last film i saw was Lost & Delirious.
good film, a bit too dramatic at the end. i didn't see fit for such an ending. so i'd rate it a 8.5/10 |
Last movie I saw on DVD was Raise the Red Lantern. It was a beautiful looking film, but was kind of depressing. I'd give it three stars out of five stars.
The last movie I saw at the theater was X-Men Origins. It was good enough for me to like it, but I probably wouldn't buy it. And probably shouldn't see it again. xP So I give it three out of five stars. |
El Abuelo/The Grandfather
2/5 Watched this in Spanish class. It was kind of lame. It gets it's more-than-zero rating because of its silliness and the ridiculous hat that lady wears. |
Sleepwalking
4/5 It was... different? I liked it, though. It stars AnnaSophia Robb, Charlize Theron, Nick Stahl, Woody Harrelson... This girl's mom leaves her with her uncle while the mom takes off to parts unknown. Well, the girl's uncle gets evicted, and she gets taken by child services. They have a visit for her birthday and decide to just take off. They end up at her grandpa's house. Her grandpa is a total jerk. Well, things happen, and her uncle kills her grandpa. Then, he takes her back where they came from, and she is reunited with her mom. He takes off, though, instead of going to jail. Who knows where he'll end up... He's such a sweet guy. I would've felt bad if he did end up in jail. |
The Emperor's New Groove : 4/5
The Love Guru 1.5/5 - The jokes were too forced, Austin Powers is better me'thinks :P |
I saw Wolverine last night and was really disappointed. The story conflicted with the comic a bit, the CGI was really poor and the love story was a bit harlequin romancey. I would advise netflixing it over going to see it in the theater.

I watched Vanilla Sky last night. It was alright, but really confusing up until the last half hour or so. The ambiguity of the ending pissed me off though, even though it was probably best left that way.
Also, Cameron Diaz's acting was really good. She was a seriously crazy bitch. 4/5 |
Toxic Avenger. It was epic radness and awesomeness and hilariousness and stuff. Also has some "awwwww" moments. Anyways, it was really cool and I'm givin' it a 10.5/5.

I watched something that is pretty old for the first time
Love Actually Even with all the cursing, the story is a really beautiful one that sends a very good message across. People call it a fairytale but I think that the storyline is pretty real. Or the story lines really since there are so many stories going on at ones time. Its really hard to write a comment about the movie as I didn't feel as if it was a movie. It was more like a series of snippets featuring so many different couples. I thought the cast was stellar! But that's a given since they are all practically first class actors. I have to say that my absolute favourites of the cast would have to be Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman and Laura Linney. Hugh Grant as the Prime Minister was really really weird and yet kind of fitting. I love how he was so carefree most of the time and his dry sarcastic humour was very fitting for the character! I also liked Alan rickman because his character was very real! I mean I do not like that he gave another woman something other than his wife but it was a realistic situation and I kept thinking about how he is actually Snape. The comparison is funny ^^'' Laura Linney's character was very cute. I mean, I kept thinking how she is so indecisive about her decisions. It was really sad that she had practically no time to care for herself and had to care for her brother so much. Her love story was one of the saddest. The movie was full of ups and downs with sad and happy endings. Rating: I would give it a 8/10 :) |
I'm currently watching Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
The battle for Minas Tirith has just begun and all seems lost. Oh noes! What will happen? xD I like this movie a lot, but it's really, really long. 9/10 |
I just watched The Matrix in mythology. It was so good! The action scenes were awesome, and the dialouge and acting were amazing. Not to mention the whole plot was super cool, and really tightly woven together. A few parts were a little off, but it astill gets a 9.5/10.
And I watched Changling over the weekend while I worked on stuff... Holy cow, that movie was emotionally intense. It's probably my favorite drama ever. The acting was some of the best I've ever seeen, and I almost cried like six times. It's hard to watch, though... It's so sad and in-your face. There was an execution scene that nearly made my heart stop, it was so poigant and well-done. The last line was super cliche, though, and some parts dragged. 8/10 |
I just watched Star Trek a few days ago and I would have to give it a 7.5 out of 10. Sure the special effects were good and the writing was decent, but it's story was pretty corny to me.

I just went to the movies with my mother yesterday and watched Angels & Demons
I know a lot of people have already read the book but i have not which is why I think that the movie was really good. I mean its like the Da Vinci Code to me because I watched that before I read the book and it seemed like they were two completely different stories. I really like that Tom hanks is Robert Langdon and I hope that in the next two movies he will continue playing the character. He is such a good actor that guy! I also like that Obi-wan Kenobi is the Carmalengo. I think they picked a really good actor for that role as well! The rest of the cast are people I have never seen in movies before but they were just as good. I thought that this move was good because it seemed like the filming was incredibly hard. I mean to be able to film in those historical landmarks and bringing us through passages and hidden doorways with a mix of mysterious music, it really seemed as if I was walking through the churches in Rome. I mean the story is good because it is based of a book but the movie is also good because of the way they had portrayed it. The images of people dying stuck onto you and they were vivid and very memorable. I really shut my eyes thinking about it when they happened. I think I srota gasped a loud in the movie theater ^^'' And if you think about it, the whole plot of the movie was less than a day but it seemed like it was a few days! The end was definitely unexpected and throughout the movie you will have so many mixed emotions. I am an atheist so um, I definitely enjoyed the movie a little more than I really should have :P I sometimes felt a connection to Robert Langdon :P. I would rate this movie highly because I have not read the book and the beliefs of the story are something that links back to myself. Rating: 9.5/10 |
I saw Terminator Salvation on Friday :)
I'm not one of those people to go around bashing a movie I wasn't ridiculously excited to see so I won't. I would give it a 6/10. :| It was unbelievably cheesy most of the time and I'm ok with that. The explosions made up for some it. I probably won't watch it ever again so...... |
Fled
4/5 I had never heard of it before. I do like Laurence Fishburne. It was interesting. It had a lot of plot twists. I never knew what to expect, so I liked that. Click 5/5 I'm definitely an Adam Sandler fan. I saw the movie a while ago when it first came out on DVD, but I didn't really pay much attention to it. I loved it this time. It made me laugh and it actually made me cry. Good movie. |
I've watched a few movies recently..
Little Miss Sunshine - 10/10 This is one of my favorites. It's adorable and quirky in all the right ways. The casting is absolutely perfect and the message is sweet and comes off as genuine rather than sappy. <3 I Am Legend - 7/10 SPOILEROverall, I thought it was pretty well done. The CG effects were as bad as everyone said, but if you ignored them the story was interesting enough. I do like the general concept quite a bit. Role Models - 6/10 It was better than I expected it to be, but overall I didn't love it. A lot of the dialogue ended up lost on me due to the crappiness of my laptop speakers, but I didn't get the impression that most of the movie was that funny anyway. Nonetheless, it exceeded expectations and got a few laughs even if it was formulaic and predictable. Star Trek - 8/10 I don't think I have ever watched a full episode of Star Trek, ever. It's just not my thing. But the boyfriend asked me to come watch it with him and I reluctantly agreed. Surprisingly, I actually liked it quite a bit; points for making an enjoyable movie even for non-Trekkies. |
I watched The curious case of Benjamin Button. I like it, I would give it 4/5 stars.
|
I'm pretty sure the last movie I saw was Miss Potter... it's a good story, but its a bit too mushy and boring for my taste... 3/5
|
Juno 4 Shiny stars(:
Slumdog Millionaire 5 Shiny Stars(: The Uninvited 3 shiny stars(: :] |
Damnit, Mene nommed my post.
Interview with the Vampire - 4/10. Never seen this before, because I live under a rock. Aside from Kirsten Dunst's particularly good performance I found the movie to be utterly lackluster. Why is everyone so obsessed with Lestat anyway? Drag Me To Hell - 9/10. Despite early suspicions about it being incredibly dumb, I found it a campy horror flick of Evil Dead 2 quality. It had both laughs and scares pleasantly mixed together to make a very, very amusing ride. On the down side, the gross outs were occasionally unnecessary and I didn't like the protagonist one bit. Delightful nonetheless. |
I saw Rush Hour 3 last month!
i'd give it an 8/10 merely because it was not as funny as the first two parts! |
Up - 10/10
It's charming. It does quite a bit of tugging at the heartstrings. It's funny and original. It features talking dogs. What's not to love? |
The last movie I watched was Night at The Museum 2; I give it about a 7 and a half stars. I absolutely loved the first movie and the second movie was good but pale in comparison to the first.

SMALL SPOILER ALERT.
The last movie I watched was Transformers, last night. I have to give it a 9/10. It drew me in quickly, and I was fascinated by the way the machines/vehicles transformed. It left me awestruck. The one thing I didn't like, though, was the girl Sam liked. She was too much of an extra, not really in the movie until towards the middle, she's saving Bumblebee and whatnot. And the part where Sam has to get the cube to the top of the building and he just stares into the girl's eyes. I screamed at the T.V. I was like "WTF DUDE?! RUN UP THE FREAKING BUILDING! KISS THE GIRL LATER!" XD It was still a wonderful movie; one of my immediate favorites.(: |
UP
I give it a 100000000000000/10 5 stars and an A+++++ Its so heartwarming go see ittt |
