Yes especially if she's clearly 14 and your like 40 something. Sure it's accurate to the character but OMG so gross.

Silver Storm 04-06-2018 04:33 AM

Oh my word yes! Poor girl was probably super freaked out.

Nephila 04-06-2018 04:53 AM

She was younger than m daughter and ya, mama instinct just came out. We nomed some nachos till we could find her friend group, she was a really nice young lady.

Silver Storm 04-06-2018 04:56 AM

Well I am glad she had you looking out for her. I would have jumped to her aid.

Hey how did that Hela Cosplay turn out. I remember you talking about it but for the life of me I can't remember if I've seen the final result.

I finished the bodysuit part, but I was struggling with the antlers, so I kinda scrapped the idea for now. I was also in the middle of moving and I had to put up my sewing machine and such. :/

It will be finished someday! Just not any time soon. xD

Nephila 04-09-2018 08:23 AM

I watched a few tutorials on youtube when I made my Maleficent horns.

I wonder if there's any for the Hela thing. It's a crazy head piece. I think it was CG in a lot of instances in the movie.

Silver Storm 04-10-2018 03:53 AM

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a tutorial out there. Surely someone else has attempted it and succeeded.

Amane 05-27-2018 02:43 PM

Cackling Maleficent-style as I fill my group chat with jokes that make everyone groan is what I call a life well-lived.

Nephila 05-28-2018 08:58 AM

lol sounds like something I'd do.

Amane 05-28-2018 04:59 PM

Puns work like a charm.

Silver Storm 05-29-2018 07:56 PM

Yes they do. And always make my boyfriend groan.

Amane 05-30-2018 06:45 PM

A new friend gave me a gateway to fill the chat with fish puns, and that is a kindness I shall not forget.

Nephila 05-31-2018 02:53 AM

It was a sink or swim proposal.

I dressed up as Starfire one time and this guy immediately looked at me and said, "Hey, do you like eating?" And I was like, "Yeah...?!" And he was like, "How would you like me to take you out to dinner then?"

I was showing a lot of skin, but NOT enough to make me date someone on the spot like that. My mom was there and she was clueless about what he was saying but she eventually came to and was like, "NO!"

Nephila 05-31-2018 04:12 AM

Eww! Convention creepers are like the worse kind. Seriously. The balls to hit on someone in-front of their mother too. like wtf!

One of my recent ones was when my daughter and I were dressed as Maleficent and Evil-Lyn. We dubbed ourselves "The bad witches" as we stomped around looking through Pokemon stuff. (her fandom not mine) Anyway, some old guy (older than me at 36) dressed up as one of the face clouds from Mario said.

"I'll be the fluffy filling in your evil lesbian Oreo." *cringe*

In unison me and my kiddo were like "That's my girl/mom." And walked our geeky butts right out of there and searched for Chris. Like we were only separated from our "Man owner" for 20 mins and cringe happened. Cringe never happens like that when he's around. I guess because he's big with a huge red beard so the creepers avoid contact with someone so super masculine.

Lilith kept hissing at clouds for a week after that. Hilarious.

Oh wow. Yeah the only one I have been to, I was never hit on but then again I wasn't in costume. Plus I had my boyfriend with me and most of the time our friend Eric who is pretty tall and was dressed as Papa Amadeus from the band Ghost.

I love Lilith's response and I would be hissing at clouds too.

Hiya, silver storm *waves*

Amane 06-06-2018 12:30 PM

I see Lilith and first think of the dark and scary Lilith of astrology.

Chrysothemis 06-07-2018 05:08 PM

I recognize this hangout name~!

You guys are on Dappervolk too, right? I think I met some of you there. How are ya'll doing?

Amane 06-10-2018 01:18 PM

Keno makes a Nerd Hotel on every site she joins, and she's on a lot of sites.

Nephila 06-10-2018 02:17 PM

That's who she was named for. And the Lilith's Fair. There we're a lot of "Evil" Named kids in her school year so it didn't build as much character as I thought it would with an odd name.

Seriously their were two Damien's, a Morrigan, a Lucia and a Raiden (k not an evil name, but named for a street fighter character. srly lol) Oh and there was a Lilith in both the grade above and below her. I must be from the Witchy part of town. XD

Amane 06-10-2018 03:31 PM

Damien's a nice name. [heart]

I know there are children out there named after Homestuck characters.

Hey hummy-san. How are you doing?

---------- Post added 06-10-2018 at 01:59 PM ----------

See I hear Lilith and think of the protagonist from Seasons 3-4 of Supernatural. Though I really like the name and I have always like Damien. In fact in high school, I had a beta fish named Damien.
