Also FML with work... I hate working :(

Me too... I am starting to hate my job. I only took it because I needed the income. I am a nurse working at a fast food place... I hope I get this job I just interviewed for. I have to go for fingerprint next week. I'd rather work as a babysitter than work in fast food.... grr. [gonk]

Ooh yeah, antifungal baths are a bitch. Just make sure you don't get it too!

I'm sorry about work, hon. *hugs*

Haha, she was actually part of the lesson for an education class. It was all about how training a dog is similar to teaching. The kids had to try to teach her a trick that she didn't already know.

CosmicFoxKitty 09-16-2014 01:14 PM

Yea it's pretty bad, my baby sister has them.

And it's okay I'll deal with work.

Pistachio_Moustache 09-16-2014 03:51 PM

We have a cat.
That I have taught to sit on command.
xD

sjacklene 09-17-2014 12:01 AM

My dogs know how to sit and "sit pretty" (begging basically; standing up on the back legs and standing straight up) It was something my sister taught her dog and one of my dogs caught on because at the time she taught her dog, they were all housed together.

Mystic 09-17-2014 12:06 AM

I have goats....they don't do much as far as tricks go yet.

I had a cat that used to sit, stay, sit pretty, lay down, and a few other tricks.

I work at a daycare, not the best job out there.

steelmagghia 09-17-2014 12:09 AM

Goooooats. I love goats! Especially pygmies, even if they are kind of buttheads sometimes. :D
Okay, that is all I have energy for. I'm gonna go to bed now!

CosmicFoxKitty 09-17-2014 12:10 AM

Don't know how I feel about my avi currently.

A child pooped herself.

One has a major rash...

I'm probably going to get yelled at tomorrow...

They want me to take over a classroom by myself...

blah..

That would be heaven to me! I love kids. :) It sounds lot better to me than working at Wendy's. Not that it is that bad... I just don't like it and it just isn't for me. I have to wear pants and I don't wear pants. I wear skirts.

Pygmies are my favorite too. I would love to have one! :D But I live in the city.

Mystic 09-17-2014 12:19 AM

I have pygmy hybrids. They're only 10 lbs. Cute but lots of work.

I wear pants... well when I have to. I don't own skirts or shorts really... but it's not a job for many it takes a lot of time and patience...

Maxipuff 09-17-2014 02:48 PM

I like that my job doesn't have a very strict dress code at all. Nothing religious or political, and that's it.
They said I'm technically allowed to wear a swimsuit, but it's not recommended. xD
(I would never.)

CosmicFoxKitty 09-17-2014 02:55 PM

Where do you work Maxi? Like what kind of job?

Our daycare you have to wear kakis and the t-shirts they provide you with.

jellysundae 09-17-2014 04:48 PM

Maxi, this means you can wear your Rilakkuma onesie to work! You should totally do this!! [:O]

Pistachio_Moustache 09-17-2014 04:51 PM

My job has a strict dress code.
We have uniforms, and one can get in trouble for wearing the wrong shoes, or pants too tight.
Dx

jellysundae 09-17-2014 05:13 PM

That's good, really. Companies wants you to look a certain way as you're representing them when you have that uniform on. What frustrates me is the punitive punishments that get dished out when someone isn't able to meet the dress code for reasons beyond their control. Of course you always get idiots who intentionally push the boundaries, just for the sake of it, then create a massive fuss when they're called out for it. I don't mean them though, I'm talking about the genuine problems that do occur, like you couldn't wear the regulation shoes because you went to put them on and found the cat had puked in them...that kind of thing.

But I suppose the majority of companies tend to treat their staff like numbers on a list rather than individuals, and have blanket rules for everything to stop their brains from exploding, because dealing with things on a case-by-case basis generally isn't realistic, and it's always the good guy who suffers when that happens. : /

Pistachio_Moustache 09-17-2014 05:32 PM

My work shoes fell apart, and I wore my running shoes.
They have a strip of pink.
I got called in, so that my manager could tell me that I was wearing the wrong shoes.
I looked at her and replied, "I know. My other shoes fell apart. These were my only other option."

jellysundae 09-17-2014 07:04 PM

I guess all you can ever do is get in there first when you have to break regulations like that. It might not change the outcome, but if you tell people yourself, immediately, it looks better than them finding out later.

Hey, what's to policy on bare feet? [ninja] Though that's being totally passive aggressive and behaving like the people I mentioned earlier who intentionally flout the rules, bad jelly! ><

sjacklene 09-17-2014 11:36 PM

I have to wear black pants, the shirts they provide(if I need more than 2 I have to buy them), a visor(which I hate... It is so in the way), and shoes from a specific company(shoes for Crews). I cannot work in any other shoes other than those.

The Wandering Poet 09-17-2014 11:48 PM

That specific that it's a specific shoe? Gee... sponsor much?

sjacklene 09-18-2014 12:07 AM

It is a specific brand. There are different styles of shoes we can choose from but if we don't buy(and wear) the shoes for crews brand, we can't work.

The Wandering Poet 09-18-2014 12:20 AM

Oh brand. They probably sell out to that company for extra income then. like ads on a website

jellysundae 09-18-2014 12:42 AM

Maybe, maybe not, it's work wear. Could well be to do with insurance or something like that.

steelmagghia 09-18-2014 12:54 AM

Shoes for Crews are actually recommended by insurance companies. They're slip resistant, like to an extent greater than a regular shoe.
Also, I am so grateful my school doesn't much care what I look like. [lol]
