Yukina nodded, quiet for a moment.

"Considering the rumors I've heard recently," she said, "perhaps I should go with you as well? A healer might be good to have on hand."

Hiei considered that. Yukina wasn't helpless, after all, and she was right.

"If you like," he answered after a brief pause. He wouldn't ask her to, but he certainly wouldn't stop her, either.

"What he means," Winter broke in, "is 'yes, good idea, why don't you join us.'" She glanced between the siblings.

Hiei snorted but didn't dispute that. Yukina smiled a little.

"Good," she agreed.

They kept going for a while after that. Once they stopped for the night, though, Winter settled in and then turned to Yukina.

"So I never got around to asking," she said. "And, granted, I wasn't quite sure how to ask anyways. But... Did you ever find your brother?"

Yukina smiled slowly at that. "I don't think he knows it yet," she answered quietly. "But I have."

"Okay," Winter said, nodding. She grinned a bit. "I wanted to know because I'm a nosey, nosey bitch and I needed to sate my own curiosity."

Yukina smiled. "Your information is all from ten years ago, right?" she confirmed.

"Thereabouts," Winter said, nodding. "It's all really out of date, but some of it is still workable." She gave a bit of an embarrassed grin. "Though, yes, I've been wanting that answer for a long time."

Yukina nodded. "I don't think many people know that I know. I haven't said anything yet."

"I know," Winter replied. She grinned. "I asked him first. He suspects you might know, but he doesn't know for sure."

Yukina smiled. "He hasn't asked," she said primly. But there was a rather wicked glint in her eyes.

That wicked glint made Winter beam.

"Oh you ARE related, I love it," she said. "And I'm not going to tell him, I want to see this little drama play out."

Yukina nodded her agreement of that. "We'll see when he asks," she agreed mildly. Because she wouldn't volunteer until he asked.

Winter nodded still grinning.

"Yes indeed," she said. "You're always so sweet, it's good to know you've got that fire in you. Metaphorically and otherwise."

Yukina smiled. "I have it, but I can't use it, not really." She shrugged a little.

"I always wondered about that," Winter admitted.

Yukina nodded. "I do technically have that, but I can't use any fire. Just ice, and healing."

"Still, good to know," Winter said. "Never know when that information might be helpful."

Yukina nodded. "And what about you? Just the... teleporting?" She used the word questioningly, not quite sure.

"Yeah," Winter said, nodding a bit. "Just the teleporting. Not much by way of spirit energy, so I'm really not too terribly useful around here."

"Oh I wouldn't say that." Yukina smiled a little.

Winter blinked.

"What?" she asked. "What do you mean? And don't say nothing, it's not nothing, I know it's not nothing."

"Well he brought you here, didn't he?" Yukina smiled, watching her. "And he didn't ask you to return home."

"Well yeah," Winter said with a bit of a shrug. "You don't tell your ride to go home unless you're sure you have another way back." She shook her head a bit. "He just tolerates me, that's all."
