I'm thinking of asking for season 1 for Christmas too, actually. :) I've already watched it, but I really liked the episodes and now that they're not on the NBC website anymore...:(
|
Yeah, this is the kind of show that trying to jump in mid-season 2 would make things confusing. There are just so many characters, so much history, and so many interconnections. Definately try to get it for Christmas, then watch season 2 on the web until you are caught up. Its an excellent series that you'll enjoy!

Ok here's what happened last week (highlight to read):
1. Mohinder is now partners with Nikki 2. Hiro gave in to temptation and kissed Youko, and Kensei saw and went back to his lowlife ways 3. Peter and Caitlin got to Montreal, then Peter used Hiro's power to take them to New York City...in the year 2008...with the city under quarintine That's right, people...the new threat for our heroes is the virus. Hope you all watch tonight! |
i would never miss an episode. i sit on my cousin if he wants to change the channel.
|
Holy Crap today's Episode was sooo good! And 'Adam'...oh wow, I suspected something but didn't know until HE showed up! More detailed rant below...but I will be saying some spoilers so...
Spoilers start: I still feel bad for Hiro falling for Youko and then having to leave her, but he had too all the same. Plus I figured Kensei might have survived, but I wasn't sure until Adam showed his face. This lead to me scream Oh my god! Over and over again... Plus do you guys think Nikki will be the cause of the virus outbreak, and that Mohinder will shoot Noah? Also.. do you think Clair will be immortal like 'Adam' too? :Spoiler/rant ended Yup this week's Episode was great. ^_^ |
Its really intriguing. You can't stop after one. I promise you. Kind of reminds me of xmen though.
|
Ohh wow, I just saw this week's episode, the ending was insane o____o;;
Geez, can't wait till next week xD; |
Is peter gonne get kaitlin back?
Is Niki gonna die? Is Matt's dad going to not be a threat anymore? Is Bob finally gonna tell us what he's been hiding (the rest of the story)? What's Hiro going to do now that his dad's dead? Kensei?!?!?!?! OMG OMG OMGGGGGGGG you guys, it needs to be next monday like...,yesterday XD |
If they just wrote Caitlin out of the show...I'm so mad that she might never show up again.
What is with the "no love can go right" thing on this show? First we've got Isaac/Simon, Peter/Simone, well THAT goes disasterously wrong, Matt/Janice, Ted/his wife, Nathan/his wife, D.L./Niki, then we've got Hiro/Charlie, now Hiro/Yaeko, and what they've done with Caitlin... The only couple on the show that's survived so far is HRG/Mr. Muggle's escort (I can never remember her name D:). Well, and West/Claire, but seeing as he just saw her father was HRG and everyone's betting he's a company man, that's probably going to end soon. Isn't that just...a little messed up? |
I don't think that Caitlin is gone forever . . . . Peter will probably find a way to get her back, or she will pop again somehow someway. That seemed too weird a cut-off otherwise.
Interesting point on the "no love can go right" thing. (As for the Matt/Janice one - in the episode that took place in the future, wasn't Matt protecting his /own/ child? Wouldn't that make it /his/ baby that he and Janice had together? So, wouldn't that mean that he wouldn't have had a reason to leave his wife? I think that must be a continuity error that the writers ignored in order to move the 2nd season plot in the direction they wanted. Poor Matt, but lucky Molly.) Nathan might still be able to salvage his marriage - I'm hoping that he will. I think the writers are just trying hard to turn everyone's world upside down, and one of the areas most affected is people's relationships. As for if Niki will die . . . . I won't be sorry to see her go if she does *makes party plans* But, I don't want Nathan to die in the first (or any) outbreaks, so I'm hoping for a cure before then. HRG has gotten SO sloppy! I knew it wouldn't be long until the Company was on to him. Did he really think that they wouldn't investigate the death of a former employee? Fingerprints - how obvious can you get! As for Kensei - I'm not sure that he can be counted on to be on the right side. Peter better be careful. |

The final reason behind their divorce is still unknown. But if Janice really did lie to him about the paternity of the baby, she was probably the one who wanted the divorce--maybe she couldn't take the strain of the situation anymore. Quote:

the last episode for me was like a 'what the heck' episode. i do admit, the season is slowly getting better. the kensei guy showing up at the end of the episode as adam, really made me go 'whaa..' i was definitely not sad to see caitlin go, didn't seem that much character development with her, and her irish accent was quite annoying. next weeks episodes looks like it'll be very interesting.

As for Peter vs Nathan - I don't think that Peter has all his memories back. I'm glad that some things are coming back to him, but he still might not even remember Nathan yet. That should get interesting. Meanwhile, I'm really excited about the 4 months ago episode coming out next week. It should help solve at least some of the many questions I have (and will probably give us more questions!) It should be very interesting! |

And...considering just how much strain he's gone through, Nathan should really get an award for not completely cracking. Quote:
He's really just been shooting himself in the foot this entire season. [quote] Quote:
Maybe if there is a fight between the brothers, Mama Petrelli will come in and break it up. After all, Peter would recognize her! :D |
Heroes? Bland? No Effin' way man.
First of all, the Hiro story line. How badass is that? Him and Kensei and Soooo gangster. Kensei can HEAL! ;D How awesome is that. Parkman also keeps getting cooler, with the whole Mouri arc, ect. I find that badass. The fact that Tehre are some with identical powers seems to give the show more of a realizm. Monica is also cool. She is a muscle mimic. er character is starting to grow on me. |
Oh, glee. Heroes fans. :D
Since it's easier to jump into the pool and hope you can figure it out before you drown than spending time and money on swimming lessons, I'll do so: Was anyone else really, really glad to see the back of West last episode? I mean, I realize he'll doubtlessly return, but for the mean time I'm quite happy. Normally a character I dislike originally grows on me - with West, my irritation only grows. West can go fly into a building really hard for all I care. And repeatedly, too. Caitlin, however, I felt sorry for. While her character wasn't anything special, it's hard not to sympathize with someone whose been dumped in an apocalyptic near future and been left without a hope of escape (via Peter). Shuhbluahkasomejus. I want Tuesday (since I have to watch my episodes on the internet~) to come already. It's a sad, sad day when I actually want the weekend to be over before it's begun. D: |
I was surprised to discover Kensai is also Adam.
Immortal much? I imagine they'll find some way to destroy him for good. And what's up with Sylar? No powers? ._. Quote:
Everyone's itching to find out what happens next week. I wonder if Adam/Kensai will have a shotdown o: Or maybe it'll be Peter who puts Mr Immortality to sleep... for good. Dx Damnit! I want it to be Monday now ;w; |
Sylar is now Maya's "handler". XD
Although, I just realized where his powers went. Bob gave Mohinder that vial of the altered virus to test on Monica. It was supposed to take her powers away. Sylar has, somehow, had his powers taken away by the company. So that means the company had already tested the altered virus on him, and it works? But then the syringe Niki had...it was supposed to contain the altered virus, right? Not the original, deadly one? Except Mohinder said it had mutated and would kill her. Yet...it must have mutated after Sylar was injected, as Sylar has yet to pass it to anyone else and hasn't had his health affected by it. Or did it mutate through contact with Sylar? O.o Dun dun dun! (No, I have no clue if that'd work, and it's probably miles off anyways. XD) |
Sylar might have the original virus, before the Company had the chance to mutate it. The Company, if they gave it to him, would likely have given it to him when they first got him - to prevent him from being dangerous. Otherwise he could have killed everyone at any time during his treatment.
West will probably be back in the next episode. His presence is really more of a hindrance to Claire than she realizes. I'll post more thoughts when I'm more awake. |
okay, i am officially annoyed with the way they treated D.L ~!!
his character became far more interesting than Nikki's! of course kill off Jessica, you are left with Nikki, who is pretty much physically weak without her dead sister coaching her on. so why not kill her off? Kensei... dude, let it go  and um... still cant seem to like the deadly wonder twins storyline. so she ended up killing an enter wedding party. still boring IMO because you knew it had to be something big, in order to motivate them to go to America. |
I completely agree with Bunai. DL was an interesting character, and a far better parent to Micah than Nikki. He should have no problem with that little bullet - he saw the guy walk right up to him! I guess that explains now why he died (because there wasn't enough justification at the end of last season), but still - I don't think he should be dead.
And yeah - the Maya and Alejandro backstory seemed a bit weak at best. So Maya kills of Alejandro's bride and all the guests at the wedding, immediately figures out that the plague came from her, then runs away to a nunnery assuming that doing so will solve things. Then Alejandro somehow finds her, and instantly decides to support Maya once he believes her story, not at all torn apart because he lost everyone else he cared about because of her. That also still doesn't explain how they came across Suresh's book. I liked how Adam's blood was able to cure Nathan, but don't tell me the Company didn't keep some samples of that blood for themselves. They shouldn't need Mohinder to kill HRG in order to get Claire - they are just using that as an excuse to manipulate Mohinder. They could probably cure Nikki right now if they wanted to, but no - why not kill two birds with one stone? It also shows just how big of a threat the Company considers HRG to be. I don't trust the Company, but the alternatives might get scary too. Adam has to have some ulterior motives. It's almost surprising he hasn't tried to team up with HRG yet, at least not that we know about. |
if this is how they are going to treat DL.
than. i guess he is better off dead. they brought him back once to just kill him...in fact he had a lot of death calls. though. i admit i am holding out that it was Nikki that got shot or someone behind them. because there is no way he should just die that easy. especially after Linderman shot him. lol. the book. yeah that is a bit weird. perhaps it will be explained, hopefully with a none plague eyed manner, but i doubt i will get my wish. at times you dont know what to think about Mohin... i guess that is the point. i still like the character, but sometimes his naivety can be a bit grating. totally wont be shocking if the Company got Adams blood, they are always taking everything else...but what purpose will Adams blood serve? it healed Nathan, but as far as i can tell - didnt take his power. guess they'll test it on someone Human. someone without the evolution gene. which makes me rethink Adam's power. he was hit with arrows. so either his power is similar to Clair, or its something about his cells and blood. he hasnt aged. |
HEROES :D
awww i love it ^^ here in germany it started october ... but the german synchro is sooo terribel >_< *cry* naw ... i much prefere the original voices :D |
