"What can I say, it's a thing," Matt said. He stood up and picked up his cane from where he'd left it, though he folded it up and put it in his jacket. Foggy knew he didn't need it, so he wasn't worried. "Anyways, come on, we still have cases to get to."
Foggy snorted but stood and got back to his own office. He did have stuff he had to do, after all.

Elsewhere, Athena was doing a walkthrough of her installations. Everything was set up and beautiful, so she just wanted to check on things like the Arc reactor housing and the lighting on the old documents. She really didn't even have to be there; it was one of her days off, but she couldn't help but want to just walk around without having something else she needed to do.
Tony had shown up to inspect the Arc and make sure that it was behaving fine. Not that he thought it would misbehave, but still. This was the first one that wasn't under his direct purview, which made him a little antsy.
Athena grinned a bit when she saw him.
"Babysitting it, Mr. Stark?" she asked, going over. |
"And making sure it's not going to blow up," Tony told her. He was even mostly joking.
"I would hope you would have made sure of that before you donated it," Athena replied, grinning a bit. "So, is it all in good shape so far?"
"So far," Tony agreed, settling back on his heels. "No problems yet." He grinned briefly.
"Good to hear," Athena said. She grinned. "I'd hate to have it happen to my galleries after I spent so much time putting them together in the first place."
"Your galleries will be just fine," Tony told her with a little grin. "No problem."
"Good," Athena said. She paused for a moment. "I was just doing a bit of a walk through, if you wanted to join me."
Tony shrugged. "Might as well," he agreed, standing and brushing off his slacks. He was currently avoiding some paperwork Pepper had been trying to wrangle him into doing, so he was up for any kind of excuse to not go back to the tower right then.
Athena grinned a bit when they walked past the display of original sketches done by Steve Rogers, and the table set up with pencils and paper for kids to make their own sketches.
"This part was an excellent idea," she commented. "One of my interns suggested it." |
"Huh." Tony gave it a quick once-over. "Nice. Cute." He grinned a bit. "Seems like a thing that kids would like. I think."
"It definitely is," Athena said, nodding. "Though we keep having to replace the pencils and crayons, the littler kids steal them."
Tony made a face. "Magpies," he said. "But for colors rather than shinies."
Athena laughed a little.
"At least crayons are easy to replace," she said. "I'd rather buy a bunch of those than try to replace something more valuable." |
Tony nodded his agreement of that. "Clint steals marshmallows and hoards them like a squirrel," he told her, grinning.
Athena blinked.
"Marshmallows?" she asked. "Why marshmallows?" |
"He shoots them at people when they least suspect it," Tony told her dryly. "He's a menace."
Athena blinked, and then started laughing a bit.
"That's amazing," she said. "What, does he have a slingshot or something?" |
"He has several," Tony told her, grinning. "He's even got a giant green and purple one."
"Oh please tell me he loads that one with Jumbo Jet Puffed," Athena said, grinning. "I need to know that he slings giant marshmallows at the rage monster."
"Of course he does," Tony said, rolling his eyes. "He even got these godawful green Jumbo Jet Puffed that came out for St. Patty's. And shot those at the rage monster."
Athena laughed.
"That's amazing," she said. "I kind of want to meet him just for that." |
