Everyone has a bad experience. Me, well, I've seen things said in the trade talk that I'm not about the repeat here. Getting caught up in the game is like getting addicted to beer. It's an addiction that doesn't happen to everyone.

Yea, some have stories worse than that. I've heard stories where new parents had their newborn die at home since they were too occupied with the game to notice. =/
So there's some extremes and there's also people like me who tend to play pretty casually with friends. |
That's how I am. I have two friends who play, one of whom is on the other side of the world. I didn't meet him on warcraft, we actually met in a harry potter chat, but that's a different story. The other friend is like a sister to me in real life.

One is a friend I've known for 9 years just online. xD She's like a little sister to me and we finally transfered onto the same server. :) My main now left Dragonmaw and lives on Kil'Jaeden... |
I can't transfer my main... she has a guild I'm trying to revive on Madoren.

Is World of Warcraft worth playing? I've been contemplating trying a free trial, but if it's sucky, then I don't even want to try it. I know that a ton of people play it, but I honestly can't see the appeal.

It's very worth playing. :)
And try a free trial. It's 10 days of just trying out the game with a few restrictions so that people can't exploit them. :) It's a lot of fun! Definitely give it a try, what do you have to lose with a trial? If you like it you can pay for the account and it let's you keep the character and removes the restrictions on it. Like the highest level you can get to is 20 on a trial account... and you can't use the auction house or the mailboxes. :) |
Hmm...I might try it then. Are there different prices for the subscription like yearly or is it just a monthly fee?

I really don't remember since it's been a long time since I've had a friend pay with a credit card and I think that's the only way that it's somewhat cheaper.
I pay my account with Prepaid Game cards... You can pick them up almost anywhere, Target, Best Buy... Most games stores like Game Stop and Electronic Boutique stock them as well. :) And the 10 day free trial is well... free. :) You don't need to pay for it once the 10 days are over unless you want to. <3 |
Hmm...that might be a good idea. And maybe stock up on a couple of the cards for when I'm a little short on money. I was pretty much only asking because if I like it, then I don't want to have to wait to play it again after the free trial expires. xD

It's not hard to find game cards. :)
Target and Best Buy are both really good places to buy them that are usually decently stocked with them. ^-^ |
Yeah, Target is generally where I get my Maplestory cards. I'll probably check either the Longs Drugs or Walgreens near me to see if they carry them since if they do then I don't have to drive to the Target. xD

What's the difference between Horde and Alliance? I've heard "For the Horde!" yelled out in a busy corridor by people at Comic Con San Diego and I knew it was a WoW thing, but I don't get it. Help a confused Shrimpie out? *pathetic face*
