Somewhat Back from an Extended Hiatus
Good Afternoon Mene Community! I am WinterWolfGoddess, though some of the older members of the community know me as Winter, Winty, Wolfeh (I FORGOT BARTUC CALLED ME THIS OMG HOW COULD I?!) or Amber. This username I have actually had since elementary school on my first computer on Neopets. I have since retired it, and now go by Avaleicia in other communities.
I was an active member of Gaia Online who was apparently a pretty well known Exchanger and Vendor 2004-2007 (possibly earlier. I no longer remember and I did not even realize how well known until I left) when I decided to leave that community and come over to Menewsha in April of 2007. After graduating high school and starting college, my time slowly started to get occupied by IRL events and responsibilities and 2011 was really the last year I was fully active in the community. I have since then only popped my head in occasionally but haven't really participated. What have I been up to since 2011? IRL, I have since graduated college, moved halfway across the USA, and started my Career and in the process of a 3 level job promotion. Online? In 2011 my big distraction oust side of IRL from Mene was League of Legends and I still play the game. I then picked up DayZ. I also play PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds recently. The latter two I do not play often though and prefer to watched streamed, so I am also part of a few Twitch communities. I am not particularly good at LoL or PUBG but I enjoy them. I hope to get back to being somewhat involved in Menewsha and relearning the inventory and item system once again. I do not expect to be as active as I once was, but I do miss it here and you guys. |
what a wonderful welcome back to mene introduction! it's so lovely to see you again congratulations on evrrything especially the promotion! |
Haha, I thought it was a little much, but why not? I see a lot of new names on here.
It is great to see you again as well! Thank you so much. The promotion is not set in stone but I am already serving the job function. Bureaucracies. It will take time but I am excited. :) |
I think it was beautifully done! and any promotion deserv3es congrats and acknowledgements i'm sure you will be officially notified soon. i'll keep you in my good thoughts! yeah there are a lot of new people and a lot of oldies but goodies around =3 |

Roachi Of course I do! I love it to this day still <3 I will take a look at your shop later. I just spent quite a while going through my inventory and listing all of my available duplicates. I don't even know the selling prices for anything! Haha. I do not care that much thogh.

Winter!! [glomp] I remember you~ :D
Welcome back! |
I remember you as well <3
Thank you for the warm welcome back. :) It is good to see some familiar faces, especially after going through my friends list. |
It's really nice seeing new faces returning. People are finishing up school or their kids are growing up and they're having more time to chat [eager]

I will not lie when I say a big contributor to me coming back has been moving halfway across the USA, even if that was two years ago. It has been hard on me being away from so many of my friends and Menewsha always did feel like a community to me. After doing my case study on Menewsha for Anthropology my freshman year of college I wish I had the perspective I have now: Menewsha really helped me get somewhat out of my comfort zone and develop lasting relationships with people outside of an online community in college, as weird as it sounds. I have been struggling since I moved and though I feel speak frequently with my friends back home, its not the exactly the same, especially with time zone differences and our working schedules.

I'll be more then happy to help ya out, whenever your ready <3 I am a stalker of the exchange and MP, so can give you fairly accurate values on pricing, just ask <3 :) Glad to see ya back :) |
This is your official welcome back to Menewsha.
Poor Roachi, I'm a crazed stalker of the Exchange. |
Well I'm glad you came back to us. I recognized you right away when i saw you posting around.. or maybe it was when i was poking around in the members list for fun. Did you know its fun to poke that thing? xD Anyways its great to have you back i look forward to chatting with you ^^
(twitch steals some of my off menewsha time as well.) Though I don't play any of those three games i know exactly what they are. Have you played H1Z1: king of the kill yet? It's pretty much the same exact thing as player unknown's battle ground mixed with dayz. xD and I used to play lol in 2011 briefly and than was all.... eh... meh. nah. moving on! |

Winter - Wow you made a college report about mene? That's so cool.

moving can be so stressful and difficult to overcome. being a military brat then enlisting I have learned to be a professional mover. but still I have a problem sometimes in new situations. that is why mene is so dear to my heart. sounds silly iguess but it's 'home' to me. |
It's home to me as well. ^^
I wish I had your moving skills... I'll need them in a few months [lol] |
I will help =3 |
Shadami: haha I probably both to be honest. I have been poking around more often for a few weeks now. I have played king of the kill but it is so arcadey and I have been following playerunknown since his original mods. Him selling the use of the formula to H1Z1 really saved that game though.
The Wandering Poet: haha yes!!! Back in 2009. Intro to Anthropology was my first college course despite being a finance major and the professor gave us a case study and we got to pick the social environment. She was intrigued by ones like ours. *Hime*: I saw that! So many are coming back and I hope it continues. I see Winter Wind still hasn't returned though :( hummy: this was my first major move and luckily I did not have much haha! But it was always like another home. Sorry if I missed anyone I got off early today because my sister is buying a new place and has an inspection and we carpool so I decided to take a half day too. I'm now in the pool sunbathing LOL. So I'm on my phone. Yeah there is a little bit more to the moving. Across country story but... Colorado pays very well compared to the Southeast even if the housing market is a nightmare for buyers |
|
Winter - That's really cool.
Ah cross country. That's about what I'll be doing. Washington to North Carolina @[email protected] |
I went from Georgia to Colorado.
North Carolina is lovely though <3 I miss the South East at times quite a bit. I plan to eventually move back possibly to Charleston. |
