The movie I last watched was Percy Jackson and the lightning thief. I did not touch the book so it was pretty awesome as a movie by itself. I know all of my friends who were basing the movie on the book were utterly disappointed but I liked how the movie was a little childish and yet still interesting with surprises here and there. They got some parts of mythology wrong but it was fun guessing what myth was what. I loved how they use all the famous names for the characters like Uma Thurman as Medusa was genius! and making her current was even more genius! She was one sexy Gorgon! Hades was pretty cool too definitely making his two boring older brothers pretty much forgettable. The acting by the kids was just a little 'meh'. Though I have to say that the satyr guy was hilarious! His facial expressions were really good! Percy was fine. Annabeth was pretty and she kicked *ss for a girl Definitely a movie for people who enjoy fantasy and something out of the box. I'm going to give it an 8/10. |
I saw the new Alice in Wonderland movie and the remake of the Crazies.
|
Alice in Wonderland 3D,IMAX..totally the best..I've been 5x's,I'm Depp-obsessed and Tim Burton rocks too...
5 stars for sure!! ---------- New Moon twilight 2,excellent...5 stars |
The Blind Side, 8/10. It is so good.
|
I finally saw American History X, no doubt 10/10, powerful movie, powerful message.
|
Clash of the Titans. Its very well done, could(and probably should) be longer...or made into more movies. Overall, I would give it a 8-9/10.
|
Dr. Horribles Sing-Along Blog. It was epic. Musicals for the win. and happened to love the three main cast members. 10/10 only flaw was length.
|
I watched Sherlock Holmes for the second time last night. Amazing. I love everything they put into it. Great actors, bits of humor in some parts to make it a tiny bit less serious, great plot, and just awesome. 9.9/10. Only flaw was that is if you aren't paying enough attention, it can get a bit confusing. It's a little long, but still. Kudos to the cast and crew.

Aladdin. XD
I'm basically obsessed with that movie, so of course i loved it! <3 I dunno about stars, but, in the words of Iago, on a scale of one to ten, it's an eleven! |
Clash of the titans.
I'd give it a....8. It went TOO fast...like, the really sad scene was not even five minutes into the move...:feesh: |
The last movie I saw was "The Fourth Kind."
Strange.. but it scared the CRAP out of me & I'm a complete horror movie buff. I spent the next couple of nights all upset because I made myself beleive that I was going to be abducted by Aliens. LOL. Silly, I know. Maybe it was because the filmakers claimed that some of the footage in the movie was actual footage of Alien abductions. ^-^ I recommend it though... as long as your not a scared, paranoid freak like me. >D |
Hehe, I've recently watched:
♥The Princess Bride ♥New Moon ♥Somewhere in Time ♥A Walk to Remember ♥Never Back Down ♥Akeelah and the Bee ♥started watching the 1960-something version of Romeo and Juliet in class. ♥^_^ Probably several others in addition to those I listed there. I'm definitely a big film fan! :3 |
I believe it was New Moon. I'd give it an 8. Although I never was a fan of the Twilight series, I decided to give it a try and I like the storyline. Special effects are alright, pretty much what I was expecting.
|
Tim Burtins Alice in Wonderland, it was in normal movie format and i loved it! the effects and idea where pretty cool. i would give it 10/10 in my books.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
...Honestly. Best. Movie. I have probably EVER. SEEN. And I like to consider myself a cinephile, for the record. :ninja: Anyway, if you're looking for big names, you've got it: Dustin Hoffman, Alan Rickman, Rachel Hurd-Wood, and John Hurt. If you want plot, you have it; if you want something that'll keep you thinking, keep you watching... You have it. This is totally the best borderline-gruesome movie... if such movies exist. I loved it, and it was all so intricately... well, magnificent. It's based on the book Perfume by Patrick Suskind (Originally Das Parfum). And totally amazing. Go see it, betch. 10,000/10. |
Saw The black waters of Echo's Pond last night at the drive in in a double feature with The Crazies. I'd give Echo's Pond a solid 7 - basically your everyday slasher film but with a twist which i loved (even tho i'm not normally a slasher film kinda chick) and The Crazies was prolly an 8.5 - very well done! Kinda was like Stephen King if done by George romero imho.
Rented The Fourth Kind a few nights ago and I agree with Alixness it creeped me out! i'm still having dreams about it. 9 outta 10 for sure |
How to train your dragon. I give it a 7. It was pretty good.
|
I saw Repo Men and I would give it a 3/10. It really wasn't that great and I was bored for most of the movie. Jude Law was great though and there were some pretty funny scenes, so I gave it a few points.
|
Meet the Robinsons by Disney and I would give it out of a 10, hmm.... maybe a 6. Not really sure what to rate it. It was a cute story and nice ending and a nice story but ... not really sure. >.>
|
The last movie I saw was "Clash Of The Titans" in the cinema in 3D and I personally would only give it one star. I thought it was boring, plus, the lead character Percius is just a crime against mini-skirts, I had no desire to see that much of his thighs thank you very much.
So, a poor performance for the Titans, especially when The Used was used in the trailer. |
I saw Shutter Island last. It was amazing! I'm not giving anything away, but there were definitely some good twists you would never see coming, even for those who think they can predict a movie. 9 1/2 : 10, only because they could have found someone better then LeoDiCaprio as the lead male role. His acting brought it down slightly.
|
Oh My goodness, I love Shutter Island! I saw it a few weeks ago with a few friends of mine and it was amazing. I have to disagree with your verdict on Di Caprio though, I do love a bit of Leonardo ;)
Anyway, the other night I watched Grease for about the zillionth time and all I can say is that it has gotten better. I love that film, John Travolta in any film is a win, but combined with extremely catchy tunes and dances you just can't fail. 10/10 Grease Two on the other hand was a major fail, though that's a different matter. |
I still haven't seen Shutter Island, but I really want to. I thought it looked really interesting, and I agree with Spasmodic, I really like Leonardo DiCaprio usually.
I'm not sure what movie I last saw, but I very recently watched Knocked Up on my iPod. I actually liked it quite a bit. More than I expected. I expected just another stupid comedy, but it was more mature than that (in an odd way). I liked it because it wasn't punchline-humour. |
I love Knocked Up, I am a huge Seth Rogan fan
Which brings me into the next fil that I saw, Pineapple Express. Major love of that film, a comedy action film is not something I expected to watch but it was amazing. As I said I love Seth Rogan and I felt he played an excellent part in the film. I am suprised I never saw it earlier. 9/10 |
I really like Seth Rogan too. I can't say I've seen a whole lot of his films, but what I have seen I've really enjoyed. None of what I've seen has been the terrible, vapid and mindless comedy that seems to be everywhere nowadays. D: 'Stupid comedy'.
I mean, Pineapple Express was brilliant. It was so absurd, but it just worked really, really well. I think I need to see it again, because I remember loving it, but I can't really remember why anymore. |
