Sounds like you need to get yourself a more active guild :P
|
yeah I've been thinking of moving to my bfs server...but he's alliance and I don't really want to be. Plus four characters over to the other side plus server transfer. EXPENSIVE! If we were able to grind toons over to the other side I'd do it. But I don't like most of their bases. Maybe in a few expansions or wow 2. lol.
As it is I pretty much just do dailes and collect pets and mounts and recipes. |
Ewww Alliance, don't go xD
But yea, I recently transfered one of my toons over to a friend's server because they needed an enhance shammy. It's a very active guild and I get to do lots of stuff, but I miss my other toons and don't really want to fork over $100 to be able to play them all. |
Hmm, I just started WoW with the Cataclysm expansion as something to do in between games. I was big into FFXI which is dead now, and the sequel FFXIV is unplayable. No exaggeration there it IS unplayable.
I have an 85 restoration druid, which I thought would be helpful to get groups and meet people, though I'm used to damage dealing. I'm having a bit of a problem with my speed, though I use macros and such, so I'm really thinking just to level a dps to do something more or less like I'm used to. (I know I have dps w/moonkin, but something else.) I like the game well enough but still feel like I'm missing something. -- Editing now I just remembered I even started out as damage w/moonkin, but I didn't like waiting so long for groups. Maybe I just need to rock out the moonkin a bit to enjoy myself more ... |
Honestly, my advice is to try out every class in each of the specs. Play each of them for a bit and see which one you like playing.
I see you have lots of pvp gear. I don't pvp all that much myself, but I do hear that resto druids are very durable in pvp. Just try out the different classes and see what you like. Frost mages are pretty easy to level, so are hunters of any spec really. |
The thing I don't like about tree druids is that they all look like manly blocks of wood. I choose a female avatar for a reason. The animal form I can live with but the tree is just URG!
If Naga is ever a race I think mine will be a frost mage. on a side note... I WANT TO KILL THOSE PVP ACHIEVEMENT GRIEFERS! RRAR! |
You can get a minor glyph that makes you look like the old tree form.
|
Hehe I've just never liked the tree form at all for any of them.
I've got one of the pvp thing checked off my list now for that achievement. (yay) Now for the other three...booo. Still a good part of a week to get this done. I should be ok even if I just get 1 a day. |
I actually really liked the old tree form. Back when resto druids actually stayed in that form.
It was cool back then. I don't like the tree form is a cooldown now, so lame. Trees had the best dance. |
yeah the dances were cute. I just didn't like the looks of them.
I have 2/4 of those PvP things done now. The last two are really hard for someone that doesn't PvP. I'm not even sure what to do lol. |
Oh, I'm on a PVP server, so I always wear my PVP gear while I fish before bed so people don't come and kill me. That's how it winds up on my armory. I do some bgs but I don't do arena, it's a bit too stressy for me.
Besides resto/moonkin the only other class/spec I've liked was enhancing shaman. I have a level 70 one at the moment, but I really don't know if I'd want to do much with it. I'm going to keep trying as I learn more about the game but I've tried every class but paladin so far. I feel kind of sad that I missed out on the all tree all the time era. I would have loved that. I really would like to get into hunter, I think. I played a summoner in FFXI, so I get the whole pet tanking idea. Though I know the beastmaster hunter is not all that popular at the moment. |
I play an enhance shaman as my main right now and I love it.
Here's my shammy If you wanted any tips on playing one, I could help you with that. |
I'm not sure what to do with my enhancement shaman at the moment. I've really only mined on her since last week. Kind of at a loss after the flame nova talent change.
|
I actually like the chance a lot.
It give more flexibility on how it can be used and you can have it go off on up to 3 different enemies at the same time if you get your timing right. |
I'm guessing at level 70 I'm using it more as a crutch for free damage. Well, used rather. I did a few dungeons yesterday, and it didnt seem so bad, but I didn't have a dps meter going, either.
Also on my main I did the quest chain that gives out Withers and made myself the turbo helicopter. I spent too much time playing, yesterday. But it was Sunday, so I guess that was fine. |
Server: Canariujs
Name: Sreenath Level: 81 Race/Class: Blood elf/Hunter Spec: Beast Master Server: Canariujs Name: Natoshia Level: 47 Race/Class: Goblin/Shaman Spec: Elemental I have others, but I dun care about them too terribly much. Trying to relearn everything about the game, after a work forced 7-8 month break. Le sigh. So much has chaaaaanged. |
So many horde players. I feel kind of silly.
|
Haha yea I'm a proud Horde through and through.
I even have a t shirt with the Horde crest on it. |
I made one Alliance character... when I first joined the game. Because that was the side my roommate was part of.
It took me all of thirty minutes to delete her and go to the Horde. Hahaha! |
The Horde just seem so much better. Like I made a troll huntress and she automatically started out with a raptor pet. I can't even express how awesome that is. And the troll druid has a bat flight form. I mean, come on, you can't get better than that.
|
The Alliance is just so boring to be honest.
Why would you play a fantasy role playing game and be a human? They've got humans, shorter stout humans, even smaller puntable humans, elves, space goats and fan service (worgen). The Horde is so much more interesting. You've got the honourable warrior and shamanistic orcs, the wacky voodoo trolls, the noble tauren, the deadly Forsaken (I love you Sylvanas <3), the pretty boy blood elves and those crazy goblins. The humans in Warcraft, especially King Chin (Wrynn), is a total asshole jerkface. This doesn't just apply to NPCs either. I find that the general attitude of the Alliance players is to look down on the Horde with a sense of superiority. I've played on multiple servers and made toons on both sides to compare. The Alliance is full of immature idiots and children who camp low level Hordies because they think it make them tough. I've asked many Horde players if they do this and the great majority of them say the only reason they attack a low level Alli is in retaliation for them attacking without being provoked. Horde4life. |
Okay, I'm just going to ignore those two negative paragraphs so this thread doesn't die.
My boyfriends computer is down for a week, so I think I may see how far I can get with a brand new paladin while he is offline. |
Anyone have any idea when the winged lion mount will be released?
I actually really like this one compared to the star pony. |
I used to play this game a few years ago. I had a Troll shaman and a Drenai paladin. I would love to play again, but I don't have the time or the money so I quit. T_T
Edit Also, a couple months after I quit, I got permabanned. Somehow someone hacked my account and was using it to... I can't remember but obviously bad stuff. So if I were to go back, I'd have to get a new account and stuff. But, not having my old characters to return to deters me a bit from wanting to go back, but not as much as time/money. I really, truly did love this game. xD |
So I bought the Winged Guardian.
I'm sort of a mount collector and I liked how it looked a lot more compared to the star pony. Plus any character that I make ever will have it, so it's not too bad. |
