Okies it's just a faction thing. :)
Alliance have the Humans, Night Elves, Gnomes, Dwarves + Draenai... Horde have the Undead, Trolls, Tauren, Orcs + Blood Elves... It really makes no difference except the areas you end up playing. Not to mention it determines which side you fight. PVP servers are what I play on and they mean player vs player... So whichever faction you chose... you fight the other one all the time in almost any zone. (they can't attack you in the beginning zones unless you attack them) PvE servers mean plaver vs the Environment, so the other faction can't attack you and vice versa unless you enable pvp and that's a command. These places are easier to play the game in peace (you wont play with the constant paranoia that there's a rogue stealthed behind you waiting to ambush you) And last, RP or roleplaying servers which are the same as PvE servers but you well... roleplay. :) So the faction doesn't matter in the long run, it's what you like most. I wanted to play horde but my exboyfriend played alliance and I was going to desperately need help so I went and played alliance with him. :) There's a few different quests, both have some really cool unique ones. :) The towns are different for each race, so if you play horde it's going to take waiting till you're 70 and can fight your way into the alliance cities to see them.... and even then you'll be dead the majority of the time you're in there since alliance players will kill you. The biggest thing is you can't talk to the other faction at all. And if you play on a PvP server you can only make characters of one faction, not both. I wanted my hunter lvl 70 too :( I'm at 38. Oh well. I heard they're slicing at some hunter skills to make their pvp harder.

Brewfest is so much fun!
I've partaken in other ones, like Valentine's day events and Darkmoon Faire, but none of them are this easy or fun. |
Fire Festival is really easy too. :)
And Christmas/Halloween are easy and fun as well. Halloween you'll see people flying around on broomsticks and people transformed into costumes by wands. Fun stuff. :) Christmas is a little more low key in comparison, but flying reindeers and presents galore. <3 |

I get the same thing from horde, Taliah. I recently went for a walk near the barrens. A couple quests were close to it and three tauren got me.

I ran across the bridge towards the inn and an orc warlock had nothing better to do with his time than kill me... =/ People are bored and restless waiting for the expansion to come out. It's sucky but the truth. >< |
I haven't run into trouble with the opposite faction ganking me. Of course, I tend to stay away from PvP servers/being flagged outside of a BG... >.> I fail at PvP, but love battlegrounds. XD How crazy is that?
