Just the truth, sweety. *hugs*
And I struggle with acne too. I use birth control (which I use also for mood swings) and salicylic acid to treat it.

See that brown dot? It has salicylic acid on it. It sits on a zit and makes it go away. (I'm the blonde, not the adorable Indian girl....that's my friend)

Be thankful for all your body parts and love them. Be grateful that you still have those parts in your body. Other people have lost an arm or a leg and whatnot. [=3]

Start loving your body and it will love you back. Come on! Hug your own self! -huggles self lovingly- [XD]

THIS [heart]
This is amazing <3 I've been feeling a little down about my appearance as of late since it's summer and bikini season and all. This just picked me up and brightened my night. Thank you [hug]

Nephila 05-26-2014 04:47 AM

Oooh I'll do more than hug myself. [twisted]

lol jk!

fireprincess 05-26-2014 01:12 PM

Congrats! Do you mind me asking what you're doing to lose weight? *trying to lose 50lbs to get healthy*

Lexadis 05-26-2014 10:16 PM

It's taking long for me (it took 5 months to lose 7kg xD), but what I'm doing is to replace dinner with fruits, and counting calories I consume. And then swimming, walking (pedometers can help a great deal!) and following workout videos [=3] Oh and motivation! Good luck for you!

steelmagghia 05-26-2014 10:24 PM

I lost twelve pounds in three weeks by cutting out all carbs that weren't vegetables (white potatoes and corn do not count as vegetables) or fruits.

---------- Post added 05-26-2014 at 05:24 PM ----------

Also, bellydancing.

fireprincess 05-26-2014 10:42 PM

How much is 7kg in pounds exactly? [:?] *has no idea [sweat]* Do you eat a big or small breakfast/lunch?
I'm counting calories with this app called Lose It which is really great, and I love fruit, so I'll have to try that. Have any videos or exercises (like Zumba) you would recommend?

steelmagghia 05-26-2014 10:45 PM

Fireprincess, that is approximately 15.4 pounds.

fireprincess 05-26-2014 11:04 PM

Wow! Go Lexa!!
Thanks steel :)

My doctor told me that it's healthy if you lose a pound a week, but anything over that will more than likely make you sick

steelmagghia 05-26-2014 11:20 PM

It kind of depends on how much you have to lose. My aunt (also a doctor) said that as long as you're feeding your body good nutrition (fruits, veggies, and meat are all good things), drinking plenty of water then it's okay to lose more, especially since I weigh SO MUCH.

I'll probably try belly dancing because it looks fun! [yes]
Woah! That's awesome you lost 12 pounds that fast. Besides fruits/veggies what other types of food do you eat?

I love water, so I'm ok on that front [lol]

steelmagghia 05-27-2014 12:07 AM

Belly dancing is a TON of fun. Basically, any spice is okay as long as it doesn't have sugar or flour in it is fine. Any meat, except for preserved meat is okay. All veggies that are not potatoes (sweet potatoes are okay) or corn are okay. All fruits are okay, but should be somewhat limited. For the first month, they say to limit dairy, too, but you can go back on it afterward if you want. Eggs are fine, too. Nuts are fine in small amounts. And that's about it. It cuts out all grains, sugar, flour, and most processed foods. Which really is a thousand times more healthy for you. You can have tea and coffee if you don't put sugar in them. I did water with an infuser with fruit in it.

fireprincess 05-27-2014 12:33 AM

I don't really drink milk all that much unless it's with breakfast or something chocolaty anyways, so I'll be ok with little to no dairy for a while. It sounds like a pretty hard diet. Is it fairly easy to follow and stay on track? With all of the limitations it sounds like you can't eat much

steelmagghia 05-27-2014 12:41 AM

It's hard in that I really really really like carbohydrates and I miss them a lot on the diet. But it's easier than a lot of other diets because you don't have to calorie count, try to measure everything, or eat weird concoctions that probably aren't good for you.

There are quite a few recipes you can make with it. And there are a lot of websites that give recipe ideas. If you google "strict Paleo" recipes. And I did do a couple of cheats. I used butter, which is technically still dairy. And I allowed myself a tablespoon of Italian dressing on salads, even though it has a little sugar in it.

Here is a link that shows what one girl did for thirty days: Whole30: Day-By-Day! [UPDATED 1/31/12: Hey! I... | Award-Winning Paleo Recipes | Nom Nom Paleo

fireprincess 05-27-2014 01:39 AM

That sounds pretty intense. I'm not sure I'm ready for that since I'm just really getting into the whole diet thing, but maybe later

steelmagghia 05-27-2014 02:19 AM

Let me tell you, the first two weeks are AWFUL! Like the worst withdrawals ever. But I actually found it easier to stick to than any other diet I've done. Miserable as hell. And I whined ALL THE TIME. But I didn't cheat.

fireprincess 05-27-2014 02:35 AM

I will definitely keep that diet in mind! Some of those foods did look pretty good.

steelmagghia 05-27-2014 02:41 AM

Really yummy fresh foods!

jellysundae 05-27-2014 02:13 PM

Hehe, yep, I can attest to the fact that she whined. [ninja] But it worked, didn't it! So it was totally worth it. \o/
