Rose was confused. First she saw the Father trying to kill their guests and next she saw Taiyang, who was apparently a girl, show that she had a metal arm and leg. She was so confused and didn't know who to trust quite honestly... but seeing the look in Taiyang's eyes, she decided to give it her. Just this once.
"Alright, but if I don't like what I hear, you and your brother are leaving." she said with a tone that broke for no argument. |
"I promise to tell you what I can, But we need to go. REN, GET OUT OF HERE." She shouted down to her brother before taking Rose's hand and starting to run through the door she just made, Just as Cornello's guards arrived and began to open fire. Cornello stood there angry of all this, and honestly, scared about the fact that the FullMetal Alchemist nearly killed him. He felt the blade when she swung it, it was closer then he'd ever admit it to anyone.

"Coming sis!" Ren shouted before making his way to the door that Yang had created, jumping up from the floor to the second floor thanks to the platform that she made earlier. Now all they had to do was get away with the girl...and hopefully she would believe them.

Yang didn't know how long they had ran before they finally found a small quiet area. Even though the guards should know the place inside and out, they were stupid enough to bypass them as Yang created a wall were the pathway should of been. "Damn, They just don't give up." Yang said under her breath. "Come on, Let's move a little further down before they realize what I did." Yang looked between Ren and Rose before starting down the corridor. She wanted them to get outside before they regrouped and made their plans. "Rose, You can ask me anything." She commented honestly.

"Who are you?" she asked first.

"Full Title or should I just shorten it?" She rubbed her neck. "I'm Yang Elric. The Fullmetal Alchemist. The Youngest, and surprisingly, only female state Alchemist."

"So you're a state alchemist, but how did you know that my fiance couldn't be brought back from the dead?" she asked, curious now.

Yang moved a knuckle and rapped it lightly on her brothers metal body. "We paid the price for such a transgression." She looked down as they walked and took a deep breath. "We tried to bring someone back to life ourselves."

"You know I hate it when you do that, you blonde bimbo" Ren replied.

"And..." Yang growled before turning around to clock Ren square in the face. "... I hate being called that! That's why I pretend to be a guy. I hate being judged just because of my appearance. Sorry, I was born with a large chest. So freakin' sue me!"

"I can't sue someone that's absolutely broke," Ren deadpanned. Even though he was the younger of the two, he was having fun teasing his sister.

"Rose, I am not saying anything just to upset you. Speaking from woman to woman here... The last thing I want to see is someone get hurt, especially if it's because of the lies of someone like Cornello. He might of done good, but what is his goal. After seeing so many things for the last five years, I have to believe there is something else." She looked down trying to think. "I want to see this town thrive, and just talking to that man exposed his flaw. He's been lying, and that just doesn't bode well with me."

"Why would he lie though?" Rose asked, albeit sadly.

"there a hundreds of reasons to be honest. But I need to find a way to do it."

"And what exactly is that? Restore your brother?" Rose asked. "And what about this town? Father Cornello pretty much owns it. Unless you can get him to say it out of his own free will, no one will believe you Yang"

"I want to restore our bodies, but I am not going to do something stupid just for that... But that gives me an idea." She looked to Ren. "I think you know what I am plotting." She smirked.

"I do," he said with a light sigh. "It's completely reckless yet somehow I can see you doing it. What do you need from me?" he asked.

"You are good with wiring. Head to the bell tower, I am heading to Cornello's office." She smirked, "Let's test our luck today."

"Aye Aye captain" Ren said before making his way to the bell tower.

"Rose, Go with Ren. It will be safer this way." She said, "If I am wrong, I shall leave without a word. I shall never return. Of that you have my word." Yang might be impulsive but she at least had some sense of honor.

Rose nodded before going with Ren to the Bell Tower. She just hoped that Yang and Ren were wrong. Because if they weren't...then what would that mean for the town?

Yang made her way quickly to Cornello's office, causing a few distractions in hopes ot drawing them away. It worked, and she set upon doing her task. It wasn't long before she sat on his desk waiting. And a long wait it was. She was hoping to get Cornello alone. She was going to call him out.

Cornello was heading to his office, hoping to find a way to discredit the guests that came to their village before he was found out. Opening the door...he saw the blonde-haired girl from earlier sitting on his desk with her legs over the edge of it. Seeing her there, he growled in anger. "You!"

"Come on in Cornello, Let's have a chat." She smirked, "I want to know what you really want from here." She knew the seclusion from everyone, his overconfidence in his abilities, the fact she was a girl and his one chance to slightly gloat over what he was doing would open up the entire conversation. No one trusted her abilities fully, believe it blind luck that a woman could actually be worthy of the title of State Alchemist until they've actually seen her in action.

"What I really want? I want power. Strength. Maybe even the world." He admitted, surprised that she even asked in the first place. "But then again, I can't do that by myself..."
