Yup. They go through a period of dormancy. They probably won't flower but you may see some leaf growth. There's all kinds of neat orchids through out the world. Vanilla comes from orchids, from the seed pods, actually. It's the only known edible orchid I believe. And only grows in certain parts of the world. Not many pollinators for it. You could probably grow it in a green house but you'd have to hand polinate the flowers. And they only last around a day

I'm hoping to be able to have a green house for plants someday. My dream is to have a small farm. I want sheep, lots of room for gardens, chickens, a green house or two, a small orchard. Hopefully someday.
