Valerie nodded and went into the armory. She looked around, and then began outfitting herself with the best weapons Kingsman could offer.
"What the actual fuck?" Clint murmured, looking at the armory. He nudged Coulson. "Where's ours? Do we get one of those?" |
Coulson snorted quietly. "If you ask nicely Merlin might send you home with a care package," he murmured. "If you're very lucky."
|
Clint snorted.
"Sir, when am I ever that lucky?" he replied. "Maybe I can get Callie to put in a good word once we get her sister back. She likes me." |
Coulson snorted quietly. "That would be safer to hedge your bets," he agreed mildly.
|
Clint just grinned at that.
Once Valerie couldn't physically fit any more weapons onto her person, she came back out of the armory. "Time to go get my sister," she said. |
Merlin nodded. "There are cars ready, coordinates already set in," he told them. "I'll monitor from here."
Coulson nodded and motioned for Valerie to follow him. Time to go get the other agent back. |
Valerie followed them out to the cars.
The coordinates were surprisingly close, only about a half an hour away. Valerie started to get fidgety the longer they were in the car, and then went very still when the car stopped. The rest of the mission was something of a blur. She knew she was following Harry and Coulson inside, and then everything just sort of went to shit from there. |
There were lots of people with guns, and lots of gunfire. And then lots of blood. Coulson knew that his team was eliminating targets efficiently, but they didn't start with the extreme prejudice until after they found the first room of frightened women. Then all bets were off.
Callie had herded the women in her room back into a corner, crouched down so they were smaller targets, and was crouched in front of them, clearly ready to attack the first person to come in. |
Valerie split off with Eggsy from the main group, and was going around looking for her sister. She came on the closed door at the end of the cell block, and pounded on the door.
"Anyone in there, get away from the door!" she called. She pulled out a lighter grenade and stuck it to the door, blowing the lock to bits. |
Callie let out a relieved breath when she saw her sister. "Oh thank god," she muttered, moving over to her sister. "It took you bloody long enough."
|
"Oh god you're okay," Valerie breathed, hugging her sister. She couldn't help but quirk a grin. "You've been in England a week and you're already starting to sound like them."
|
"Excuse you I said bloody before coming here," Callie said. "And I'm borrowing this." She liberated a gun from her sister. "I owe a few of them a bloody end."
|
"You'll have to fight Strike Team Delta, Arthur, and Galahad for the honor," Valerie replied. She paused for a moment. "And Merlin knows, by the way, not sure how."
|
"Honestly, not surprised at this point." Callie shrugged, clearly not too bothered by this. "Also not surprised I'll have to fight the others for a chance, but I'm sure I'll get in a shot or two."
|
"As long as you're aware of that," Valerie said. She peeked out the door again. "Eggsy, I found her! Coast clear?"
|
"Yeah, 's clear." Eggsy glanced back and did a rather spectacular double take when he realized "Valerie" wasn't wearing much besides her underthings. He swore quietly. "Right, let's get this lot out before Arthur has an aneurism."
|
Valerie snorted at that.
"You take point then," she said, bringing up her gun. She knew Callie could hold her own, now that there was a gun in her hand too. |
Eggsy huffed a bit but made sure the exit route was clear before he got all the rest of the young women out.
Callie, on the other hand, didn't leave. She had a bit of a score to settle first, and she was armed, now. So she set off to go take care of a few things. |
Valerie saw her sister split off and followed her, swearing a bit. She had a good idea of what her sister was planning, and she didn't want to get separated again.
|
Callie took down at least five herself. And then she ran into Eggsy, who'd reconvened with Harry again.
"Bloody stubborn woman," Eggsy chided, frowning at Callie. "I deserve at least this much revenge." Callie set her jaw mulishly. |
"Indeed," Harry agreed. He glanced at her cautiously. "Although, perhaps clothing would be a good idea, as well, now that the bulk of the crisis is past?"
"You're in your underwear," Valerie murmured to Callie. |
"I know that," Callie muttered back. "I gave my shirt to some other poor girl, wasn't taking it nearly as well." She met Harry's gaze for a moment before she snorted quietly and shot someone who had started to very cautiously move behind him. "Now I'll go find some clothes."
Eggsy snickered at that. |
"There's a suit in the car for you," Valerie cut in quickly, glancing at Callie. "I brought one just in case."
|
"Very good, thank you." Callie nodded to her and kept her cool out to the car, and all the way through getting into clean clothes. By then, the building had been cleared, and Coulson was watching the two from a little ways away, eyes narrowed just a little.
|
Valerie went with her and helped her with the suit. She would say it was because her sister's hands were shaking, if anyone asked.
Clint saw the look on Coulson's face. "Sir?" he asked quietly, one eyebrow raised slightly. |
