I just saw Enchanted last night.
It was..well...OK. It was watchable..
The IDEA of disney characters coming into modern-day, un-animated life is a great idea, 9.5/10 ( 0.5 taken off only because it wasn't that much of an original idea, anyone could have thought of it.)
But the ending really dissapointed me. Gezzel (The princess) fell in love, and married some guy twice her age with a kid who had a girlfriend instead of her loving, handsome, courageous prince who risked his life to rescue her, AND that little btch GOT the man by literally stealing him away from his girlfriend. Seriously, kissed and madeout with him right infront of her while everyone was like "Awwe, what a happy ending." And I'm like WTFMAN?! THE GIRLFRIEND IS RIGHT THERE! WHAT IS SHE, WORTHLESS OR SOMETIHNG?! GOSH.
So apperantly the writers had to 'save' this girlfriend, and they did it last-minute by spontaneously making the prince and the girlfriend fall in love in a single minute before the movie ended, and how? Gezzel dropped her slipper while running out to save her new love near the action scene, and somehow the slipper fit the girlfriends foot. I know this doesn't make a bit of sense, my describing skills suck, but I'm enjoying taking out my anger within this little rant which nobody will ever read. :3
Mwahahaha.
So, the MOVIE, I geuss...
7/10.
Maybe 6.5/10
It could have been done much much better.

I just saw Hairspray!!! I love the music and songs in it, but the start of the movie was kind of slow. And Link feel in love way too fast. He was a bit of a jerk too. John Travolta was the best ever in it!!!

But I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 starts!!!

Professor Lily 12-25-2007 05:37 PM

I just saw Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause last night. I think I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.

aonith 12-25-2007 05:57 PM

The last movie I saw was "National Treasure: Book of Secrets". I must say that I really enjoyed the first part, but the second one looked pretty odd. And the ending was pertty pood, seemed like author had no imagination left and in the end he copied almost everything from the first part. I guess I will give only 6 out of 10 for this movie.

Akstar 12-25-2007 08:27 PM

Hm...Natinal Treasure: Book of Secrets. 6 out of 10, there's spots that could have been done better. Yet at least it seems to hint there might be a third.

gato 12-25-2007 11:23 PM

The last movie I saw was Madagascar. I thought it was hilarious; I couldn't stop laughing at the antics of the zoo animals! And the graphics were cute (my mom, who was watching it with me, thought so too!). :] So I'd give it 4/5.

zigbigadorlube 12-26-2007 04:26 AM

Well... I've watched so many movies today! The family was around so we just kept watching movies...

First we watched Robots, then Shrek 3, then The Incredibles, and now I'm watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with my half sister.

If it was up to me though I'd probably be watching something else, or at least something that I haven't already seen a bunch of times before but meh... Whatever. ^^;

blind_phoenix 12-26-2007 04:55 AM

What A Girl Wants.

I love this movie, it's so cute!!! Amanda is perfect for this role. And I love Collin Ferth(sp).

I'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars!!!

Enchanted
I loved it, even more so the dragon was awesome.

EbilKitty 12-27-2007 02:17 AM

I just saw POTC 3 last night, again (saw it once before). For some reason I didn't like it as much this time, and it's almost painful to only give it 2/5 stars. I loved both the first and the second movie, but for some reason some of the magic was lost in the third one. I don'y quite know how to explain it. The second movie was best IMO.

Oh, I just remember that I saw National Treasure (the first one) as well last night, one of my favorites :D 4/5 stars.

icey_paradise 12-27-2007 05:49 AM

Sweeny Todd, and I would give it sadly, a 6/10 even though it was really awesome! The blood could have looked realer than it did (it looked like paint, it was just too bright for actual blood.) Other than that, I loved it!

EbilKitty 12-27-2007 11:15 PM

I just saw The Princess Bride for the millionth (or so) time  It's such a great movie, light yet with an interesting and unusual plot. I love it :D 4/5 stars.

Nahalethe 12-28-2007 01:57 PM

Sweeney Todd - 8/10

Atonement - 3/10

A i 12-28-2007 05:01 PM

not sure whether ive posted this film..but..
Dead Silence

i give it a rate of 6.5/10...it wasnt bad, and it wasnt that good either...its actually more shocking than frightening...its considered as the first ghost movie i watched after a long time, but yet it couldn't scare me much..since, it was just ok..the storyline isnt so bad, at least theres actions from the very beginning, so a bonus for that...overall, is just ok.. =)

sidums 12-28-2007 06:17 PM

Last movie I saw was Sweeny Todd. It was really funny, in a way gory twisted kind of way! I had only seen poster advertisements for the movie, so I did not know what it was about. I especially did not expect it to be a musical. But given Johnny Depp's performance in this movie, as well a few of the other actors/actresses, I would give this movie an eight out of ten. :D

Parinia 12-29-2007 02:39 AM

The Reaping : Pretty cool movie.
Could've been better but some really nice explosions and general creepiness.

aimi sakuko 12-29-2007 05:41 AM

blind_phoenix 12-29-2007 04:31 PM

Last movie I saw was Death Note.

I can never get enough of that movie. Ken'ichi Matsuyama is one of ma favorite actors and he plays L perfectly.

I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.

aimi sakuko 12-29-2007 06:08 PM

The last movie I saw was Pan's Labyrinth, directed by Guillermo del Toro. I know I was kind of late seeing the movie since it actually came out in theaters during winter last year, but I'm definitely glad that I decided to watch it. While I wouldn't say that Pan's Labyrinth was my favorite movie ever, I can't deny that it was probably the best movie I have ever seen. I know that might sound confusing, but it's true! I mean, I'm sure the rest of you have seen less than stellar movies that you enjoyed a lot more than a well-produced movie. Like Spaceballs.

But seriously, I highly recommend Pan's Labyrinth and everyone should take the time to watch it. Don't be discouraged by the subtitles. The movie drags you in and you won't be able to stop watching. Either way, I know that many people here enjoy anime and are used to subtitles anyway, so it won't bother them at all. Also, no one should hesitate to watch the movie because Guillero del Toro dislikes using CGI in his movies. His mythical creatures are just as good, if not better, than any of the species/monsters that appear in Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia movies.

As for the plot, I really don't want to spoil it. I didn't know anything about the movie going into it and it was really great to watch, not knowing what would happen next. But basically, the story is about a young girl named Ofelia who travels with her mother to live with her mother's new husband. Her stepfather is a cruel man who tortures rebels, as well as innocent civilians. Ofelia befriends her stepfather's maid, Mercedes, but there is more to her than first meets the eye. Gah, I really should stop explaining the story right now because I feel like it would give too much away. Just trust me on this one, it's really, really amazing. :D

The one thing that I want to warn you about though, is that the movie was advertised as a fantasy adventure. While there are fantasy elements in the movie, I feel that the trailers were somewhat misleading. Most of the movie actually takes place in the real world and deals with the horrors of war that take place around Ofelia. The fantasy elements of the movie play an important role, but not as much as the trailers might lead you to believe. This isn't a bad thing though! The movie is perfectly executed and beautifully directed. Don't pass this one up!

ive watched Ratatouille! ..i know kinda late, but thats what my sis downloaded XD
so i give it an 8/10
at first i thought it was totally boring, but it wasnt..its quite fun, and worth a watch =)

Darth Mudkip 12-30-2007 08:18 PM

The last movie i saw was Sweeney Todd. I would give it three starts. Over all it was pretty good but it lacks in comparison to the play version to it.

oHsoDemandinG 12-31-2007 02:45 AM

The lastest movie I saw was "I am Legend". It was okay but the ending really sucked for me. Also somethings happened that made me mad. Bt the highlight was seeing Will Smith with no shirt. Oh la la. I'd give it a 6/10

Sparrow 12-31-2007 07:04 AM
