Evernote is a good cloud program for writing, too. I've been using it for a year or so now and it's wonderful at helping you keep things organized. It's like a virtual notebook. The free version is what I've been using and is all you really need if you're not using it for business purposes. They also have an app, so anything that has the program downloaded can be your workstation.
I've gone through multiple NaNo's with this program. I highly recommend it if you want to back up your writing and pre-writing stuff. |
I have the powerpoint with my notes on it. But I'd rather have my cute notebook.
|
I use Onenote. It is free from Microsoft and everything stays in the Cloud so I can't loose it and can use multiple devices to write.
I know a lot of people that don't like the program but I find it really easy to organize everything in a notebook. I make separate pages for characters, setting, plot ideas, etc. Then its all there and easy to access without having to dig for Word Documents or wherever I have things written down. |
@Kirin - I'm all for cute notebooks. Most of my ideas start in cute notebooks. It's just when I start drafting that I move into more computer-based programs.
@Fishy - I've used Onenote! It's set up fairly similarly to Evernote. That's actually kind of reassuring. I thought I was the only one who'd dabbled in using it. ^^; It's closer to being set up like a "cute notebook" than Evernote is, but I found Evernote a little more user-friendly. It's been a while, though. Maybe I'll start poking around in that program again. |
i haven't used any of those note thingys :3 i maybe should...
|
I am too attached to notebooks that I usually are too reluctant to start on one... love its pristine blank slate.
|
Aaaaahhhh NaNo starts tomorrow for me!!
|
I lost on chance, main and mule, on 3! O__O
|
A tragedy!!

Oh my gosh - I'm whirlwind planning my novel to get ready in time!
I found some good resources and tips on novel writing. This one is particularly good in my opinion. Anyone else have great resources you are using to make it through nanowrimo? |
Cute name. :3
|
I'm using both notebooka nd computer. because I've started to turn the phone/computer away at night before I get ready to sleep. My eyes have been hurting from the screens and I'd rather not start getting migraines because of excessive screen use. Also my handwriting is really fun.
|
Oh man, I just use the NaNoWriMo forums to help me plan. People asking me questions about my story forces me to come up with answers!
