softly when her hand caressed her face.

Spotted Deer watched the two interact and smiled. The two of them cared so much about the other person it was clear. If they did end up getting married she knew they would truly be happy together but this wasn't her choice, the choice was theirs and they still had a long way to go before they could even accept marriage. Red Cardinal still had to fight for her, they both seemed to be proving themselves very well already. "Thank-you." she said to Ahyoka as she accepted the bowl of food. When she saw that Ahyoka was feeding Red Cardinal, she laughed sweetly. "Sorry." she apologized and took a bite of her food.

Red Cardinal was going to thank her for the food and take the bowl but was surprised when she started feeding him. Spotted Deer's laugh did not go unheard but he smiled slightly, at least she was enjoying this. It was very kind of Ahyoka to do this even though he felt she really didn't need to. "I truly apologize.." he started and ate the food she kept feeding him, feeling like a child who was being scolded for doing something he shouldn't have. "I just didn't want anyone getting hurt." he answered and ate the food quietly.

" There are other who would have helped you...." Ahyoka said as she still refused to look at him. " Don't ever do something like that again without asking for help. You have all the villagers worried. I think for what you did I'll let them start coming and sit with you from sun up to sun down and let the ladies know you aren't allowed to feed yourself! " She said as she kept feeding him. " Maybe then you'll think twice!" She said as she kept her eyes on the food being careful as she fed him. " You can try and walk down to the river but your wounds aren't well enough for the walk. If you try I promise you'll regret it. Because I'm not above telling the women you need constant supervision and need someone here night and day. I know enough women here that would have you pinned to this bed sir and dare you to move because they will all be fighting over you and who gets to feed you. SO JUST TRY ME!" She said finally cutting her eyes to him.

" You still have a good week or two before you can move as you like. So you can put up with me and Spotted Deer or be hard headed and end up with every single women in the village tending to you night and day. The choice is yours." She said as she looked back to the food still feeding him and being very careful feeding him. She was more upset that he just vanished on her while they where out there and that he had been hurt so badly. She had honestly thought she had lost him. She didn't like to admit it or show it in front of others but she did care for him more than she had thought or even liked. She had hide the necklace she made under the fur she had slept on a little embarrassed to give it to him with Spotted Deer around.

Pallaton had just come back a storm starting to come in carring some water for the group. He had helped hunt a few deer with the others but lent them the mare to help hauling some of the dead deer back to the Village. The men had fun with him and where impressed with his skills. He didn't claim any deer for himself or Spotted Deer knowing that the men he went hunting with had larger families and needed it more. He slowly made his way into the tent as he heard what Ahyoka was saying and how she was treating Red Cardinal. He sat the water down as he knelt down beside Spotted Deer. " Princess as funny as this is to watch I think we should maybe to your teepe for a while and let them settle this on their own." He said to her at a whisper.

"The only other person there was you and you could have gotten hurt." Red Cardinal started calmly. He really did feel like a child right now, being scolded for doing what he thought was right. What did they want him to do? sure he could have run back and asked for help but what if they were too late? What if many people were killed? He didn't want to see that happen again. Red Cardinal continued eating what he was being fed, like a good boy and listened to Ahyoka scold him. When she raised her voice at him though he flinched and frowned. No one had ever raised their voice at him before other than his parents who were now dead.

"Hard headed?" Red Cardinal repeated and sighed softly. "I know what this is...It's not about the villagers." he said and looked at her with a serious look on his face. "This is about you. You're just hurting more than I am right now and you just don't want to admit it. You want me to think that you aren't affected by what happened but the tone of your voice says it all. You're hurt, upset because I almost died. I know I did and I'm okay with that. Sure you might think it's foolish but my job is to protect the princess and the village. I did what I thought was the right thing to do, so I'm sorry if you're not happy with my choice." he said and looked away, not wanting to look at Ahyoka anymore.

Spotted Deer gasped softly when she heard Ahyoka raise her voice at Red Cardinal. She could see that he was surprised as well and knew this probably wouldn't end well but she really hoped she was wrong. Finishing her food, she listened to Red Cardinal and then looked at Ahyoka, wondering how she was going to respond to his assumption. Hearing Pallaton, Spotted Deer chuckled and nodded, "I believe you're right." she whispered back and picked up the box then stood up and quietly walked out of the tepee with Pallaton.

Ahyoka said nothing further to him. She worked with out any words to him. It might be his job but he should be smarter not work harder. He obviously didn't care about her feelings or anyone else. If his job was so important to him fine. The guards peered in after a while making sure that they where ok. To their surprised a group of young girls managed to slip into the teepe. Ahyoka raised her hand to stop them from removing them. As the young girls gave Red Cardinal gifts. She crossed her arms over her chest as she started warming some water hearing the other women scolding him the same way she had. She said nothing to him as she asked the young girls to leave after a while knowing he needed rest. She brought the warm water over to him as she removed his bandages and started cleaning each and everyone of his wounds. She kept focused on his wounds. She didn't say a word to him as she worked not feeling anything needed to be said. She noticed that his wounds where starting to heal nicely and frowned seeing how many she had to use the heated knife on. It made her angry again as she thought about what he had said. Who did he think had saved him Pallation? She had fought off those men. She felt her temper rise the more she worked on him. How could she care for someone like him. He was ok if he died so why should she care about healing him or what pain he was in. She finished cleaning his wounds and cleaned him off bandaging back up his wounds.

She closed her eyes as she counted calming herself down and started to undo his hair not caring at this point how he felt about it. She then took some clean warm water and started to clean his hair with it. It took her quiet a while to clean his hair. Once she was done she took the water to the opening and asked one of the guards if they minded dumping the bloody water for her. She thanked the guard for his kindness as she walked back to Red Cardinal and started braiding his hair once again. She said nothing as she worked on his hair. She wrapped his hair at it's end so the braid would stay. She turned her head as she heard the pup playing with something. She turned as she saw it was his necklace. " No pup!" She said as she tried to get it from him. However the pup ran from her thinking it was a game as it leaped onto Red Cardinal's lap. " Come back here!" She said as the pup growling in a playful manner eyeing her ready to jump some where else if she tried to grab him.

Pallaton followed Spotted Deer helping her by opening the flaps for her as they entered her home. " I hope everything ends well however in my short time sometimes it doesn't. Strong women like you and Ahyoka want to be equals and not protected like something weak and fragile. He said the wrong things for it to end well. It might be his job to protect you and the village but he has a job to himself as well. He can never truly love anyone as long as he thinks of the village and you first. It's a hard balance. As Princess you have a duty to your people but you also have a duty to yourself. He has forgotten that and I'm afraid he lost any ground he had gained with Ahyoka. Tell me if you had saved me from something like that and I woke up and the first thing I told you was it was job and I didn't want to see you hurt, and the only person I had was you and you would have gotten hurt. Let's not forget he said he was ok with dying if need be. Ahyoka is being a lot nicer than most women. She has a temper just like you. If I had told you that you would have blew up on me. By now you would be gone and wouldn't talk to me even if I managed to chase you down and pinned you some where. When you did talk to me you would inform me that you had been the one to save me so I was wrong to assume you would have been hurt. All he is thinking about is his job or that is what he is saying rather he knows or not. You can't have that mindset and have a relationship with someone. I did it to you when we where young and I'm very sorry for that. I remember when I almost lost you because of it. That's how I had to learn the difference between job and self. You have to do both. Ahyoka like any other women has feelings. To not take them into consideration and to put something above your own and theirs is in a way of being selfish. I should know I did it to you once and I'm very sorry." He said to her as he knelt down beside her taking her hand. " I promise to try and be a better person to and for you. And to be a better friend. I am sorry for all the things I did to you when I was younger that hurt you. I know we are going to fight because that's part of life. But I don't ever want to lose you again. I would rather you fight with me every day and pick on me than to spend a life time without you. "

Red Cardinal looked at the other girls and frowned as he accepted their gifts and said nothing as they scolded him one by one. He couldn't tell them anything, he knew they wouldn't care. They had a right to be upset, maybe next time he wouldn't do anything. Maybe next time he would do exactly what they wanted him to do, maybe then they would be happy. "I don't want these gifts.." he muttered as he looked at the gifts. "I don't deserve them." he said and gently started to pet Koon as Ahyoka worked in silence. She was obviously mad and he wasn't sure there was anything he could do or say to make her happy again. If he was gaining her trust he had lost it all today, good job.

Red Cardinal sighed after she had finished and raised an eyebrow, seeing the pup playing with a necklace. He watched the pup carefully and when he jumped onto his bed, Red Cardinal picked him up and held out his hand. "Drop that right now." he said seriously. "It's not yours, so you shouldn't be playing around with it, it can break." he explained to the pup who whimpered but dropped the necklace into Red Cardinal's hand. "Good boy." he said and set the pup down before staring at the necklace then handed it over to Ahyoka. "It's nice." he said. "You made it?" he asked her and looked away from her. "I understand if you don't want to talk to me anymore." he started. "You don't have to stay here, you can leave so that you don't have to see my foolish self again." he muttered and looked at the other gifts given to him.

"Pallaton..." Spotted Deer started seriously. "Red Cardinal might have messed up but he meant well. No one is perfect, people mess up and if you, your sister and everyone else can't see that then what sort of people are we?" she asked with narrowed eyes. "You made mistakes and I'm sure your sister did as well. I know I have made mistakes too. Red Cardinal did what he thought was right even though it wasn't. Being mad at him isn't going to do anything. Scolding him is fine, but hating him isn't going to make him learn his lesson. I fear he'll go back to his old self and stop talking all together." she explained sadly. Pallaton was right, she'd be extremely mad at him if he did the same thing, she'd never talk to him again or at least not for a very long time. "Well yes, but I think it's sweet that he worries about her safety. There's nothing wrong with that." she said. "Must I remind you that Red Cardinal has never been in a relationship with anyone? He is new to all of this Pallaton. He has never been interested in anyone and I'm surprised he's starting to show interest in Ahyoka, even though he might as well forget about it now because he lost it thanks to this mess." Spotted Deer muttered and sighed. She didn't appreciate talking about Red Cardinal behind his back like this but Pallaton did make a lot of good points. Spotted Deer frowned as she listened to him and pulled her hand away from his. Looking at the box, she opened it and held out the necklace to him. "Here..." she said quietly. "If you break this one too it's fine. I'll just work on a new one." she said softly and looked down at the remaining items inside the box.

Ahyoka laughed softly as she shook her head. " No if I don't take care of you, you'll end up worse. I had tried to make it for you. However I really couldn't come up with good promises for it. All I could come up with was to promise to heal you to believe in you and to try and be a good friend and to listen to you when you wanted to talk. " She said as she looked at the necklace. " Witch is what I should have been doing. I understand you where doing what you felt was right. But you always don't have to be a hero. And your right I don't like hearing you say I'm ok if I die. You shouldn't be ok if you die. There are people here who care about you. I happen to care about you and your wrong. I would have rather have went with you. Everyone needs someone. If I'd had got hurt it would have been on me. And by the way who do you think saved you? I don't like seeing you like this or as I had found you. I don't want to ever see you like that again. I honestly was afraid I had lost you. I'm not meaning to scold you but your right I'm hurt because I care about you and if you cared about me you wouldn't get yourself hurt to the point of almost dying. It isn't nice to tell people that care about your ok dying. I understand that your job is to protect your people and the Princess so maybe I need to accept the fact that your one day away from dying. I guess that means I need to work on my herbs and healing skills so I can keep you alive." She said as she smiled softly looking at the necklace. " I'm sorry for getting upset and I'll try to be more understanding. But if you don't that again so help me I'll be the one to kill you. You scared me and I really did think you where going to die on me. Besides who else would try and track me down in the Snow? " She said as she smiled at him."The things you will do to get out of spending time with me! I understand I'm not the prettiest girl but really? Trying to die is a little excess for even a man like you. I can take a hint. You could have just said you didn't want to spend time with me." She said as she turned her nose up in a playful manner obviously trying to make him laugh.

Pallaton look down at the necklace as he smiled. " Oh this isn't going to be broken by me. Besides I've felt necked without it. It's lovely and I'm sorry for making you upset and hurting you as I did. I should have been a better friend to you and not went to the extreme as I did. There is only one way I accept this and it's if you put it on me as you did with the first one. I promise to not damage this one and to cherishes it as I do you. " He said meaning it as he held the necklace out to her so she could put it on him. " I know I'm a pain but I'm your pain." He said smiling at her. " Besides if your up for it we could work on some jewelry for your mare. Remember starting tomorrow you can go out with me. I think we could spend some time with her tomorrow and then spend time with Red Cardinal. " He said smiling at her. " Hey there is no reason for you to attack me. I was just making valid points. And we don't know what will happen with them. They might surprise us as we did them. I just know you and I know if I'd said that I would have died by your hands or you wouldn't have spoke to me unless you just had to. And when you did speak to me I'd wish I was dead. I learned from the first time. See I can learn...it just takes a while apparently." He said smiling at her.

Red Cardinal still didn't look at her, he focused on Koon who hopped off the bed. "H-Hey Koon!" he called but Koon ran out of the tent, making him sigh, she would be back eventually. She obviously wanted to get some fresh air. Ahyoka made it for him...? Why? "So you broke your promises before I even put it on?" he asked and finally looked at her. "I don't have to be a hero..." he repeated and frowned. True, he had to give others a chance to be a hero too. Besides, too much work was never good for your health. But what was he supposed to do if he wasn't working? He couldn't just sit and do nothing, maybe he could help make necklaces? No...why would he make a necklace? For who? For Ahyoka...he'd just need to think of some promises. "If you got hurt I would never forgive myself." Red Cardinal said seriously to her. "I know you saved me Ahyoka, I'm not stupid. I know you did that back there and I was impressed but you could have gotten hurt. I'm glad you didn't though. "Ahyoka, you wouldn't kill me, you just said you care about me. If you kill me then that would mean you didn't care about me so much." he pointed out. Hearing her mention tracking her down in the snow, he thought for a moment. "Well your brother can search for you." he said, a ghost of a smile on his face. "Although I'm not sure he'd be able to since he's been gone for so long. So yes, if I died and you get lost in a snow storm, you'll be lost forever." Red Cardinal said and started laughing as she continued joking around with him. It hurt to laugh but right now he didn't care, she was being quite funny, it was a nice change from her serious side. "Y-you're not ugly at all.." he said and laughed some more. Catching his breath he smiled at her and shook his head. "You are very lovely Ahyoka and don't tell yourself otherwise." he commented.

"It was my fault you did what you did. I angered you past your breaking point and seeing you do that showed me just how terrible I had been treating you. I wasn't thinking when I said what I said, and when you stormed off it made me really think things through. I did my best to be a better person since then." Spotted Deer said softly. "If you break this one Pallaton, my heart won't be able to handle it." she whispered, tears in her eyes. Spotted Deer smiled weakly and took the necklace from him. "Yes you are, I'm glad you recognize that." she said with a sniffle as she carefully put the necklace on him and leaned back to admire her work. "Perfect, I love it on you." she admitted. Listening to his suggestion, she nodded. Her Mare had to be the most beautiful mare, so she was going to make sure to make the very best jewelry for her. "I know Pallaton, I guess we'll find out eventually." Spotted Deer stated and laughed softly, "Yes, it takes you a very long time!" she agreed and bopped him on his head with her fist gently a few times like she used to when they were younger.

Pallaton laughed as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead just holding her. " I promise I wont let anything happen to this necklace. Just as I promise not to let anything happy to you. I still love you Spotted Deer I always will even if you make me mad. Don't ever think I don't." He whispered to her as he held her. He smiled softly as he grinned. " I'm sorry it takes me a while to learn but that's why I have you to beat it into me." He said as he grinned at him. " Besides we need to get you training with your mare and I need Red Cardinal to get well so we can go get us some horses." He said as he grinned softly at her.

Ahyoka was confused at first at what he said and feared he was angry at her. She was surprised hearing some of what he said as she started to laugh. She smiled at him as she softly touched his face. " And your very handsome so don't let anyone tell you different. Though with all the attention you get from the ladies I doubt you will." She said playing with him as she smiled. " Well I care about you and don't like you hurt. So if your going to do this make sure you come home and come back for me." She said softly admitting what she had really wanted to say. " I don't like crying and seeing you hurt as you was I couldn't help but cry. Besides I don't need any help in make people dislike me. I'm afraid some of the Ladies are going to be upset seeing that your body will have some scares from this. I'm sure I'll hear about it." She said playing of course as she smiled at him. " If you would like I'll go look for Koon. I know you worry for her and...." She saw her pup trying to follow Koon. She got up and snatched him up surprising him as he yelped. " As I feared you would follow her. You are not big enough little runt. You need to stay here with us and keep him company." She said putting the small pup down beside him. " Would you like something to drink or eat?" She asked blushing a little as she realized she had admitted how she felt for him.

Spotted Deer blushed softly and smiled nervously while in his arms. She listened to everything he said and looked at him. He was always so sweet to her, she really was lucky to have someone like him in her life. She had to learn to cherish him, she didn't ever want to hurt him any more. She didn't want to make him mad, but she knew herself and knew that she would end up making him angry eventually. "I love you too Pallaton, and we do need to start my training as soon as possible. I need to learn to hunt as well." Spotted Deer agreed with a nod of her head.

Red Cardinal smiled and placed his hand over hers. "Well no one ever tells me that. The girls just look and giggle." he informed. The girls usually did just that, like they were too nervous to approach him or something. He blushed when he heard what she said, realizing what she meant. She really did care about him...a lot. "Ahyoka.." he started and smiled warmly at her. "I promise to come back for you." he promised. "I wouldn't want to make you cry. I'm sorry for having made you cry, it was not my intentions." Red Cardinal said, gently pulled her into a hug. "I am very sorry for hurting you Ahyoka. I never want to hurt you, I want you to be happy. If scars keep the girls away, you'll have me all to yourself, that's good right?" he asked and looked at her, a smile on his face. "Koon will come back, she likes to run off and play in the woods but she comes back usually before dark. If it is dark out and she hasn't returned that is when I worry." Red Cardinal explained. "May I have some water please?" he asked her.

Ahyoka was surprised as he hugged her. She blushed more but smiled softly as she heard him. She hugged him back and nodded hearing him. " Of course I'll get you some water." She said as she went and got him some water and brought it back. " Then why don't we make a promise together for the necklace I made. " I promise to try and keep all the promises I made and you wear it to remember your promise of coming back to me." She said softly as she still held a blush." Is there anything else you need? I can fix you up a tonic to help with the pain some. Sadly your hurt to bad to make the pain go away fully. But it can help dull it." She said softly.

Pallaton smiled as he heard Spotted Deer and laughed as he looked at her. " You know how to hunt but if you want us to go together I'm perfectly fine with it. So Princess what should we do? Do you wish to go back and check on Red Cardinal before bed time?" He asked knowing she was worried for him. " I know your worried but his wounds looked to be doing rather good considering how bad he was hurt. I don't believe he'll be up for some time so I'm sure he would love your company. Besides you two are really close."

"Thank-you." Red Cardinal said and took a small sip. "You should eat something Ahyoka. I don't believe I saw you eat today." he said to her honestly. He looked at the necklace and nodded, "Sounds good to me. I promise that I will come back to you." Red Cardinal promised and smiled sadly. He was probably going to be stuck in bed for a very long time thanks to the stunt he pulled. "Please and thank-you. How long do you think I will be here in bed like this?" he asked curiously. He didn't mind staying here as long as he had someone to talk to. "I thank-you for staying. I enjoy having your company." he admitted.

Spotted Deer blinked, "I never hunted on my own before I don't think." she said softly and thought for a moment. "Yes, I think we should check on both Red Cardinal and Ahyoka to make sure they're both doing alright. I'm just glad that he didn't get killed." she said and frowned. "I don't know what I would do if he died, I don't think any of us would know what to do if he were to be killed. Red Cardinal really is adored by the people even if he has a hard time seeing it." Spotted Deer said honestly with a sad smile.

"Well next week you should be able to move around freely. But it's going to be a while before you can run and really do what you wish. I'm not sure really when you'll be fully healed. It will just depend on you. You could be up and going next week. However I'm afraid it will be a while before the pain goes away." Ahyoka said being honest as she looked at him." The main reason I want you to rest until next week is to make sure that your wounds heal enough so if you get up they don't come open. The rest will be up to you to decide when you feel like you can manage the pain and go out and do things." She said softly as she looked to the food. " I ate today I believe. " She said trying to think back.

Pallaton smiled and he nodded hearing her. " Well then lets go check on them." He said as he kissed her forehead and got up and help open the flaps for her. " What would you think Red Cardinal would like since he is going to be down for a little while? You and I could work on some things for him. I wonder what would keep him happy and busy so he doesn't realize he isn't out in the woods hunting. We should make that our top goal for now finding things to keep him busy that he would like."
