"Oh great," Summer said. She knew exactly who Coulson wanted them to talk to. She leaned over to Rose. "We're going on a boat ride," she murmured, trying to stay on the right side of slightly hysterical.

"Yup." Rose shook her head a bit, because this was a lot. Wow. "It'll be fine," she murmured, taking a deep breath. Coulson at least had turned his attention (mostly) to his tablet.

"Hopefully," Summer murmured back. "We have seen enough movies to know how many ways this can go."

"Oh I know." Rose took another deep, steadying breath.

It took less time than she would have guessed to get to where they were going. Natasha parked in an underground parking structure for a plain-looking office building, and Coulson stepped out.

Summer steeled herself, and then got out of the car. The building looked plain, but she knew better; it was likely brimming with secret agents and expensive technology. She glanced at Coulson and Natasha, waiting for them to lead the way.

Coulson led the way again, Natasha bringing up the rear. No one stopped them as they moved inside, and then got into an elevator. One agent actually paled slightly and muttered about waiting for the next one, making Natasha smirk.

Summer blinked and almost hesitated getting into the large glass-backed elevator.

"The elevator scene," she murmured to Rose as she stayed close to one of the metal walls.

Rose made a tiny noise and rolled her eyes, because this was not the time, Summer.

Coulson glanced at the two, amused, and then led them down a hallway to a plain door. He knocked politely.

There was a pause, and then the electronic lock on the door clicked open on its own, and the door slid open.

"What took you so long?" Nick Fury asked, facing away from the door. There were enormous hologram screens set up, each with a multitude of different things on it.

"Traffic," Coulson said dryly, motioning the girls inside and following them in. "You know how it is, sir."

"Mhmm," Fury replied, not quite disbelieving but still rather flat. After a moment, he turned around to face the group. "So. What brings a couple of Keybearers onto my turf?"

Summer was hardly breathing. On the one hand, Fury knew about keyblades and Keybearers? And on the other, of course he did, why not?

"You seem to have an infestation of heartless," Rose pointed out, somehow finding her voice. "That's kind of what we take care of."

"I've already got people tracking down the source," Fury said. "It's being handled." He raised an eyebrow. "Unless you've got a paper airplane for me that says otherwise?"

"How did you...?" Rose trailed off, her eyes big at that. There was no way he could have known that. No way.

"I have my ways," Fury replied evenly. He eyed them both. "Since the two of you don't look like 'pretty distinctive young men,' I'm going to assume you're not the original Keybearers. That tells me something's not right. Which brings us back around to what brings you onto my turf?"

"We're filling in?" Rose offered, eyeing him. "You are seriously freaking me out with how much you know, this is weird. This place was just on the list, we're supposed to be doing our jobs."

"The list?" Fury asked, raising an eyebrow again.

"There's a map," Summer said. "It shows us which places need help, and this was one of them. So maybe you had things under control, but something must have changed."

"Hm." Fury eyed them. They looked the part, at least. "And your plans now?"

"To find the big heartless, beat it into submission, and lock the world so nothing else can threaten it from the outside," Summer replied carefully, watching him.

Well, that definitely fit. Fury nodded his approval.

"Good."

"So now what?" Summer asked after a beat of silence. "You know what we are, and we told you why we're here."

Fury was silent for several moments as he eyed them both. "Now we figure out why you're here, and not elsewhere. We haven't seen signs of larger heartless."

"The map indicated this world needed help," Summer said. "I know we can sense the smaller heartless when they appear. I'm hoping we'll be able to sense the big one when it appears too."

Fury nodded. Made sense. "Right. In that case, I'll have someone keep an eye on you, so we have some warning." He glanced at Natasha and she nodded just a little.

"Keeping an eye on them will be easiest at the tower," Coulson suggested. "Besides, I'm sure more than one person is eager to figure out what exactly is going on."
