Rose sighed but obligingly lifted the rifle again, aiming towards the targets.

Steve snorted quietly. "That, and excess energy," he pointed out.

Bucky let her work through one more round of targets before nodding.

“Better,” he said.

“Still, you suddenly make a lot more sense,” she said. She grinned. “Good to know Captain America is a little shit sometimes.”

Rose huffed and lowered her arms, which were getting sore. "Thank goodness," she muttered.

"I'm just a guy from Brooklyn," Steve told her with a shit eating little grin.

“You should probably practice more,” Bucky said. He looked at her for a moment. “But you’re not bad.”

“Uh huh, sure,” Summer said, grinning again.

"I'll practice more once my arms stop shaking," Rose grumbled.

Steve just grinned. "It's true," he pointed out.

Bucky just nodded. Then he grinned.

“My turn,” he said as he took up a rifle of his own.

“You were never just some guy,” Summer said. “I know this for a fact.”

"Oh sure, go ahead, show me up," Rose said, though she was grinning.

Steve gave her an odd look but didn't protest. "You said you traveled?" he asked, oh so subtly switching the topic.

“Consider it as inspiration,” Bucky replied, grinning. He put hearing protection on and took aim at a set of fresh targets.

“Sort of,” Summer replied. “We sort of go between worlds, through doorways we can open with our keyblades.”

Rose watched his shooting with more than a little admiration. Yeah, he was good.

"Right. No idea when you'll be off again?"

Bucky finished his shots and put up the rifle again. He shot her a charming grin.

“Once this world is sealed and safe,” Summer said with a shrug.

Rose blinked, caught off guard by the charm, and smiled back. "Knew you'd show me up."

Steve nodded. "And until then? Any plans besides fighting the black blobby things?"

“Can’t help being good at my job,” Bucky replied, grinning.

“Not really,” Summer admitted. “We’ll probably head back to Radiant Garden and see if there are other worlds that need help, and go there.”

Rose rolled her eyes. "Uh huh," she said. "Showing me up."

"Sounds like fun," Steve said. "Should be interesting."

Bucky just shrugged a bit and grinned at he, putting his rifle away again.

“It has been so far,” Summer agreed. “I like coming to all these new places.”

Rose huffed at him and vanished her rifle. "Any chance of food around here?"

Steve nodded. "That sounds enjoyable, even with the work," he agreed.

“There’s always a chance of food around here,” Bucky said, nodding. “Come on, we’ll raid the kitchen.”

“Don’t get me wrong, beating on heartless is fun,” Summer said. “Very therapeutic.”

Rose nodded and motioned for him to lead, following him out of the range and back to the elevators.

Steve grinned. "Sounds it," he agreed. "Especially since your weapons work. It's been more frustrating for us just because we have trouble getting rid of them."

Bucky took her back up to the main floor, and into the big kitchen.

“Have at it,” he said. “Whatever you feel like you want.”

“It helps that we’re practically designed to beat heartless,” Summer pointed out.

"Thanks." Rose smiled and ventured into the kitchen, starting to poke around.

"Yes, I'm sure that helps," Steve agreed wryly. "It'll definitely help us."

Bucky just watched her poke around the kitchen.

"So what's the plan?" he asked her.

"Good, because that's what we're here to do," Summer replied, grinning.

"Uh, beat up the heartless, find the big one, defeat it, move on to the next?" Rose shrugged, glancing back at him. "That's pretty much the plan."

Steve grinned. "Well, if you decide you need some help, I'm always okay with beating something up."

"And after that?" Bucky asked. "I gather you're going to head out after that. Where to?"

Summer grinned.

"That's an understatement if I ever heard one," she said. "I'm sure there are a lot of alleys in Brooklyn that would agree with me."

Rose shrugged. "Not sure exactly. We've got a map that we consult when it's time to go elsewhere."

Steve grinned. "Probably, although some of them don't exist anymore," he said with a little shrug.

“A map?” Bucky asked. “How’s that work?”

“Well if it’ll make you feel better, you can go with us when the heartless show up again,” Summer offered.

"Magic," Rose said with a little shrug. "Same as everything else, recently."

Steve grinned, and it was a little sharp. "I think I will take you up on that."
